• Creator's Favorite Episode: Tim Minear, Joss Whedon, David Greenwalt, David Boreanaz and Alexis Denisof have stated that this is one of their favorite episodes of the series.
• Hey, It's That Place!: The scene in which Judy and Angel meet before she attends the theatre was filmed at the Griffith Park Observatory located at the top of Mount Hollywood. The Observatory is one of the highest spots in Los Angeles, offering fantastic views of the city below. Many movies have been made there, including Rebel Without a Cause, The Terminator and The Rocketeer.
• Throw It In!: Tony Amendola, who plays the Thesulac, came up with the idea of speaking with a southern accent. This ties into the Thesulac's theme of exploiting fear and bigotry.
• Word of God: Tim Minear says that he often gets asked about what Angel did with the stolen money that he recovered from its hiding place fifty years after stashing it in the hotel. Minear says that as far as he is concerned, Angel did not keep the money or use it to buy the hotel - instead, Minear says, Angel sent it back to the bank in Salina, Kansas, from which Judy stole it in 1952.
