Trivia / Bad Sister

• California Doubling: Set in Southern California and filmed there, with the Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel in the role of St. Adeline's High School. But this is a case of Denomination Doubling, since it's an Episcopal church posing as a Catholic school.
• Cast the Expert: Like his character Jason, Devon Werkheiser is a singer-songwriter.
• Dawson Casting: Devon Werkheiser was 24 when he played Jason, and definitely looks too old to be a high school kid. Sloane Avery as Sara was the same age, but looks young enough to pass. Ryan Newman averted this, since she was 17 when she played Jason's sister Zoe.
• Playing Against Type: Devon Werkheiser and Ryan Newman, with plenty of squeaky-clean Nickelodeon and Disney Channel credits in their pasts, appearing in a decidedly sleazy Lifetime thriller, even though they still play the innocent victims here.
• She Also Did: Jessica Honor Carleton, who plays the real Sister Sophia in a flashback scene, has an extensive resume working in children's television alongside her acting. She's currently a writer for Sesame Street.
