Timeline / Katmandu

Go To

While Katmandu doesn't have many dated events, especially those beyond the ones mentioned in the Katmandu Handbook, the chronology of these can be easily tracked by some clues given inside the comic. Note that this timeline include events from both Leah and Liska's eras and it also include canonical side-stories as well.

  • NOTE: This timeline include unmarked spoilers from both eras.

Liska's era (Before When Warriors Die)

  • Side-story Proper Training (Katmandu: The XXX Files) Time elapsed: Unknown, but it takes place decades before the events from the comic when Mother Sanna was younger.

  • Woman of Honor (issues 4, 5 & 6) Time elapsed: two and half years
    • Side-story Weddings (issue 23): Happens a few days later.

  • Family Matters (issue 31) Time elapsed: One day; happens a few days after Liska wins warrior status in Woman of Honor in issue 5 and between The Search of Magic.

  • The Search of Magic (issues 13, 14 & 15) Time elapsed: Aprox. many months; Takes place two weeks after Woman of Honor.

  • The Peacemaker (issues 19, 20, & 21) Time elapsed: Two days; Takes place likely a year after The Search of Magic.

  • The Hunt (issue 25) Time elapsed: About 12 days; Takes place five years after The Peacemaker.

  • Not What It Seems (issues 26 & 27) Time elapsed: Three and a half days; Takes places after an unknown number of years after the events of The Hunt.
    • Side-story Families (Katmandu Annual #1): Takes place likely a month before the events of When Warriors Die and a few days after the events from Not What It Seems.

  • When Warriors Die (issues 7, 8 & 9) Time elapsed: Two months on regards of the attack and a few months afterwards at the end of the issue; Takes place twelve years between Woman of Honor and this sub-arc.

Liska's era (After When Warriors Die)

  • Curse of the Blood (issues 10, 11 & 12) Time elapsed: Winter season; Takes place in the aftermath after When Warriors Die.

  • Beginnings and Endings (issues 22, 23 & 24) Time elapsed: Two days in-universe and a decade before regarding Hesta's backstory; Takes place after Curse of the Blood.

  • Ceremonies (issues 16, 17 & 18) Time elapsed: Three days; Takes place very likely in the spring season of the following year after the events of Beginnings and Endings.

  • Wicked Ways (issues 28, 29 & 30) Time elapsed: eleven days; Takes place three years after the events of Ceremonies.

  • Runt (issues 32 & 33) Time elapsed: Two days; Takes place three days after the events of Wicked Ways.

  • Witch of the Woods (issue 34) Time elapsed: One day; Takes place eleven years after the events of Runt.

Liska's era (After Witch of the Woods)

  • A Simple Life (issues 35, 36 and 37, final arc of the comic) Time elapsed: Many days, but the final battle took place in a single night; Takes places three years after the end of Witch of the Woods and 37 years since the very beginning of the comic.

Leahtrah's era

  • Velites and Hoplites (issues 1, 2 & 3) Time elapsed: two and a half months; Takes place 200 years after the events from Liska's era.
    • Side-story The Gate. Time elapsed: Many days; Takes place in the same time period during Leah and Thorin's journey, but in a very different place.
    • Side-story Journey's End. Time elapsed: A single night; Takes place many years after the events from The Gate.

  • Woman of Honor (issues 4, 5 & 6) Time elapsed: seven months and a half; Takes place a few days after Leah's wedding with Thorin.

  • When Warriors Die (issues 7, 8 & 9) Time elapsed: About two or three days; Takes place five years after the previous arc.

  • Curse of the Blood (issues 10, 11 & 12) Time elapsed: A single night; since Leah is the only protagonist from her era appearing here, outside a pacient and her child, it's basically impossible to pinpoint the time period this story took place in the chronology of the story.

  • The Search of Magic (issues 13, 14 & 15) Time elapsed: A single day; very likely takes place a few days after the last sub-arc.

  • Ceremonies (issues 16, 17 & 18) Time elapsed: One or two days; very likely takes a few months after the events from When Warriors Die.

  • The Peacemaker (issues 19, 20, & 21) Time elapsed: A whole day; very likely takes place a few days after the last sub-arc.

  • Beginnings and Endings (issues 22, 23 & 24) Time elapsed: Two weeks; very likely takes place a few days after the last sub-arc.

  • The Hunt (issue 25) Time elapsed: A single night.
