** Many fans who saw the [[WhamShot final picture]] in Season 2's penultimate episode correctly guessed the person shown was not [[spoiler: Obake, but rather [[VillainousLegacy Trina]], primarily due to earlier {{foreshadowing}} and the shadowed figure's head not being as long as Obake's]].

** Even if they don't share the screen together, in "The Impatient Patient", both Jaq and Dr. Sheila are voiced by Kerri Kenney.

* RoleReprise:
** Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, Jamie Chung, Génesis Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Alan Tudyk, David Shaughnessy, and [[spoiler:Creator/StanLee]] return as Hiro, Baymax, [=GoGo=], Honey Lemon, Cass, Krei, Heathcliff (Fred's butler), and [[spoiler:Fred's Dad]], respectively. Paul Briggs also returns as the voice of Yama.
** The official press release for the series also announced James Cromwell returning as Callaghan and Daniel Henney as Tadashi (albeit as recordings or other past things, due to him being dead in the present).
** "The Bot Fighter" saw Charlotte Guzelian reprise her role as the "ringmaster" of Yama's bot fights (although the credits listed her simply as "Yama's Assistant").
** The Japanese dub brings back the entire cast from the film, as well as most of the Latin American Spanish dub, with exceptions being Honey Lemon, Wasabi and Aunt Cass.

Mark [=McCorkle=] and Bob Schooley are the creators and executive producers of both shows, and the cast features Christy Carlson Romano (Kim and Trina), Creator/WillFriedle (Ron and Ian/Hardlight), Creator/PattonOswalt (Professor Dementor and Mr. Sparkles), Nestor Carbonell (Señor Senior Jr. and Chief Cruz), Creator/JohnDiMaggio (Dr. Drakken and Roddy Blair) and Creator/NicoleSullivan (Shego and Hangry Panda).

** The Mad Jacks appear to be based on the deleted movie villains the Bonsai Bombers.

** Despite being ScrewedByTheNetwork later on, Disney XD did show some love toward the end by airing a 23 hour marathon of the show from February 14 to February 15, 2021 leading up to the series finale (this seems to be a common practice recently as Disney XD has been doing such marathons with ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'' and ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' for leading up to their series finales).

** An odd variation happens from episodes starting with "Hiro The Villain" . Episodes premiere first on Disney XD, and then on Disney Channel eight days later. The show would play this straight later and officially air new episodes exclusively on Disney XD for the third and final season.

* DawsonCasting: All of the returning actors from the film are still voicing teenagers and college students despite being at least in their 20s-30s. Among the new actors, we have 45 year old Khary Payton as Wasabi and 31 year old Brooks Whelan as Fred. The closest in age to their characters is 17 year old Hayley Tju as Karmi and 18 year old Sophie Reynolds as Juniper.

* ExecutiveMeddling: According to Bob Schooley, the reason for Season 3 having eleven-minute episodes is the network wanting to focus more on [[https://twitter.com/bob_schooley/status/1293951076056457216 comedy]]. As a result, [[https://twitter.com/bob_schooley/status/1364465974892589057 a storyline focusing on Karmi]] had to be scrapped.

** The bomb format of Season 2 caused the show to have large gaps in between the sets of episodes. The first ten episodes aired during a two-week period ending on May 17th, 2019, and then took a four month break. The next eight aired during a two week period ending on September 11th, 2019, and then another four month break happened. The final seven episodes went back to a once-a-week format in January of 2020 and finished on February 8th. The only exception was the episode "The Present", which served as a ChristmasEpisode separate from the rest of the scheduling.

* PlayingGertrude:
** Maya Rudolph, who voices Aunt Cass, is two months younger than Khary Payton, Wasabi's voice actor in this series, despite her character being older than his character.
** Creator/JeffBennett voices a [[VagueAge vague-aged]] [[EvilOldFolks old supervillain]] (who looks in his 90's at the least), yet he's in his 50's.

* FanNickname:
** "Scone Daddy" or "Glowstick Man" for Obake.
*** The robotic copy of him that appeared in "Countdown To Catastrophe" is called "Robake".
*** His younger self is sometimes called "Emobake" due to Obake having an EmoTeen haircut.
** "[=NBB=]" for Noodle Burger Boy.
** Momakase is referred as "Knife Wife" or "Knife Mom" by her fans.

** The TV series features Creator/KharyPayton taking over the role of Wasabi and Creator/BrooksWheelan as Fred. The latter was likely due to Creator/TJMiller being busy with ''WesternAnimation/TheEmojiMovie''. While Miller did reprise Fred in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII'' (though Payton still replaced Damon Wayans Jr. as Wasabi), it seems like that will be his final reprise due to [[RoleEndingMisdemeanor Miller becoming a magnet for controversy in late 2018]].

** The Polish dub replaced Hiro's, Baymax's and Fred's voice actors. Also, after Jerzy Dominik, who originally voiced Bluff Dunder in Polish dub, [[AuthorExistenceFailure died in September 2019]], his character is voiced by Zbigniew Suszyński starting from episode ''City of Monsters – Part Two''.

* CopiouslyCreditedCreator: In-Universe example. Karmi's chibi series was done by her from A to Z, and the credits at the end of the episode Fred and Hiro is watching shows her username '''everywhere'''.

* RecycledTheSeries: To ''{{WesternAnimation/Big Hero 6}}''.

** Creator/ManOfActionStudios wanted to create a cartoon, due to having created the team, but were told by {{Creator/Disney}} that they already had plans for the characters in a [[WesternAnimation/BigHero6 feature film]]. ''Big Hero 6'' did end up being a TV series, but Man of Action doesn't have any creative involvement, only being credited for creating the team.
