Distant Past

• Twin Brothers Primus and Unicron are created. Later on, Unicron, now more destructive, was stopped by Primus, who struggle for eons.
• Primus creates the Thirteen Primes. All 13 work to help their father fight and defeat Unicron, who was then banished through the cosmos and becomes the core of the planet that would later become Earth. Primus becomes one with the core of what would later become Cybertron.
• Schism of the Primes. Liege Maximo manipulates Megatronus to kill Solus Prime.
  • As a result, the Primes have to banish Megatronus from the matrix. Thus, he was forever known as The Fallen.
• A species known as Predacons comes into being, but are rendered extinct by a natural calamity.
• After millennia of working with the others, Vector Prime chooses to remove himself to the void as he feels that keeping time also means he should take on a more observational role in life.
• The Golden Age: Life on Cybertron is at its peak. Society, technology, exploration are all advancing for the betterment of all Cybertronians. Via Spacebridges, multiple planets are colonized and thrive.
• The Golden Age ends with the onset of the Rust Plague: a horrific disease that instantly rusts any metal it touches, including Cybertronians. The ruling Sentinel Zeta Prime orders the destruction of all Spacebridges to keep the Plague from reaching Cybertron itself.
• In the old days of humanity, all lived in a collective consciousness, feeling no need for anger, hate or evil. From this world, a being called Saturnus was born. With a will of his own, he also possessed something that would later be called a Code, which grants perfect immortality through resurrection from injuries. Though separate from the consciousness, Saturnus became The Good King to his people, seeking to give people their own independent thought.
  • Saturnus eventually had 2 children born with their own powers called Geass. A power that is used through the body (typically the eyes) which reflects a soul's desires. His daughter, Yehowah, had a Geass that removed afflictions. But his son, Beleth had a Geass which caused discord and pain.
  • Realizing that he would outlive his children with his code, Saturnus sought to pass it to his good daughter. But upon giving it to her, Beleth killed him.
  • Later, using Dark Energon, the Blood of Unicron, Beleth stole Yehowah's new code, but at the cost of his body. Nevertheless, Beleth then began traveling the world, giving evil powers to sow chaos in the world.
    • Yehowah meanwhile would pass into the afterlife, but so great was her will and power that her mind changed the collective unconsciousness of humanity so that it took on her form.
  • Without their 3 leaders, old humanity fell apart. The collective unconscious was broken, and individuality became the norm.
• In the ancient past, Cybertronians began sending relics to Earth for safekeeping.

Fall of Cybertron

• Eventually, a rigid caste system is put in place in Cybertronian society. Cybertronians of lower castes are left as little better than slaves, unable to advance from their lot in life. Corruption and decadence begins to take root.

Age of Rust

• Miner D-16, also known as Megatronus, rises through the Cybertronian ranks through gladiatorial matches, earning the support of a Cybertron affected by the caste system. Data clerk Orion Pax, who initially supports Megatron's uprising, befriends him, hoping to change Megatronus' ideals for the better.
  • As the movement grows, Megatronus decides to create a new persona to separate himself from the historical prime. Instead, going by Megatron.
  • Then came the fateful day when Megatron presented himself before the high council of Cybertron, where his deeper beliefs were exposed. He proclaimed that he would overthrow Sentinel Zeta Prime and demanded to become the next leader. However, Orion instead sought a way to change the caste system without using violence. To create a new system of autonomous robots where all could be free to choose their best path forward. A system of Autobots. The council was impressed, agreeing to implement his plan, and making him the next leader.
    • Megatron though was outraged, and so gathered his followers who were called Decepticons. And thus carried out his threat to attempt to overthrow the government and claim the mantle of leadership.

The Great War

• Despite repeatedly going to Megatron, seeking to find a resolution without resorting to war, Orion is forced to assume leadership as Optimus Prime: War general.
  • Among his leading followers are Rachet: chief medical officer, Ironhide: Elder warrior and Ultra Magnus: Leader of the Elite Guard.
  • Ordinary bots such as laborer Bulkhead and light scouts Arcee and Bumblebee also take up the ever increasing war.
• Megatron meanwhile had absolute control of the Decepticons, creating no higher position than First Lieutenant.
  • Chief among his supporters were Shockwave: head of research, Soundwave: Chief of Communications, and Starscream: Leader of the Seekers and Number Two of the Decepticons.
  • Sky-Byte and Quillboar join the cons on the grounds that they believe in Megatron's revolutionary rhetoric.
  • Breakdown ended up joining out of respect for Megatron's strength after losing a fight to him.
  • Knock-Out was taken on as the Deception Chief Medical officer on account that he saw the Cons as "the winning team", and didn't want to fight for a side that would lose.
  • Starscream also brought along a team of researchers turned warriors he called The Seekers. These include Thundercracker, Slipstream and Skywarp.
  • A team of laborers called the Constructicons were lured to Megatron's side with a promise of becoming more than just a team of laborers. In a sense, they get their wish as they're giving Combiner powers to become the powerful Devastator, but they still long for more influence beyond that in the ranks.
• During the war, the scout Arcee is captured and passed off to their Torture Technician Arachnid. Unable to get any true information, Arachnid then kills her partner Tailgate. Thankfully, Bumblebee and Cliffjumper rescue her shortly afterwards. Yet her despair in losing someone so close to her would haunt Arcee for millennia to come.
• Starscream and Megatron manage to convert Starscream's Energon research station into the powerful Decepticon Trypticon.
• The Decepticons also aren't above using awful tactics to fight.
  • They created artificial Toxic Energon to use as biological warfare, devastating an entire squadron of autobots to a slow death without quick medical aid.
  • They stole old autobot relics like The Apex Armor to use for their own ends.
  • They crafted personalized weapons for the strongest in their ranks like The Resonance Blaster for Soundwave.
  • And they even tried raiding the Iacon hall of Relics for other possible weapons, forcing Alpha Trion to shoot the relics to Earth to keep them from Megatron's hands.

Early Imperial Calendar

• Sakuradite is discovered in Stonehenge, but it is also known as Energon; the lifeblood of Cybertronians.
• A young lady named Cera is given first a Geass and then a Code. However, such a thing wasn't truly voluntary, and as a result, Cera slowly grows disconnected and frustrated by her life. Without the ability to die or truly pass on her Code, Cera adopts the persona of C.C. and seeks out a contractor who would finally give her a way to die.
• The British Isles are conquered by Napoleon, and the royal family (alongside nobles from across continental Europe) flees to the American Colonies, eventually rebranding as the Holy Britannian Empire.

Near Past

• After ages of conflict, Megatron gains control of the Blood of Unicron, Dark Energon. Entering the core of Cybertron, he poisons the core with the Dark Energon in hopes of controlling the planet itself (mortally wounding Skyquake, one of his most loyal followers, for trying to stop him). Instead, it damages the core, forcing Primus to go into hibernation to recover. Primus delivers the Matrix of Leadership to Optimus and shuts down.
• Cybertron slowly becomes unable to sustain life. The Autobots and Decepticons separately make plans to flee the planet.
  • Also in the midst of the endgame, Arcee is captured again, this time brought before Starscream alongside Cliffjumper. Needing to get the Autobot communication codes, Soundwave persuades Starscream to take them to the Decepticon chief scientist Shockwave. Using the Cordical Psychic patch, they find out about the Autobots' plans to flee Cybertron, but Arcee and Cliffjumper escape. In the confusion of their escape, Shockwave is lost in a Spacebridge explosion, presumed dead.
  • Trypticon is destroyed and taken apart for study. Unfortunately, in the chaos of needing to plan the evacuation, Megatron manages to retrieve the pieces, and then converts them into his new Warship: The Nemesis.
  • To ensure that none of the sacred relics or dangerous weapons would fall back into Decepticon arms, Alpha Trion sends his catalog off to earth to be retrieved at a later time.
• On Earth, the Emblem of Blood has begun, a time period when members of the royal family plotted and targeted each other to gain the throne.

1963 a.t.b.

• During the exodus from Cybertron, the Decepticons attack the Autobots' ship, the Ark. Both factions and their ships are teleported to the planet Earth, crashing on the planet (Autobots) or its moon (Decepticons).
  • Also during the exodus, Grimlock and his team, the Lightning Strike Coalition Force, escape from the laboratories where Shockwave was experimenting on them, giving them dinosaur modes. Using their new forms, the Dinobots destroy Shockwave's laboratory and Space Bridge tower. Grimlock is the only one unable to escape, as the explosion sends him to Earth. Landing in the Sahara Desert he enters stasis lock for fifty years.
• Victor zi Britannia and his younger twin brother Charles, having run away after the assassination of their mother, encounter Megatron in the woods after his crash landing. Despite his obvious disdain for the small organics, Megatron nonetheless takes an interest in the two, offering to advance their technology and mentor them in how to conduct the expansion of their nation.
• Victor contracts with an unidentified Code Bearer, eventually faking his death and claiming the Code at a young age. He takes the name V.V. and begins experimenting with the power Geass. This is kept from Megatron.

1990's-2008

• Charles zi Britannia ends the Emblem of Blood in 1997 a.t.b. with his ascension to the throne as 98th Britannian Emperor. He implements a policy of Social Darwinism to justify aggressive expansion across the globe in the search of Thought Elevators. He also marries a wide "harem" of women to birth the greater royal family. These include Anticlea, Victoria and others. However, his favorite was the commoner-turned-Knight of the Round, Marianne.
  • To start working on a secret plan to "kill God" though uniting all consciousnesses in Ragnarok, he forms a contract with older brother, and gains the power to rewrite memories.
  • Charles rapidly births a family who would make for a coalition of powerful administrators and generals. Given his influences by Megatron though, he keeps much of them at arms length, treating them as assets to compete against each other.
    • Key among his children are his heir Odysseus, his prime minister Schneizel, his great general Cornelia and a host of younger siblings growing into positions like Clovis, Euphemia, Carina, Laila, Marybell, Castor and Pollux. There were also Marianne's two children who would have a destiny even greater than all the others to come: Lelouch and Nunnally vi Britannia.
    • Charles also had a secret tryst with Sakura Kururugi which birthed 2 bastards: Kaizaren and Erina. Due to needing to maintain face, Charles sets them up in the Philippines for a quiet life while he and Victor decide what to do with them.
• Marianne is born a commoner whose parents died when she was very young. When she turned 9, she's adopted into a noble family as a way to "motivate" her step-sister Elizabeth to outdo her.
  • Despite this, Marianne's own natural talent with Knightmares catches Charles's eye, and she's prepared to move into the royal palace.
    • Outraged at this "snubbing", Elizabeth wants to kill Marianne, but Marianne's own fear and anger cause her to kill all 3 of the attackers.
    • To keep this quiet, Charles rewrites everyone's memories.
  • While invited to join Ragnarok, Marianne is at first hesitant, but after serving in Charles's wars for years, she eventually decides that Humanity cannot be trusted to change, and makes a contract with Charles and V.V.'s secret 3rd partner: C.C.
• The Zevron family is given authority to work with Pluton: Charles and V.V.'s secret hit squad using the Geass order.
  • The position was originally given to knight of the round Olivia Zeviron, the female heir of the family. She'd given birth to fraternal twins Oldrin and Orpheus.
    • Orpheus was stolen at birth by V.V., though using a cover story of him being "useless" as a male.
    • Despite this, Olivia still wanted to find her son, but never made much headway.
  • However, Olivia's jealous brother Oiagros orchestrated a "terrorist attack" to seize the position for himself. Dueling his sister with swords, he kills her in front of Oldrin, making himself the new head of Pluton.

2009 a.t.b. - The Murder Mistakes

• In a jealous rage, V.V. attempts to kill Marianne vi Britannia for drawing his brother's attention. On her supposed death, the royal family is shaken to its core.
  • Lelouch demands justice for her death, but Charles, using Megatron's lessons, declares those children of hers dead to him, and sends him and his sister Nunnally into exile in Japan. Though part of his motivation was to keep them away from Uncle Victor.
  • Sisters Euphemia and Cornelia are both shocked and horrified at Marianne's death, with Cornelia herself conducting an investigation into her death.
  • Marianne saves her consciousness inside of a Knight of the Round named Anya Alstreim.
    • With her geass now fully active, Marianne and Charles briefly experiment with her living inside the mainframe of a thought elevator. While successful, Marianne eventually returns to Anya because she's not safe from V.V. to return to her old body yet.
• Marybell also demands justice for her own mother's death, but gets exiled from the family for her trouble. Going to live with the Zevon family, Marrybell and the Zevon heiress Oldrin enroll in military academy together. Several years later Marrybell is reinstated into the royal family.

C.C.'s Activities

• Roughly around the year 2000, C.C. tries an experiment of sorts to find a contractor who will gain enough power to kill her: she forms a contract with a six year old named Mao, who gains mind reading powers. Unfortunately, despite her own efforts, these powers and the fact that Mao had all sorts of developmental issues eventually lead to C.C. leaving Mao in fear. Mao for his part swears to find her and make a new home with her away from all others.
• Despite helping Charles and V.V set up Ragnarok, eventually C.C. decides to walk away from the plan, though since her code is necessary to get it going, Britannia pursues her to the ends of the earth under the guise of expansion.
• In the year 2007 or so, C.C., while fleeing from the forces of Britannia, happens upon a young Leila Breisgau, fleeing the assassination attempt on her family. C.C. saves her from drowning in a frozen lake, and decides to plant a seed in Leila's mind. A potential to grow a Geass, but without activation yet due to her learning from Mao in not wanting a child to take on such a big responsibility. Leila is adopted into the Malcal family, and eventually joins the military.

The Fall of Japan

2010 a.t.b.

• Charles gets intelligence that C.C. is in Japan, and uses that pretext to launch an invasion to capture her. Though slightly concerned for his children there, he and Marianne rationalize that after Ragnarok, any deaths will be overturned.
• With the aid of the newly-developed Knightmare Frames, Britannia quickly conquers Japan, renaming it Area 11.
  • The Kururugi family wanted to go into a scorched earth policy, to "fight to the last". However, Suzaku decides to end the slaughter, and kills his father to ensure its surrender.
  • Enraged, Lelouch vows to destroy Britannia. He and his sister go into hiding with the Ashford family as the Lamperouge siblings.
• Meanwhile, an invasion of the Philipines takes place, where Kaizaren von Britannia, bastard son of Charles and Genbu Kururugi's sister was living with his mother and younger sister. The invasion ends with the Philippines becoming Area 12.
  • Sometime before, V.V. had approached Kaizaren with an offer to have a contract in exchange for helping him and his brother "fulfill their dream". He gains mind control powers, which are activated by vocal command. In his anger, he loses control of his Geass and commands everyone to fight back, and so everyone on the island fights to the death, with his mother and sister dying in battle.
  • Overcome with grief, Kaizaren tries to kill himself, but is captured by V.V. and put into stasis in the Thought Elevators.
    • To ensure he can't be used in such a foul purpose, Kaizaren uses his Geass on himself, erasing his own memory.
• With Kaizaren's supposed death, his knight Nonette demands justice from Emperor Charles. Instead, she's demoted.
  • However, Nonette refuses to let this shame stop her quest to find truth and justice for Kaizaren von Britannia, so works her way back up into becoming the Knight of Nine.

2011-2017

• Orpheus Zeviron helps a young Euliya Britannia escape the Geass order, even falling in love with her. However, Pluton intercepts them, burns down the village, and kills Euliya.
  • However, soon after this, seeing the burning hatred in his nephew's eyes, Oigaros abandons his order, and becomes the masked Wizard. Forming the intelligence organization Peace Mark to help resist Britannia's expansion.
    • Orpheus would even be recruited in to give him some purpose.
• Meanwhile, determined to prevent the same kind of tragedies her mother suffered, Oldrin joins the counterterrorism branch of Britannia, growing ever more skilled, and even becoming "close" with princess Marrybell.
  • Little did they know that V.V. and Charles placed the Zeviron maid Toto as a mole to keep the siblings forever separated for their own machinations. Giving Toto a Geass of Absolute Memory loss to wipe any memory of them meeting from their minds.
• Charles and V.V. continue to expand and strengthen The Geass order to experiment with different ways of using Geass and the powers behind it.
  • In one experiment, Charles tries creating a clone with the dna of both C.C. and Marianne. However, while the clone does grow into a fully functioning adult body, this being posses neither the memories nor the powers of either host. As such, it's declared a failure, and it later escapes to join Orpheus in Peace Mark. Lacking ANY identity, it just calls itself Miss X.
  • A more successful trial was when the 2 kidnapped children of tragedies and experimented on them with the help of General Madd. Trying to give them some of Marianne's skills in battle. Candidates include Alice, Rolo, Dalque, Sancia, Lucretia and Clara.
    • These poor souls become a kind of sibling family united in their suffering and frustration at being used like this. While none could escape, all depended on each other for hope.

Rebirth of the Rebellion

August 2017 a.t.b. - The First Engagements

• A small terrorist group steals a supposed shipment of poison gas from Britannia, resulting in a chase that ends in the Shinjuku ghetto. To avoid the actual contents (C.C.) being exposed, Viceroy Clovis orders the entire ghetto population be exterminated.
  • Lelouch Lamperouge, accidentally caught up in the chase, encounters C.C. and forms a contract with her.
• Unable to stand by any longer after years of observation, Arcee, Cliffjumper, and Bumblebee enter in to protect the innocent during the massacre. The rest of the Autobots become involved as well, and under Lelouch's secret coordination, the Japanese and Autobots devastate the Britannian forces. The tide is only turned when Suzaku Kururugi, piloting the prototype frame Lancelot, is sent in to disable the terrorist Knightmares. Bumblebee is forced to expose himself to fight off the 7th-gen Frame.
  • In the midst of all this, Lelouch confronts and interrogates the Viceroy, gets him to halt the Britannian advance, and kills him.
• Lelouch links up with the Autobots, forming an alliance to face all the injustices and evils of this planet. While still coming around to thinking of them as more than assets, Lelouch is assigned Bumblebee as his guardian while he wrestles with all that he's received.
• Stopping Suzaku's execution convoy, Zero and Optimus reveal themselves to the world, leaving a stamp for Japan to rally behind and find hope again.
  • The Kozuki resistance cell, impressed and surprised by the effectiveness of this rescue, join up as the first members of the Black Knights.
• The amnesiac Kaizaren escapes from the Elevator and Code R, finding his way to Ashford Academy. He's adopted by the Student Council and takes the name Rai.
• Dreadwing acquaints himself with Suzaku and Euphemia vi Britannia after a mishap with the Purebloods.
• After accidentally getting his mask stolen by a cat whom the Student Council adopts and names Arthur, Soundwave discovers the connection between Lelouch and Zero. But, wanting to hold onto this information until ideal, Megatron keeps this secret close to his chest.

Building Respect

• Cornelia li Britannia is called in alongside her sister Euphemia to clamp down on the Black Rebellion. Using a series of strikes, she moves her way towards attacking Saitama in a manner similar to Clovis’ attack on Shinjuku, but this time, The alliance evacuates the ghetto in preparation.
  • In the following battle, the Knight/Bot alliance seems to be winning easily, only to then nearly fall into a False Flag Operation in reverse by Cornelia. Optimus manages to see through this, but Lelouch is almost captured.
    • However, then Optimus challenges Cornelia to a duel with a wager: If he wins, she will never have civilian casualties in her operations again. If she wins, he'll tell a secret about Zero. The duel was a great spectacle, but with centuries of experience, Optimus disables Cornelia, showing the resistance groups that even The Goddess of Victory is no match for the leader of the Autobots.
• The Autobots and Black Knights make a move on a hostage crisis carried out by rogue JLF agents (secretly manipulated by Starscream). With this open act of heroism, their moniker of knights for peace and justice is stamped.
• The Autobots next use a lull in strategic planning to work to shut down local crime to build respect amongst Japan.
  • On a raid on a Refrain compound, Lelouch finds out more about Kallen's home life, and gives her a new home away from her stepmother as a way to show compassion for his teammate. This cements Kallen's loyalty to Zero, regardless of who he might be.
  • Following the raid, Lelouch accidentally unmasks himself to Rai, who asks to join the Black Knights.

Creating a team

• Accidentally bringing a Scraplet trap back to the Ark, the Black Knights and Autobots work together to save the base and some teammates who got stuck in the artic. This creates a better bond between the group, and a newfound respect for Zero's willingness to put himself at risk for his team.
• Airachnid returns to Earth, attacking Arcee and Kallen. Working with their surroundings, they blow up her ship but fail to kill her.
• Going after an Energon harvester, Rai discovers he has a secret talent for Knightmare combat. As such, he's moved into a combat position.
• Wheeljack arrives to Earth. Ambushed by the Cons, the shifter Makeshift impersonates Jackie to try and groundbridge the Cons for their final victory. Thankfully, Bulkhead and Lelouch recognize the Con Job being done, and with Wheeljack's own dramatic escape, Makeshift is destroyed and Wheeljack joins up.

The Battle of Narita

• After receiving new Knightmares from Kyoto House, the Autobots and Black Knights battle Cornelia’s forces in Narita to prevent the destruction of the Japan Liberation Front. Wiping out a vast majority of Cornelia’s army with a landslide, the alliance nearly capture Cornelia herself, but the arrival of the Decepticons turns the tide, forcing a retreat. However, the operation is still a success as a vast majority of the JLF and their leadership were able to evacuate.
  • In the aftermath of the battle, the Decepticons induct Suzaku into their ranks, Charles puts Megatron in charge of all of Area 11's military operations, and Shockwave, having recently returned to the Decepticons, learns about Code-R after capturing several scientists in Narita along with Jeremiah Gottwald. One of the scientists is Joseph Fenette, the father of Lelouch's classmate Shirley. With only his lab coat found by Britannian military, Joseph is declared deceased, devastating Shirley and causing problems for Lelouch.
  • During the fight, C.C., Lelouch and Bumblebee accidentally merge minds. In the recovery from the backlash, C.C. finally reveals that her real name is Cera, beginning the long process of Defrosting the Ice Queen.
• Kallen is given the privilege of knowing Zero's secret.

The Battle at Port Yokosuka

• Optimus Prime and Zero, along with Ohgi, Tamaki, Rai and Kallen, meet with Taizo Kirihara and Kaguya Sumeragi of Kyoto House to gain their support. During the meeting, Zero unmasks himself, revealing himself to Ohgi and Tamaki as a Britannian.
• The Autobots and Black Knights manage to evacuate the Japan Liberation Front to the Ark, setting up a trap for the Decepticon and Britannian forces. In the ensuing conflict, Edgar and David Darlton are killed in battle, leaving Guilford and Darlton the last of the Glaston Knights.
  • During the skirmish, Zero is knocked unconscious, revealing his identity to Shirley and Viletta. Viletta is rendered unconscious by Bumblebee, while Shirley escapes.
  • After the battle ends, Ohgi, Tamaki and Ratchet find an unconscious and amnesiac Villetta and bring her to the Ark, with Ohgi volunteering to look after her.

Saving Friends

• Mao captures Shirley, holding her hostage to lure Lelouch in. Reactivating his Geass, Rai forces Mao to release her, leaving Bumblebee to scare him off. Shirley is told everything by Lelouch and Rai, and later on joins the Black Knights.
• With Mao making another request to C.C. to return to him, C.C. thinks it's finally time to leave the Black Knight fold. However, playing on his knowledge of Mao's psycology, Lelouch outmanuvers him, and gets him temporarily killed.
  • Grateful and humbled by the care shown to her, C.C./Cera agrees to stay again, and shares the identity of V.V.: Victor zi Britannia.
• Kallen, Arcee, Rai and Bulkhead secure a magnetic weapon, the Polarity Gauntlet, from Suzaku and Breakdown. Airachnid, who attempts to claim the Gauntlet for herself, is brought back into the Decepticon fold. This creates problems for Suzaku, who wants her to answer for her actions of slaughtering innocent people in Shinjuku the ghettos.
• Realizing how outmatched she is, Cornelia puts in a request to her father to have assistance from the Knights of the Round. Charles grants the request, sending Gino, Anya, Nonette and Monica to Area 11.
  • In addition, Nonette is given the task of finding Kaizaren and bringing him back to Pendragon. She seemingly accepts it, but intends on protecting him from the Emperor.
• The Seekers and Airachnid are sent to Australia to secure a weapon called the Immobilizer and are accompanied by Cornelia and the Knights of the Round. During the mission, Airachnid leaves Starscream and Cornelia to be captured by the Autobots and Black Knights, and uses the Immobilizer herself on her allies and enemies in an attempt to claim the success for herself. Bumblebee succeeds in defeating Airachnid and gets the Immobilizer for the alliance.
  • Taking advantage of Cornelia being his temporary prisoner, Lelouch uses his Geass on her to get information on all of Britannia’s operations in Area 11. He also learns what she knows about Marianne’s murder, and that she would willingly join him and the Autobots to protect him and Nunnally. Lelouch chooses to erase her memories of their meeting in order to protect her and Euphemia.
• Mao attacks a third time, kidnapping Nunnally. Working together, Lelouch, Rai, Suzaku and Shirley outmaneuver him. Afterwards, Megatron sentences Mao to get experimented on by Shockwave.
  • Due to Mao reading Suzaku's mind, Lelouch and Rai learn the truth of Genbu Kururugi's murder, and tells the other Autobots, Kallen, and Shirley, with Kaguya confirming it.
• Going after a data cylinder, Shirley accidentally sends the data into Bulkhead. They then discover the information is for Synthetic Energon, but the Autobots learn that finishing the formula will destroy Bulkhead's mind. Thankfully, they manage to preserve Bulkhead's mind, but the formula is only partially completed.
  • Following this, during an Energon crisis for the Black Knights, Rachet injects the Synthetic Energon into himself for transformers testing. While it does increase his abilities, it also makes him aggressive and angry. After accidentally getting wounded on a failed attack on Megatron, the Autobots rescue him and take on a new supply of Energon in the process.
    • Unfortunately, the Synthetic Energon also falls into Decepticon hands.
• Finding out Tohdoh is captured and scheduled for execution, The Black Knights stage a prison break with the Four Holy Swords to save him.
  • During the prison break, Soundwave, acting on Megatron's orders, broadcasts the Autobots and Black Knights fighting the Decepticons and Knights of the Round so Megatron, who is growing more suspicious of Charles' possible involvement in Code-R, can get a reaction out of Charles.
  • In the ensuing conflict Arcee slices open the Lancelot’s cockpit, revealing Suzaku as the Lancelot’s pilot to Area 11’s population. In the fallout, Euphemia chooses Suzaku as her personal knight in hopes of keeping him away from the Decepticons.

Conflict on Shikinine Island and its Aftermath

• Following Tohdoh’s rescue, the Autobots and Black Knights reorganize their ranks into different squadrons. Zero also chooses to fully reveal himself as former Britannian prince Lelouch to those in leadership not yet aware of his true identity.
• The Autobots and Black Knights launch an assault on a Britannian military base on Shikine Island, with the intent of persuading Suzaku to join their ranks. Immobilizing the Lancelot with Gefjun Disturbers, Zero nearly manages to convince Suzaku to join, but the sudden appearance of Second Prince Schneizel el Britannia in the Avalon causes Suzaku to keep Zero at bay for a missile bombardment. In order to save himself and Suzaku from being killed, Lelouch is forced to use his Geass on Suzaku, telling him to “Live.” Zero and Suzaku, along with Optimus, Bumblebee, Kallen, Rai, Euphemia, Dreadwing, and Nonette suddenly vanish, with V.V. being responsible, using the Thought Elevator on Kamine Island.
• Zero, Optimus, Kallen, Suzaku, Dreadwing, Euphemia, Nonette, and Rai all find themselves trapped on Kamine Island. The opposing sides are forced to team-up against an infestation of rogue Insecticons, before stumbling upon a Britannian/Decepticon survey crew inspecting a Thought Elevator. The Black Knight/Autobot forces commandeer an experimental Knightmare Frame and escape, with Optimus destroying the Thought Elevator.
  • During this time, V.V. approached Megatron in the hopes of coercing him into helping him find C.C. Instead, Megatron captures him and brings him to the Nemesis to learn more about Geass.
  • Optimus tells Euphemia and Lelouch about how the Cybertronian War began. Now learning the true colors of Megatron, Euphemia vows to help the Autobots and Black Knights. Lelouch gives Euphemia a secret phone for private and emergency conversations.
  • Confronting Suzaku over disobeying Starscream's orders while under the influence of Zero’s Geass, Megatron interrogates him with the Cortical Psychic Patch, learning the truth of Genbu Kururugi’s death and (seemingly) of Lelouch and Nunnally's survival. Megatron blackmails Suzaku in staying with the Decepticons, threatening Lelouch and Nunnally. Out of guilt, Suzaku chooses to resign as Euphemia’s knight.
• After returning, the Thought Elevator restores Rai's memories of being Kaizaren.
  • Lelouch also confesses to Nunnally about being Zero (something she'd already determined), and his work with the Autobots.
• A Chinese-backed invasion of Kyushu occurs, with Britannian forces sent to repel it. At the climax of the conflict, the Black Knights and Autobots unexpectedly arrive on Britannia's behalf and and turn the tide against the invaders.
  • Following the Kyushu affair, Euphemia tells Suzaku and Dreadwing what she learned about Cybertron’s destruction from Optimus on Kamine Island. She convinces them to join her in making a better world, even if it means working with Zero and Optimus Prime, and Suzaku returns to being Euphemia’s knight.
  • In order to keep Megatron from suspecting anything about Ragnarok, Charles sends the remaining Knights of the Round, Bismarck, Dorothea and Luciano, to Area 11 with additional forces.
• Megatron gives himself a Dark Energon-infused Geass power, a Dark Geass.

The Fall of Britannia

Rise of the SAZ

• Ashford Academy celebrates the Spring Festival.
  • Milly reveals to Lelouch that she knows about him being Zero.
  • The Lamperouge's make plans to move to the Ark immediately after the Festival ends.
  • Euphemia declares the formation of the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, a place where Elevens would actually be treated as Japanese citizens again. She hopes to openly strike an alliance between Britannia and the Black Knights/Autobots against Megatron.

The SAZ Massacre

• Beginning his preparations for a False Flag Operation, Megatron captures Euphemia in order to replace her with a "Pretender" shapeshifter.
• On the big day, the Pretender opens fire on the crowd, quickly joined by most of the Britannian forces stationed there. The Black Knights and Autobots intervene to save as many civilians as possible, destroying the Pretender in the process.
• On exposing Megatron's dark intentions and exposing their own incongruities, Suzaku and Dreadwing are taken into the fold, though with security measures to ensure they don't run away or turn traitor.
  • Learning the truth of the massacre herself, as well as Zero's true identity, Cornelia attempts to fight Megatron herself. She is captured and brought to Kamine Island, where Airachnid is holding Euphemia captive.
• Zero sends an ultimatum to Britannia to leave Japan or be destroyed.
  • Playing along partially, Prince Schneizel evacuates Britannian civilians, but keeps the military there along with all the Knights of the Round for their definitive battle against the alliance.

The Collapse of the Empire

• Sending a false message to collect the remaining royal family in one space, Megatron launches his invasion of the mainland.
  • Starscream and the Seekers lead the main assault, with Starcream killing the former Knight of Two, Beatrice Franks.
    • They then capture most of the main princes and princesses.
  • Soundwave leads the stealth operation, using all his Mini-cons to capture Project Ragnarok and the Geass Order.
  • Megatron personally challenges Charles (piloting a Knightmare specifically designed to fight Megatron) to single combat and bests him. He then shows Charles his Dark Geass, revealing that despite his bluster, Charles fears his family rejecting him most. Then, Megatron shows him the Nemesis obliterating the palace and reveals his turncoat brother. And having finally broken him as well, Megatron executes the Emperor, bringing an end to the Holy Britannian Empire as a political entity.

The Fighting Retreat

• The Autobots and Black Knights successfully defeat the Britannian forces in Tokyo.
  • Deciding she would rather fulfill her old duties compared to her new oaths, Nonette defects and fights alongside Rai against Dorothea, Knock Out and Breakdown.
    • In a pitched battle, Rai kills Breakdown.
  • Seriously wounded by Luciano, Cliffjumper pushes the Percival into an electric generator, killing himself and the Vampire of Britannia.
• The Insecticons led by Hardshell, take Milly, Nina and Rivalz hostage.
  • In response, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Monica, Cecile, Shirley and Lloyd join together to destroy the three Insecticons.
• Megatron announces his conquest worldwide, before sending reinforcements to conquer Tokyo. Most of the surviving Britannian forces are wiped out, and the Alliance retreats.
  • Darlton is killed by an Insecticon and Guilford is captured by the Decepticons.
  • Bismarck, Gino, Anya, and Dorothea escape the Tokyo Settlement with the intent of forming a Britannian resistance against the Decepticons.
• After using their secret phone to track their location, Suzaku and Dreadwing rescue Cornelia and Euphemia, though to ensure the destruction of the Insecticon hive, Dreadwing sacrifices himself.
• Suzaku, Lelouch and C.C. are transported to an area at the capitol for a battle with Megatron personally. Unfortunately, the Gladiator of Kaon is too strong for even both of them. To further demonstrate his power, Megatron Dark Geasses both C.C. and Lelouch. Cera just dies and comes back, but Lelouch is trapped in his mind in agony.
  • The Autobots evacuate the humans, and Optimus even manages to fight off the Dark Geass with assistance from the Primes and the Matrix of Leadership.

The Last Actions

• Entering Lelouch's mind, using the Matrix of Leadership, Optimus, Cera and Nunnally manage to disperse the Dark Geass' power, saving Lelouch's life, and giving Nunnally her sight back.
• With the understanding of the last dark day and their new perspectives, Cornelia, Euphemia, Monica, Nonette, Lloyd and Cecile are officially welcomed into the Autobots and the Black Knights. Chigusa and the Ashford Trio are also taken in under evaluation due to their current lack of regular war skills.
• Deciding that Megatron's Dark Geass is an advantage they have to overcome, Cera and Optimus decide to contract a Geass.
  • Pulled into the Matrix by the Primes, they reveal to Cera that they believe Geass have their origins in Unicron. Though with the wisdom of Prima and Alpha Trion, they recognize that the power itself doesn't have to be evil. Pushing Cera a little, they hear her new desire: not to die, but to ensure that she'll never be alone again.
    • Compassionate and satisfied by her answer, the Primes agree to help grant Optimus a Geass, but in return, they form a Contract with Cera as well. In exchange for the power, Cera must swear herself to the cause of Freedom and Justice and do everything in her power to defeat Megatron.
    • Agreeing, Cera grants Optimus the Prime Geass of Absolute Conviction. Cleansed of Unicron's corrupting influence, this Geass influences individuals to rise to their best selves. The perfect weapon for a Hope Bringer like Optimus Prime.
• Megatron sends out a signal to the universe, calling on all Decepticons to regroup on Earth and finish their war once and for all.
  • However, using Nina's own genius, the Autobots piggyback that signal as well, using it to call all remaining Autobots to help as well.

The 6 months regroup

• The main remnants of Britannia launch an assault on their former capitol. However, Megatron's galactic signal has called in several of the Decepticons' most powerful warriors. Namely, the two combiner teams, the Constructicons and the Combaticons.
  • As such, the armies are torn apart, and much of the potential resistance is destroyed. Dorothea, Bismarck, and Cornelia & Euphemia's mother are all killed, while Gino and Anya are captured.
  • Marrybell mel Britannia is the only member of the Imperial Family to escape the Decepticon Uprising without joining the Black Knights, leaving to Euro-Britannia with the Glinda Knights.
• Realizing there are untapped assets in the downed Harbinger still, the Autobots loot the ship for materials for the war. As part of their efforts, they discover a secret laboratory with 5 protoforms ready for use. In a stroke of creativity, the science division turn them into the first truly transforming Knightmares.
• The science team fits Nunnally with metallic braces, working to repair her legs so she might walk unassisted in the future.
• The Autobot-Black Knights decide to expand to include the intelligence agency Peace Mark to ensure good information going into the next part of the war.
  • As a security measure, They figure out that the Wizard is none other than Oigaios Zeviron, though they keep this to themselves.
• Lelouch begins to undergo Knightmare training, because if he's going to beat Megatron, he'll need to be able to take him hand to hand eventually.
• As a step to rise from their past, Cornelia and Euphemia personally renounce their claim to the throne of Britannia.
• Chigusa has a sudden break through, recovering all her lost memories. However, understanding just how happy she'd become as an aid to the Black Knights, she renounces her old identity as Viletta, but now has the Knightmare skills to join the Black Knights in the field.
• At an undetermined time, Milly, Rivalz, Shirley and Nina got stuck in what they dubbed The Shadowzone in the Ark. A shadowy location caused by having two Groundbridges accidentally cross paths. Thankfully, since they were in the base, they were able to return thanks to the scientists, but Cera secretly files this oddity away as something that might be useful in the future.
• With an incentive to create new superweapons to advance the Deception Cause, Shockwave gives the go ahead for 4 special projects that would shape the course of the war to come.
  • Project Damocles: A project proposed by Schniezel and Starscream that would be a floating fortress to rain death upon their enemies. While undoubtedly having their own motives, Shockwave gives the Constructicons the go ahead to lead the building of this fortress.
  • Project Predacon: using old fossils from Cybertron to revive the ancient Predacon race as war beasts.
  • There's also a project to recreate the old Rust Plague that so devastated the Cybertronian progress.
  • But beneath all this is a highly classified project commissioned by Megatron: Project Neo-Ragnarök. Using the research of Geass and the many mysterious powers connected to it, they will use two codes to activate it, and project Dark Energon into Cybertron via a space bridge. And with this connection between all sentient species through the use of the space bridge and geass, Megatron will then take control of all sentient beings to live as a god who will control all free will and end the war and conflict forever. While this would be a fundamental betrayal of his army, Shockwave sees the logic in creating such a world, and begins building an artificial thought elevator.

Building The Grand Alliance

Return of the Black Knights

• After six months of absence, the Alliance strikes at the Energon mines under Mt. Fuji, freeing the prisoners and leveling the mountain itself.
• Following the return of the Alliance, Soundwave begins decoding the Iacon database to locate numerous ancient weapons and relics.
  • The first of these relics is the Spark Extractor, which Suzaku manages to swipe from Megatron.
  • Next is the Forge of Solus Prime, an ancient relic capable of creating any device from raw material. Despite the Alliance's best efforts, the Decepticons manage to acquire the Forge. Fortunately, as the Forge can only work when held by a Prime, it is useless to the Decepticons.
    • During the fight for the Forge, the Decepticons unveil the Dark Knights, which consist of captured members of the Britannian military, including Gino Weinberg and Anya Alstreim.
  • At the same time the Alliance and the Decepticons fight for the Forge, the Wreckers, Aerialbots and Black Dragon Unit battle Squadron X, the Combaticons, and the Seekers for an experimental shield generator, and to rescue slaves from Mt. Ontake. The Alliance succeed in getting the shield generator, but during the fight, Yoshida, one of the original Black Knights, is unexpectedly killed. The Alliance also discover a deposit of Dark Energon.
  • While the Alliance go on missions to acquire the Forge and shield generator, a separate group travel to the Oyama Forest in an attempt to settle issues between Kallen and Suzaku. Though the mission becomes an unexpected battle against Steeljaw and his Pack consisting of Airachnid and Thunderhoof, they manage to fight off the Pack, and Kallen and Suzaku settle their differences.
• During some "downtime", Nunnally tells Miss X that she needs to start forming an identity of her own. And so, she's given a proper name: Misty Ix.

The First Strikeback

• Megatron unleashes the Terrorcons for the first time, alongside his Dark Pawns. Most disturbingly of all is that he chose to use Marianne's corpse as the engine for his Dark Queen.
  • During the battle he also unveils the Headmasters, some of the Geass Order's top agents piloting unique Knightmares created by Shockwave. The Autobots and Black Knights disable one of the Knightmares in the ensuing conflict, and bring the pilot, Alice, to the Ark with them.
• Finally locating the Ark, Megatron launches his assault on it. Thankfully, using the shield generator technology, the Ark is protected from the main laser, but then a great battle ensues under the sea.
  • In the ensuing conflict, the alliance kills several high-ranking Decepticons, including Skywarp and Frenzy, and Gino is rescued by Bumblebee and Rai, joining the alliance.
  • The battle ends when the Ark launches, using the magma underneath for ignition. As the Autobots and Black Knights escape to Horai Island, the Ark cripples the Nemesis, causing the Decepticon vessel to sink to the ocean.

Building Alliances

• In the aftermath of the Ark's escape, multiple resistance groups pop up, forcing the Decepticons to spread out. Using this to their advantage, the Autobots and Black Knights send separate teams to the EU, Euro-Britannia and the Chinese Federation in order to forge an alliance against the Decepticons.
• Leading a small team to the EU, Zero and Ultra Magnus make contact with Leila Malcal and Gene Smilas, while Euphemia reaches out to Grand Duke Velaines in Euro-Britannia.
  • During the meeting with Smilas and Leila, a trio of young Japanese terrorists named Ryo, Ayano, and Yukiya attack their convoy in an attempt to kidnap Smilas as ransom for advanced Knightmares against the Decepticons. Recognizing their desire to have a home of their own, Leila offers them a place in her wZERO unit as pilots.
• Led by Steeljaw, The Decepticons offer their aid to Euro-Britannia fighting the EU as a way to get in their good graces.
  • During this Shin Hyuga Shaing becomes the new head of the Order of St. Michael after using Geass to make the previous head, Michele Manfredi, commit suicide.
• Approaching the High Eunuchs, Schneizel and Starscream begin negotiating an alliance with the Chinese Federation. Xingke, Kaguya, and Sayoko secretly work to stall negotiations with the High Eunuch Gao Hai, who is under control of Zero's Geass.

The Second Decepticon Offensive

• The Autobots and Black Knights' first battle alongside the EU and wZERO takes place at the city of Slonim, where they come in contact with Steeljaw's Pack, the Order of Michael, and Marrybell's Glinda Knights. The battle ends with Slonim falling under the EU's control.
  • In the midst of the ensuing battle, the Autobots and Black Knights learn of Shin Hyuga Shaing being Akito's brother, possessing a Geass of his own. Akito is also revealed to be under the influence of Shin's Geass, going into berserk rages whenever in battle. The shared mental link between the Alexander Knightmares also cause Ryo, Ayano, and Yukiya to be affected by Shin's Geass as well.
• Taking a brief break around Warsaw, there's some bonding and character work as the youngest Black Knights begin looking to handle their pasts and grow their futures.
• Deciding that after the initial skirmish with the EU didn't give great prospect, Steeljaw forms an alliance with Shin, and unleashes a Coup D'Eat on the entire nation of Euro-Britannia. With Arachnid killing the parliament, and Shin taking the military hostage alongside the Decepticons, Euro-Britannia becomes a hostage nation. Using his Geass, Shin brainwashes Marrybell, Gaudefroy and Raymond to fight for him.
• A squad of Red Pawns, Dark Knights and Headmasters led by Shockwave look for Grimlock, with Nebiros incapacitating him. A team of Black Knights and Autobots led by Optimus attack Shockwave's squad, with Hot Shot shooting Grimlock in the face to wake him up. The result is Grimlock killing Nebiros and mopping the floor with Shockwave's team before Optimus pacifies the Dinobot and welcomes him to the Alliance.
  • Amidst the chaos from Grimlock's arrival, Anya passes a secret message to Nonette which reads "Look toward the stars as we have done".
• The Decepticons commandeer the Britannian ship the Gallia Grande, which the Autobots and Black Knights attack with wZERO. Gaudefroy and Reymond are killed in the ensuing battle, but Marrybell is freed from Shin's control by Cera, who also removes Shin's Geass influence from Akito. Remembering the truth of her mother and sister's death, and learning Lelouch is Zero, Marrybell agrees to join the Autobots and Black Knights. Suddenly, the Gallia Grande explodes, revealed to be a trap set up by Shin and Steeljaw, who locate Castle Weisswolf and prepare an assault on it, while using a new satellite overhead to prevent Groundbridges from opening at the castle.
  • Leila, The Ashford group and Nunnally meet with Shin and Steeljaw to negotiate terms of surrender after being persuaded to do so by Claus, who is revealed as a double-agent for Euro-Britannia. However, Lelouch and the rest of his team are revealed to have survived the Gallia Grande's explosion, having anticipated it as a trap and convincing Claus to sever his ties with Euro-Britannia.
  • Escaping the Decepticons, Lelouch's team prepares for the next battle while Euphemia meets with Duke Velaines and Andrea Farnese, leading the combined Euro-Britannian and EU forces against the occupying Decepticon forces, aided by the Glinda Knights and Asura Strike Force.
• Leila and Lelouch learn from their Peace Mark connections that the former's parents were killed by Gene Smilas as he believed their stances would leave the EU defenseless against Britannia. Confronting Smilas and realizing he can't be reasoned with, Zero uses his Geass on him to ensure his cooperation.
• As the Autobots, Black Knights and wZERO prepare for their final battle at Castle Weisswolf, Lelouch, Marrybell, Cera, Rai, Orpheus, Leila, and Optimus are brought to a place where time and space do not exist. Meeting the Caretaker of Spacetime and Vector Prime, they learn the origins of Geass and its connections to Unicron, along with the Decepticons' anti-Groundbridge satellites. After waking up, Lelouch uses what he's learned about the satellites to form a plan.
• Sending Nina into space in a Knightmare using Apollo's Chariot, the Autobots manage to hack into the satellite and place a virus in it, allowing them to evacuate Castle Weisswolf of all non-combatants while convincing the Decepticons that it's still active.
• During the battle Arcee and Kallen engage in a final clash with Airachnid, ending when Kallen destroys her with the Radiant Wave Surger. Quillfire is also killed by Rai.
  • Shirley confronts Jean and talks her into turning on Shin, telling her that if she truly loves Shin she'll convince him to not commit genocide. Jean's attempts to convince Shin are all for naught as he attempts to kill her.
  • Shin's soldiers break into the castle in an attempt to capture Leila, only to find the entire castle is empty. Safe on Horai Island, Leila activates explosives hidden all over the castle, destroying it and burying Steeljaw's Pack and Shin alive while the Autobots, Black Knights and wZERO escape with Jean.

The Chinese Federation

• Negotiating with the Decepticons, the High Eunuchs plan to wed the Empress to Schneizel in order to bring the Chinese Federation into the Decepticon Empire without causing any conflict. With Gao Hai slowly being suspected, Xingke kills him, claiming him to be a traitor in order to throw Schneizel and Starscream off the trail.
• As the Autobot-Black Knight forces on Horai Island prepare to help their friends in the Forbidden City, their attention is soon diverted to Grimlock's signal being detected by T-AI in the Sahara Desert, which Shockwave also detects and goes after with V.V. and the Geass Order. Found in the desert, Grimlock goes on a rampage and crushes all of Shockwave's forces, killing Castor, Pollux, and Rolo/Nebiros in the ensuing conflict. After Shockwave and V.V. retreat, Optimus convinces Grimlock to help them fight the Decepticons, with Grimlock agreeing on the condition they help him find the rest of his team.
• The night before Schneizel and Tianzi's wedding, Optimus Prime meets with Schneizel via hologram for a chess match. However, the match serves as a distraction that allows Optimus to send a secret message to Kaguya and Xingke. Once the message is received, Optimus self-destructs the drone projecting his hologram.
• On the day of the wedding, the Autobots and Black Knights attack the City with Xingke's forces, rescuing Tianzi from Starscream and the High Eunuchs, rendezvousing at the Mausoleum of the 88 Emperors.
• The Decepticons and Chinese forces led by the High Eunuchs attack the Mausoleum, supposedly having the advantage in numbers. During the fight, Wizard contacts the Eunuchs, who ridicule and insult their people while confessing to having orchestrated the death of Tianzi's parents.
• When it seems the Decepticons are winning, Grimlock arrives with reinforcements, having been put in place beforehand. As the tide turns back in favor of the Autobots and Black Knights, Wizard broadcasts his talk with the Eunuchs all over the Chinese Federation, causing street riots to break out all over the country. Realizing the Eunuchs have lost the people's support, Schneizel and Starscream pull back the Decepticon forces, leaving the Eunuchs and their forces to be wiped out, with Xingke killing the Eunuchs personally.

The United Federation of Nations

• Having liberated Euro-Britannia, the EU, and the Chinese Federation from the Decepticons, the Autobots and Black Knights begin forming their charter in the United Federation of Nations.
  • As a peaceful gesture of trust, Lelouch and Windblade give Tianzi a ride in an airplane and a connection of trust to encourage her to be a better leader for her nation in the days to come.
• As part of their new charter, the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance create new teams: The Crimson Knights, comprised of the Glinda Knights, Asura Strike Force, and Jean, and the Black Wyverns, which mostly consist of the wZERO unit with Gino Weinberg while Xingke and his soldiers join the Black Dragon Unit.
  • With all the new recruits, Orpheus and Oldrin Zeviron reunite. While a touch awkward, they resolve to become the family they lost together with each other.
    • For her part, with everything changed, Toto takes no action on them seeing each other again.

The Iacon Relic Hunt

The beginning

• Megatron's impatience has him use Dark Energon to finish repairing the Nemesis. Seeing it rise, the alliance tries to attack and cripple the Decepticons using The Spark Extractor. Unfortunately, the ship reveals hidden stasis beams which devastates the attackers and forces a retreat.
  • It turns out the Dark Energon restored the consciousness of Trypticon, whom the Nemesis was built out of. Outraged at this betrayal of having his corpse turned into a ship, Trypticon also disables all cons aboard, going off to find Iacon Relics to try and restore his T-Cog.
  • Realizing that only organics would manage to hide from Trypticon's sensors, Lelouch leads a strike team of himself, Kallen, Rai, Xing Ke, Todoh, Cera and T-AI to infiltrate and disable him.
  • Realizing he's also going after relics, T-AI begins copying the data for their own use, while using Cyber warfare to try and stall Trypticon during the battles in the physical world.
  • Barely managing to get the Dark Energon out of its system, Trypticon is rendered inoperable again, and the Black Knights escape, now ready to race the Decepticons to the eight relic sites.

Subterranean Rescue

• Smokescreen, Arcee, and Bumblebee are sent with the Ashford gang to investigate the subways and catacombs of Paris as the Beta team. Determined to do her part in the war, Nunnally is also a last-minute addition alongside Sayoko.
• They end up in conflict with Knock Out, who has Jeremiah and Springload along with the Vehicons also excavating the relic.
  • In the course of the work, Jeremiah reveals that Joseph Fenette restored his free will, and in a show of strength and humility, he submits himself to Nunnally's graces for a chance to redeem himself for failing her mother.
  • Working together, the Autobots destroy Springload on a 3rd rail, and Smokescreen discovers the relic is a Phase Shifter, which they use to help drive Knock Out off.
  • Jeremiah reveals that he's gone dark to hide from Shockwave, and offers his inside information to lead a raid of the thought elevators to rescue the captured scientists. Deciding he seems genuine, the Autobots leave with him, scoring decisive victories for the relic and a defector.

The Dance of Metal and Ice

• Optimus and Zero lead Alpha team to Antarctica. However, the Seekers intercept them. The Decepticons end up stealing the relic, The Apex Armor first, though as a trade off, Lelouch gets some information from Starscream.

The E.U's Next Dance

• Leila leads the Black Wyvern unit to Egypt to hunt a relic, where they come across Steeljaw's Pack and a cyborg Shin Hyuga Shang, armed with a Dark Geass. Despite the tough battle, the Autobots manage to acquire the relic, The Enigma of Combination: A relic of the combiner prime that that causes the Black Wyvern Knightmares to combine into the new Hercules mech.

A Combiner's Challenge

• The Black Dragons and Aerialbots fight the Combaticons for a crystal of Red Energon: A substance said to give Cybertronians Super-Speed. The battle is hard fought, and several members die in the process. In order to stop the Decepticons from keeping all the energon, Urabe pulls a Heroic Sacrifice. Though the majority of the energon is lost, the bits in the combiners are extracted for a small dose of 1 or 2 uses for the future.

A family "Reunion"

• The Elite Guard, led by Ultra Magnus, enters the Outback. Their squad opponent? Schneizel. With his genius use of the Insecticons, the guard is forced to retreat, with Cornelia and Chigusa both captured for "interrogation".
• Realizing they have no choice but to proceed, Ultra Magnus, Guilford, Monica, Prowl and Jazz make their way to the relic, revealed to be the Skyboom Shield, a Prime artifact which is an unbreakable defensive weapon.
  • Meanwhile, on his ship, Schneizel has a chat with the prisoners, talking through why he turned on the nation, and that he has secret designs to overthrow Megatron for himself. Though he talks nicely, Cornelia's own fiery temper and suspicions of his motives leads them to reject any idea to even form a secret alliance with him.
• Splitting up, the guard manages to defeat or at least draw all their opponents, eventually securing the Skyboom in their hands.
  • Meanwhile, Cornelia breaks free and frees her teammate. Then, as Chigusa brings down the engines, Cornelia tries to capture Schneizel. Unfortunately, he apparently was ready for this possibility and escapes. The Avalon crashes though Cornelia and Chigusa survive in the emergency room, and make plans to refit the ship for their own usage.

The Chernobyl Conflict

• Zeta Team (Alice, Grimlock and Cera) end up in conflict with Shockwave and the Geass order. While doing alright for the most part, Grimlock's own rage throws the battlefield into chaos, with Alice and Cera eventually having to drag him from the field.
  • Shockwave retrieves the relic, which turns out to be the ancient Cybertronian creature simply called The Driller: A snake-like creature that's even more powerful than Grimlock.
  • As such, Zeta Team is unable to defeat the Decepticons or bring in more order members. But as a consolation prize, Cera kills Mao for good.

Red Triage, Dead Secrets

• Sigma Team fights Soundwave and the Constructicons for what turns out to be Soundwave's Resonance Blaster. In the inital skirmish, the Granberry is wrecked, but the team also takes down Laserbeak.
  • Inspired by Ashley's suggestions, Rachet, Nina and Toto work together to give Laserbeak a Trojan Horse virus to steal the remainder of the Iacon Database while Soundwave is working on it.
  • Meanwhile, the rest of the knights fight the constructicons and Soundwave. They use several tricks to deal with them, including a massive attack to seperate Devastator. However, Tink is killed in the explosions, and Soundwave uses the relic Resonance Blaster to defeat the entire squad.
• Returning to the ship, Megatron checks in on his squads progress, then Soundwave gets to work on the database again, sending its contents to Nina.
• Oigaos's identity is revealed thanks to Soundwave cracking his mask. Oldrin, Orpheus and Marybell are all out for blood, but out of respect for Tink's loss and their own pain, they give Oigaos a little time to explain himself before passing judgment.

The Toxic Nemesis

• Right before heading out, Shockwave installs V.V. into a Cybertronian shell that's like Optimus Prime, but black. A means to give him some more actual strength after several defeats to the Autobots. It's given all 3 types of energon for strength, function and control. As such, he's sent with Squadron X to a small equatorial island to face The Wreckers (Omega team) as Nemesis Prime.
• Reaching the relic first, the Wreckers discover that it's Toxic energon, or Tox-En. A kind of chemical warfare energon that causes fatigue, corruption and eventual death. Since the base lacks proper storage methods for something so dangerous, Rai forms a plan to split the groups in 3 to draw Squadron X away, and then drop the Tox-En in the volcano on the island. He also blows up Overload with a tox en blast from the original container.
  • Ironhide and Chromia are attacked by Blackout, Barricade and Demolisher. While Ironhide beheads Blackout, Barricade sends the two of them into the lava flows to try and get rid of them. While highly damaged, the two of them manage to climb out.
  • Wheeljack, Hot Shot and Warpath are ambushed by Blitzwing, Lugnut and V.V. Hot Shot is seemingly M.I.A, and the other two are injured with a lost arm and their chest cannon ripped out.
• After realizing the deception, V.V., Blitzwing and Lugnut intercept Rai, Nonette, Bulkhead and Tamaki (who lost his mech early on) right before the open volcano top.
  • While Blitzwing is seemingly dropped down towards the volcano, and Lugnut is incapacitated by the Tox-En, Nemisis Prime is actually in a league of his own, beating down each of the wreckers, and giving Rai a serious injury. Bulkhead though beats him down, and destroys the tox-en in a cliff collapse.
• Euphemia and Diethard then have a groundbridge evacuation for the 3 groups, but as a parting spite, Victor shoots bulkhead in the back as they retreat.

Retribution and Recovery

• The majority of the wreckers have injuries of various types, needing new limbs, time to rest up, or concussion protocols.
  • Due to the severe injuries, the Black Knight medical staff makes the difficult call to amputate Rai's arm.
    • Nina then builds him a new arm that has proper functionality, but lacks the intricacies and nerve ends of a normal arm.
  • Bulkhead's nervous system was damaged due to his long exposure to Tox-en, but because he didn't have to carry it, he's able to regain consciousness within a day.
  • Hot Shot actually manages to infiltrate the Nemesis, going into radio silence for his next move.
• After reconvening, the alliance takes stock of the developments from their hunts.
  • Cornelia passes on the self proclaimed intel from Schitzel about going against Megatron.
  • Leila informs them that the Enigma seems to be exclusive to her use.
  • Jerimiah gets a full body exam to ensure safety.
• Angered at his brother's injury, Lelouch tries to organize a raid in order to get Victor out for them to capture. Sadly, despite his team's efforts, Megatron intervenes, forcing them to give V.V. up after they'd nearly captured him.
  • As a result, Megatron reassigns Nemesis Prime to guarding the Geass Order until he can find a sufficient way to redeem himself.
• Sigma Team sits down for a serious talk with Oigaos about how he got to where he is. He tells them everything he can about his ambitions, his missions, his desires, and even about Orpheus not being unwanted, but lost to his family. While Oigaos offers some possibilities to ensure their trust again, including getting Geassed, Marybell recognizes that to win the war, they have to be better than their worst impulses. That if he really wants redemption, he will keep fighting for it, survive to the end of the war, and THEN they'll decide what to do with him.

The Last Coordinate

• Soundwave decodes the last coordinate in the database, and Megatron tries to throw the alliance off with a false beacon.
  • Unfortunately for him, Lelouch feels the timing is too close to their own success, and so only sends The Black Wyverns to investigate.
• Megatron discovers that this last relic is The Star Saber, Prima's sword of ultimate power. As he's powerless to remove the sword himself, he tries to steal the mountain instead.
  • However, the Autobots then decode the last coordinate, and ambush the working Cons. In the struggle, Optimus retrieves the sword, and uses it to devastating effect. Megatron declares this "their Darkest Hour".

Geass War

Preamble

• With everything checking out for him, Jerimiah shares as much information as he can about the Thought Elevators and the location of the Geass order.
  • With Cera backing him up on everything thanks to helping set up the order in the first place, Lelouch begins to come up with a broad strategy to rescue the hostages and bring down the elevators once and for all.
• Toto comes clean about being V.V.'s mole with the Glinda knights. But she also decides that to finally fix her sins, she'll be part of the retrieval team for the Geass prisoners.
• Megatron uses the Decepticons' secret space bridge to take Thundercracker and Sky-Byte back to Cybertron. Their goal: retrieve the arm of Liege Maximo in order to cheat the security on the Forge of Solus Prime to make weapons to counter the Star Saber.

Initial assault

• The Alliance begins a 6-prong assault on the Thought Elevators, with the goals of destruction and rescue in mind. Unfortunately, with their new advantages, Shockwave had prepared for this assault, creating safeguards and guardians at each location.
  • Using the Red Energon sample, he instead combined it with Synthetic Energon to create a less potent but still high-function type of Energon for quicker motion with the Dark Pawns and Geass Order. He gives command of these beings to Colonel Madd for mass maneuvering, while Dr. Arkville is given remote control of the base's defenses. Then, deploying backup units to the elevators, Shockwave along with Victor and the Driller takes command of the main order to fend off the Autobot attacks.
  • Further, thanks to Thought Elevator interference, the units are cut off from each other's communications and evacuations. Not helped by the fear that opening new bridges might expose their base.
• As the fight goes on, Shirley and her father are reunited, the former having learnt of the latter's survival from Nonette's received message.
• Pushed back, Senba is killed by a red pawn. Meanwhile, all the other units are forced on the defensive due to this strong attack.
• Even the rescue team is forced to flee with all the scientists they can carry, with General Bartley, unfortunately, being disintegrated before they can escape thanks to the phase shifter.

The Counterattack

• Nina uses the arm she built for Rai to transmit a signal to him thanks to his Geass. Informed of the danger the teams are in, Nunnally splits the team in half to take down Arkville and Madd to ensure success for their teams.
  • Arkville is stopped by Shirley, Bulkhead, Jerimiah, and Joseph. Taken as prisoners for more scientific information that the Decepticons were up to.
  • Madd meanwhile is outmaneuvered by Ratchet and killed by Sayako.
• With the red pawns rendered inoperable, the squads begin their work to finish the fight.
  • The Black Wyverns send Shin packing, with Grindcore punching the elevator down in Russia.
  • The Wreckers subdue the Power member of the order, with Tamaki destroying their elevator in Antarctica.
  • The Crimson Knights/Black Dragons surround and bring down Lucretia, who thanks to the distraction, allows Safeguard and Jetstorm to collapse their elevator in Mongolia.
  • The Elite Guard knocks down Sancia, with Monica blowing up the elevator in Mongolia.
  • The Aerialbots and Zero Squad (Those not going after the main order) disarm Anya's Dark Mordred, while Arcee, Kallen, and Suzaku destroy the London location.
  • Onboard the Nemesis, Hot Shot manages to steal the Forge of Solus Prime, leaping off the ship into a Groundbridge.
  • Meanwhile, at the main order, Optimus, Lelouch, Wizard, Orpheus, Cera, Grimlock, and Alice get to work dismantling their best remote units without the pawns. As Cera brings down The Dark Queen, Orpheus and Oigaros bring down the Dark Fafnir, and Grimlock and Alice tag team to destroy the Driller from the inside. They then drive Shockwave out of the area, while V.V. retreats to the thought elevator in a desperate bid to start Ragnarok right then.
    • Unfortunately, Megatron had just arrived with a new weapon he created from the forge of Solus Prime: The Dark Star Saber: a sword made of Dark Energon of equal power to the Star Saber. He not only stops Victor cold but does... something to him in the process.

Final engagements

• Accidentally running into Megatron in their escape, Ratchet, Sayako, and Nunnally pass on a word to Lelouch and Optimus that Megatron requests their presence for a new battle. The team though does get to leave freely as Megatron has no interest in just killing these weaker beings for mere spite.
• While Optimus initially engages Megatron with Sword and Shield of Primes, Cera has an idea to keep Megatron defeated after today. And so, all the remaining warriors engage Megatron to buy some time for Cera's secret plan.
• Luring Megatron into the space just beyond the thought elevators, Cera creates a Shadowzone depot thanks to Fixit's assistance, though she again receives a Dark Geass knockout as Megatron is seemingly trapped forever.
• As they flee, Optimus and Lelouch destroy the last elevator. But as the dust settles, they discover that Cera has seemingly lost her memories to before she gained a code.
• Afterwards, the Autobots and Black Knights celebrate their victory over the Decepticons as they assemble the United Federation of Nations to chase Megatron's remaining forces off Earth. However, their plans are interrupted when Megatron reveals himself to have escaped the Shadowzone with help from Shockwave and Soundwave, and he now possesses V.V.'s code thus making him immortal and one step closer to initiating Neo-Ragnarok.
  • At that time, Marianne reveals she is alive and living within Anya.
    • Also, after doing DNA testing, it's determined that Misty Ix is in fact a hybrid clone of both Marianne and Cera. As such, with knowledge that cloning is possible, Lelouch starts making plans to create a new body for his mother to finally be free of Anya.
  • Nunnally regains the ability to walk.

The Damocles Crisis

Planning

• Using the Forge of Solus Prime, Optimus gets to work, tweaking the Autobot arsenal. Foremost, he turns the protoform knightmares into combiner units which can be used together.
• With Damocles about to launch, and the rest of the royal family about to be isolated on the station, Thundercracker decides to show mercy to the 3 unwilling royals. Odysseus, Carine and Laila all flee with a vehicon Lelouch geassed to "rethink his life". Thundercracker though decides to stay behind to learn more about what their leaders have planned going forward.
• Steeljaw offers an alliance with Knockout. That with the craziness about to unfold, they'll need to stick together for the future as survivalists.

Initial Assault

• In the chaos of the assault, the Autobots begins to make headway.
  • The Combaticons are destroyed in Bruticus mode by Rai and Kallen's combiner.
  • Squadron X is slowly dismantled by the Wreckers to the bot.
  • Steeljaw's pack is decimated, with only he and Fracture surviving.
  • The Insecticon Leaders are destroyed by the Irregulars, with Alice killing Saberhorn, and Grimlock squashing Scorponok.
• Smokescreen swipes the Dark Saber thanks to quick use of the Phase Shifter.

The Bloodbath

• Starscream and Schneizel unleash the Damocles Cannons on the Autobots and Black Knights.
  • Half of all advancing Black Knight forces are wiped out steadily and inevitably.
  • Known casualties include Chromia, Leonhart, Marika, Hot Shot, Silverbolt, Aashiana, Inoue, Minami, Sugiyama, Prowl, Kuzan, Alan and Franz.
  • Optimus Prime is severely injured after blocking the Damocles Cannons.
• Due to friendly fire, a roll call of the Decepticons reveals that nearly two-thirds of their regular warriors were killed in the battle, turning most over to Starscream's side reluctantly out of fear and obligations.

Shadow War

• With Soundwave bringing them out in the heat of the assault, Knockout, Steeljaw, Shin and Fracture regroup under Megatron, Soundwave and Shockwave's eye. Without their main armies though, Megatron decides it's time to unleash their secret weapon: A Predacon.
• Schneizel reveals to Anticlea that he stuck a microchip on his ship in the assumption that the Knights would take his ship to use with their own. So, with a theoretical grasp of where the Alliance is, Damocles begins its journey to wipe out their enemies once and for all.
• Overhearing the Constructicons' arrogance about their place in the new world order, Sky-Byte has a change of mind about the new Decepticon leadership.
• At Starscream and Schneizel's joint coronation, Megatron crashes the party with his Predacon as his main backup.
  • For the Predacon, it ends up destroying the Constructicons to the bot.
  • For Megatron, he uses all loyalists and wavering Decepticons to secure his place on the ship. Then, with Soundwave's assistance, creates a bubble to unleash a sample of Synthetic Rust Plague on the lead traitors to the cause.
    • With this attack, Anticlea, Guinevere, Schneizel and Starscream are boiled to death. Additionally, the Apex Armor is destroyed by the plague.

Regrouping

• As the alliance mourns their many losses, and the medical team try to work to save Optimus's life, Odysseus, Carine, Laila and the vehicon (given the name Steve) arrive on the outskirts of the sanctuary. Bringing both bad and good news that Damocles is coming, but the alliance might be able to fight it.
• As such, as a desperate plan, the army decides to hold out until Windblade and Smokescreen can phase through a blast and disable the shields. Thus giving them a fighting chance.
• Megatron sends an ultimatum to Lelouch: Surrender or Die. Lelouch, filled with vengeance and fury, refuses.
• To rally what's left of their forces, Lelouch unmasks to the rest of his army, and declares that they'll fight to the bitter end.

The Battle of Horai Island

• As Damocles comes to the island, it unleashes its blasts. While thanks to the shield generator nothing is destroyed, they are unable to recharge due to the strength of the blast. Thus, the true battle goes underway.
  • The Elite Guard, most of the wreckers and the irregulars are assigned ground defense alongside Steve.
  • The Crimson Knights, Black Wyverns, Zero Squad, and Black Dragons lead the air defense, while Lelouch leads a hand picked group of his most trusted soldiers to attack megatron at the main citadel themselves.
• The Decepticons though are ready with what remains of their army to strike, throwing everything they had to break the blockade before Damocles can fire again. The Predacon in particular tears apart the Hercules combiner (without killing anyone thankfully), leading the irregulars to start holding it off from the main fight.
  • Plus, anticipating the potential for sabotage, Soundwave and Shockwave are both assigned as part of the main guard of the shields and bridge. As such, a great and terrible struggle begins. One which unfortunately the alliance is unable to break through.
• Some last minute relief arrives to begin turning the tide: Omega Supreme has finally been repaired. By none other than the lightning strike coalition force's missing members. As such, Swoop, Sludge, Snarl, and Slag join Omega in turning the tide on the ground. Leading to the destruction of Fracture, as well as the capture of Knock Out, Airazor and Divebomb.
• Meanwhile, too shattered from taking the Damocles blast, Optimus Prime seemingly passes into the Allspark, ready to relinquish the Matrix of Leadership to Lelouch as his most likely successor.
  • However, despite losing the potential benefit to resurrect Cybertron, Nunnally leads the research team to give Prime's seemingly fallen body The Forge of Solus Prime, draining its energies permanently, but resurrecting Optimus in a new even more powerful body.
    • As such, on the Damocles's next shot, Optimus uses the Skyboom Shield to protect the army, before flying up, destroying the shields, and destroying the fortress too.
• As the world begins falling apart around them, the remaining named Decepticons retreat. Even the Predacon manages to escape despite being vastly outnumbered. However, Windblade manages to capture Soundwave, as well as destroy Rumble. As a last resort though, Laserbeak and Ravage evacuate Damocles and take secret positions near Horai Island, awaiting further orders for Megatron to use their strategic disappearance to snatch victory from defeat.
• With all his team reunited, Grimlock decides to adopt the name his teammates now give themselves. No longer a mere force, they're now The Dinobots.

Neo-Ragnarök

Mistakes and Manipulation

• Optimus takes on a new vehicle mode to go with the new body.
• The remaining Britannian ex-princes and princesses have the talk they needed. While quite a bit of hard feelings are floated regarding Clovis and their national goals, the end of the conversation does provide a new hope for the family: a chance to just be brothers and sisters with each other once they win.
• With Soundwave and his drones in the autobot base, Megatron actually feels confident enough to reveal to Steeljaw and Shin what the endgame of Neo-ragnarok is. However, while Shin is onboard for this new order of "peace", Steeljaw refuses to lose his free will in the service of "winning".
  • While marked for death, Steeljaw manages to escape with an intervention from the remaining high rank cons who hacked his comms: Slipstream, Thundercracker and Sky-Byte. While this new sub-group don't have influence or power to "mutiny" the same way Starscream and Schnitzel tried, they do have a plan to save their free will.
• A pair of interrogations of the higher captured cons takes place.
  • Knock Out is interrogated by his old friends from the Britannia days. While they find his motivation... lacking, they also see that he's not a terrible transformer compared to others in the Con ranks. They point out that his leader betrayed him, that his old side is losing, and that if he cooperates, they could work on the new Lancelot together just like old times. Seeing this will be the best offer he can get, Knock Out accepts.
  • Soundwave is another story. Stoic and determined, he resists all forms of interrogation. Geass he can cancel. Reasoning he mocks. And threats of dissection he responds to by putting himself into a coma.
• Meanwhile, Laserbeak and Ravage sneak about the base, finding Soundwave and the storage units for the relics. They hatch a plan to fulfill Megatron's ultimate wishes, free their master and get out from right under the Autobots' noses.
• Sending a fake call to Cera and Nunally, they draw them to the medical lab where Soundwave is being moved for a cordical psychic patch interrogation.
  • Once there, they disrupt the power, and split up.
    • Ravage retrieves both the Resonance Blaster and The Dark Star Saber.
    • Laserbeak does some fancy flying, and reactivates Soundwave from his coma.
  • Then, the three of them unite, knock out all threats in the room, and kidnap both Cera and Nunnally as a coup de grace.

Dark Revelations

• To ensure no tricks with Ragnarok, Shockwave uses Cortical Psychic Patch force to restore Cera's memories.
  • Then Megatron reveals to Nunnally the truth of her mother's involvement in all this.
• Thundercraker, Slipstream, Sky-Byte and Steeljaw work together to undermine Megatron for the sake of their freedom.
  • Thundercracker gives Nunnally a secret headset to warn her team of their plans.
  • Slipstream and Sky-Byte overload the fusion cannons on Darkmount, forcing Shockwave and Megatron to siphon their Energon to their Dark Energon reserve underground, and giving the Alliance 1 hour to act.
  • Steeljaw steals Cera and Nunnally and makes a break for it.
• As everyone's processing the kidnapping, Marianne confesses her role in Britannia's expansion. This earns her the ire and anger of everyone around her, though Optimus at least recognizes that she is trying on her road of atonement.
  • With Nunnally and Cera patching in Megatron's intentions, The Alliance rallies their forces, and prepares to assemble for their final assault.

The Battle of New Kaon/Darkmount/The 2nd battle for Britannia

• To make up for lost forces, Megatron raises a horde of Terrorcons ten thousand strong.
• As the Black Knights gather the armies they need, they assemble all worldwide forces on the plains outside the Decepticon Capital, ready to bring an end to the war.
• As Megatron only needs time to find Cera to begin Raganrok, he sets the Terrorcons on everyone, launches the Nemesis, and prepares to use his aces when ready.
• Steeljaw disables the Groundbridge blocker, allowing the Autobots to bridge within range of Darkmount. Lelouch leads his original friends (Optimus, Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, Ironhide, Ratchet, Kallen, Suzaku) and Anya/Marianne into battle along with Thundercracker and Sky-Byte, who give them the go ahead.
  • Slipstream flies off, seeking to leave Earth entirely to avoid being imprisoned after the autobots win.
  • With Lelouch going out of radio contact, Euphemia readies the Omniglobe to coordinate the armies and ensure minimal deaths during the fighting.
• Using the Dark Energon, Megatron creates a Terrorcon Driller, which kills Smilas and his attack group.
• The Predacon sends the Ikaruga crashing down, with the Dinobots intervening to prevent a total crash.
• Shin intercepts the Black Wyverns to hold their forces down.
  • Fighting viciously, and drawing The Crimson Knights along in the fight, Shin disables The Hercules, and forces Oigiaos to sacrifice himself to protect Akito.
  • Rallying together, Akito pulls a tricky maneuver to cut off Shin's head and bring him down at last.
• Leading the seekers, Black Dragons, the remaining knights of the round, and the wreckers, Ultra Magnus and Tohdoh storm The Nemesis. With all their most powerful cons fighting on the ground or in Darkmount, the ship is captured with relatively little fanfare.
  • Needing to deal with out of control Driller, the Nemesis reigns fire on it, but the Driller instead starts going after the Decepticon Flagship itself. Smokescreen then goes for a final ploy: blow up the Nemesis and the Driller together. As the teams evacuate, Smokescreen uses The Phase Shifter to reach the engines and begin the destruction. As such, both superweapons are destroyed.

The final Showdowns

• To disable the fusion cannons and protect the armies, Ratchet, Thundercracker and Sky-Byte battle Shockwave to shut them down for good.
  • Thanks to a careless shot from Shockwave, Ratchet uses a grenade to trigger their destruction. He and the "good" Decepticons escape together.
  • Shockwave meanwhile calls the Predacon to try and escape. Unfortunately, Jeremiah, Alice and Grimlock catch up with the two, killing Shockwave.
  • The Predacon meanwhile is blasted away by Omega Supreme, but manages to fly away for another day.
• After Steeljaw buys them some time, Soundwave does battle with Rai, Bulkhead and Ironhide along with his Mini-Cons.
  • Using Knock Out's virus on the minicons, the Wrecker Trio destroys Ravage, Laserbeak and Soundwave together.
• Megatron manages to escape into the Sword with Nunnally and Cera, but Marianne believes because of her status as a "ghost", she can use her Geass to go after them. As such, she leaves Anya for good, taking Optimus, Bumblebee, Suzaku, Sayako and Lelouch after Megatron.
• However, because Lelouch never fully trusted Steeljaw, he leaves Arcee and Kallen behind to keep an eye on him. His hunch is proven correct, as Steeljaw wants to destroy the artificial Thought Elevator to wipe out Megatron, Optimus and Zero in one fell swoop.
  • The battle is fierce and Steeljaw almost kills them both. However, Anya recovers just fast enough to blast Steeljaw into a chasm and Uncertain Doom.
• In the Sword, Megatron begins projecting Dark Energon to Cyberton to initiate his grand plan. As the Alliance catches up, Megatron summons the spirits of Mao and Charles to hold them off.
  • Using the Star Saber, Optimus manages to dispel Mao and Charles. However, Megatron's immortality and power makes it near impossible to slow him down, even with Cera and Bumblebee trying to use tricks to slow him down.
  • Separating Optimus from the Skyboom Shield and the Star Saber, Lelouch goes after the sword, but is seemingly blown to death by a Dark Star Saber strike.
    • Marianne goes to Lelouch, trying to figure out a way to save him, and ends up being called alongside Lelouch to The Matrix thanks to the effects of Neo-Ragnarök. In the Realm of the Primes, the dead Primes (and the collective unconscious) offer Lelouch a chance to save himself by taking on the power he's earned to be a Prime at least temporarily.
    • However, due to the risk of taking on so much power, Marianne offers up herself as a conduit to protect her son from death. In the subsequent infusion, Marianne is erased from existence, but Lelouch's body is healed, with the power of Primes giving him a transformer like control of his mech.
• With his new infusion of power, Lelouch proclaims himself Zero Prime. And with this temporary Primehood, he wields the Star Saber and Sky Boom Shield against Megatron, destroying the Dark Star Saber.
  • Using the power of the Star Saber, Lelouch purges Dark Energon from Megatron's system, allowing him to be destroyed.
    • With his fall, all remaining Terrorcons are deactivated, and the Battle of Darkmount comes to an end.
• Finishing clean up, Optimus uses the Star Saber to destroy Megatron's secret space bridge, dispursing Beleth from existence for now.
  • And as everyone celebrates and recovers, Optimus finishes the job by destroying the artificial thought elevator to end the last sign of Charles, V.V., Cera and Marianne's dark goals.

An age of Peace... For now

Immediate aftermath of the Decepticon war

• The Autobot-Black Knight Alliance helps to rebuild the world, beginning with the United States of Japan.
  • Thundercracker, who surrendered and joined the Autobots after the Alliance's victory, also lends a hand in the effort, leading a labor program for captured and/or surrendered Vehicons alongside Steve.
• The United Federation of Nations, with Kaguya Sumeragi as its official chairwoman, demilitarize and begin trade and diplomatic negotiations, leaving the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance as the only military power on Earth.
• The Wall of the Fallen is moved from Horai Island to the Kururugi Shrine, per a joint request by Lelouch and Suzaku. This war monument has Marianne's name added to it as well.

Six months later

• The Ashford Academy Student Council members pursue different life goals.
  • Shirley intends to become a therapist to help people recover from their trauma.
  • Milly decides to pursue journalism under Diethard's tutelage.
  • Nina aims to join Ratchet in the pursuit of science for peace.
  • Rai is still waiting to cast his lot with Lelouch.
  • Rivalz meanwhile has no big plans for the short term, expecting to call some favors in the future.
• Several of the Wreckers decide to get back to their roots now that they don't need to be soldiers anymore. As Bulkhead, Wheeljack and Warpath all have plans to become construction workers again.
• Cornelia and Tohdoh get engaged to Guilford and Chiba, respectively, while Orpheus dates Monica and Oldrin resumes her romantic connection with Marrybell.
• The Dinobots invite Sky-Byte to join their team, to which the Sharkticon happily accepts.
• USJ prime minister Kaname Ohgi and Villeta Nu/Chigusa are married with all of the Autobot-Black Knight Alliance in attendance.

Meanwhile...

• The Kingdom of Zilkhistans' royals, namely King Shailo and High Priestess Shanma, encounter Predaking, who transforms when Shanma formally addresses him. The two parties begin talks for their plans.
  • Warrior General Bolvona Forgnar is overseeing a recovering Steeljaw, having found and reclaimed him from New Kaon.
• Elsewhere, Beleth is confronted by Unicron, who tells him that for all his evil and ambitions, he is but a mere progeny who only had a single taste of the Chaos Bringer's powers. Unicron then absorbs Beleth along with the deceased Victor and Megatron to further his plans and imminent awakening.
