The Scrappy / Hell's Kitchen Roleplay

Go To

Season 2

  • Chris was widely hated for his Smug Snake attitude, where he would arrogantly claim he was great despite him being pretty weak in challenges and service. He was also hated for his attempted sabotage on Ewan to eliminate him in the Cook For Your Life Challenge (which thankfully backfired, as he was eliminated instead), and his crush on Mehgan that some found creepy (although some fans believed the reaction was overblown, and he was harmless). Thankfully, his brother was received much better.
  • Marcy was a short-lived scrappy, due to her Ax-Crazy tendencies and her Never My Fault attitude, where she blew up at her teammates and even the Sous Chefs upon her elimination.
  • Unlike Toasty (who was well-liked as a sous chef), pretty much no one liked Sous Chef Kazuki, as many disliked his Ax-Crazy tendencies, which many felt were overexaggerated and not fitting of a Sous Chef. It's telling that when he was silently removed from the position, almost no one missed him.

Season 3

  • Abby, without a doubt for being an Elimination Houdini and managing to survive over Hamish of all people, as well as her poorly received romance with Jesse.
  • Hugh as well for being a massive Jerkass and his extremely delusional personality.
  • However, they could not compare to Terrence, who is widely considered the most hated chef to compete due to his Dirty Old Man personality. It's telling even the other people who work on the RP hate talking about him, and he proved so unpopular during the one episode he was in he was actually considered to be ejected as the episode was going on.
  • Adding onto the unpopular staff replacements was Sous Chef Harry Azcrac, who was derided for being too much of a Jerkass without being fun, as well as his Punny Name.

Season 4 (All-Stars)

  • Initial Base-Breaking Character Jangue come back with far less skill and more attitude, but unlike last time, it resulted in him coming off as more annoying than anything.
  • There was also Carol for her annoying personality and acting nothing like the original chef they were based on.
  • Lydia for lacking passion, on top of being a confusing choice for All-Stars on top of being chosen over several other fan-favorite chefs.
  • Dee is an interesting case, as he initially got hatred for his attitude, but eventually got better. However, he ended up returning to it when he tried to throw Kelly under the bus during his elimination night.
  • Kelly is hated as well, due to her Hair-Trigger Temper and Sore Loser attitude. Also not helping was her failed redemption arc, where there was an attempt to redeem her, but all her aforementioned negative traits still remained.

Season 5 (Rookies Vs. Veterans

  • Easily Quandale for his unpleasant behavior, being a Leader Wannabe, and attempting to fight Gordon Ramsay, on top of insinuating he would do explicit things to Ramsay's daughter.
  • Betsy for her crass and often disgusting attitude.
  • S is a lighter shade of this, only because he comes off as a Poor Man's Substitute to the far more well-memed Smelly, only far less funny.

Season 6 (Rough Road to Victory)

Season 7

  • Easily the most hated chef of the season was Brody, who was considered incredibly obnoxious and not at all funny, on top of coming off as not fitting for the competition.
  • There was also Gina, who's hated mostly because of how generic she is compared to everyone else and making it all the way to the black jackets. There's also her moment where she completely forgot that Paula was a nominee option and decided to nominate Donna.

Season 8

  • Eliana, who was considered to be more annoying than funny, on top of being not at all a good fit for the kitchen.
  • Fifi, mainly for her Flanderization that occurred as a result of her crush on Frankie, and turning into a Expy of the similarly divisive Georgie. While she did slowly regain a bit of ground due to her interactions with Carl, she fell right back into the heap after criticizing Frankie for being a potential manipulator when it came to Morgana.
  • However easily the most hated chef of the season was Donovan without a doubt, due to his racist comments on Celine as well as his creepy behavior towards Fifi. Much like Terrence, he was so hated that he wound up being eliminated earlier as a result.

Hell's Kitchen: Amateurs (Season 1)

  • Nobert for his sexist attitude and being a Poor Man's Substitute to the just as disliked Billy.
  • Billy himself for his incompetence and extremely racist behavior.
  • Korekiyo also was pretty disliked for his extremely strange and borderline immersion breaking characterization, which clashed with a lot of the more grounded chefs. He did get a little bit better than he managed to help Heather secure the win.

Hell's Kitchen: Amateurs (Season 2)

  • Mitch was hated early on for being a one-note Jerkass who was bound to be eliminated early.
  • Edd also tends to get some flak, due to coming off as annoying and his final service, where he just didn't do anything of substance.
  • Rodrigo is pretty much universally disliked for being inconsistently written, on top of making it into the black jackets over Sebastian.
