Trivia / Behind the Bastards

Go To

  • Accidentally-Correct Writing: In "Part One: Josef Mengele & The Nazi Doctors", Matt Lieb jokes about Hitler's cousin making a calculator called the TI-88 or TI-Heil-Hitlernote  Texas Instruments actually did make a calculator called the TI-88, though it never entered mass production (and obviously, it wasn't made by Hitler's cousin.)
  • He Also Did: Robert Evans was a writer on Cracked for several years before starting the podcast. He even briefly cohosted a podcast called "Cracked Gets Personal," shortly before the site imploded. Robert also wrote the science fiction novel After the Revolution.
  • Promoted Fanboy: One of the more frequent guests of the podcast, Propaganda, was a frequent listener of the pod prior to the guest invitation. Propaganda's own podcast has since also been hosted on the same network as Behind the Bastard's.
  • Throw It In!: While the podcast format does allow leeway for Robert and his guests to interject with their own thoughts, opinions, or other dialogue, generally Robert gets to stick to his written script for the episode. The one time he gets utterly derailed from his script is during the live show about the "Soldier of Fortune" magazine with David X. Cohen when David interrupts him in a bit of the subject of a quote dying before Robert could finish the quote.
Robert: I don't even want to finish the quote now.
David: Short interview. Finish the quote.
Robert: No, No. Y'know what? We're going to let that one sit.
