• In this AU, Hermione's parents moved away after the events of the first book, so she's a Beauxbatons student now.
• When Ron's time in the Boiling Isles is nearing completion, both he and Eda wish that he could stay longer, but for a while they each assume that the other doesn't want to stay so they don't speak up.
• Harry and Luz's talk at the end of Chapter 15.
• Harry hiding his flute practice (or trying to at least) from the other Owl House residents.
  • Speaking of practise, he stumbles upon Raine as he's doing a session in the woods and they discuss a bit. As Harry lets slip the Dursleys hate magic, Raine immediately laughs it off because hey, Harry is magic so if his guardians really hate magic that would force them to hate the boy too — only for Harry to casually confirm the Dursleys cannot stand him. Raine stops laughing at once.
• The Bat Queen's sad backstory of being abandoned by her owner is made worse by The Reveal that she was friends with the two Wizards who visited the Boiling Isles a century ago, and has mourned them ever since they suddenly disappeared and never returned.
• Both Eda and Lilith want to tell Harry that he's their nephew/son, respectively, but Cannot Spit It Out (and in Lilith's case, has been forbidden to by Belos).
• Edric and Emira's conversations with Harry and Ron give us glimpses at how the twins have suffered under Odalia, if not as obviously as with Amity.
