- Awesome, Dear Boy: Shusuke Kaneko, the director of the second film, arranged for Chiaki Kuriyama to be cast because he was a fan of Kill Bill and wanted to work with the famous Gogo Yubari.
- The Other Darrin: The Brazilian DVD releases of the movies have completely different dub casts for each movie.
- Troubled Production: The second film's writers effectively ran into a corner, so they called in Yoshiaki Kawajiri, who was working for the same producer at the time. He soon spiced up the film with some references to his work Ninja Scroll.
