Tear Jerker / The Olympians

• Poor Metis...Zeus married her, but then found out that her children would overthrow him. For this, he tricked her into turning into a fly while he turns into a bird and swallowed her up, trapping her eternally in his mind. The story emphasizes how lonely she ended up being while Zeus lives it up on Olympus, and eventually she births Athena in there, trains her and forges her armor (which causes Zeus a massive headache). And Athena, upon being born, swears Undying Loyalty to Zeus and has very few memories of her mother (though the memories are there, they are few and fleeting), leaving Metis without even the satisfaction of being avenged or even recognized by her daughter.
• Ares dropping this little bombshell in an argument with Hephaistos, in the comic that bears the latter god's name:
  Ares: You're sad because they don't like you? Big deal! Everyone hates me and I! Just! DEAL WITH IT!
  • Also from Hephaistos, we have Apollo making jokes about Hephaistos' disability to his face pretty much just to be an asshole. Artemis is quick to call him out on it.
• In Ares: Bringer of War, we have Ares getting a "The Reason You Suck" Speech from Zeus, telling him in front of the rest of the pantheon that he hates him and that if he were any child but his own, he would've thrown him off Olympus. And he says all of this while Ares is wounded. Even Aphrodite looks horrified.
• Achilles' reaction to Patroclus' death in the same comic.
  Achilles: (to Thetis) It should've been me.
• Achilles' desire for revenge is heavily emphasized, at one point screaming at Scamander that he has no intention to stop slaughtering the Trojans until either he kills Hektor or Hektor kills him. While the story also depicts his desecration of Hektor's grave as a massive What the Hell, Hero? moment (with even the Gods who worked against Troy being disgusted at him for it), the close up of Achilles' Berserker Tears stained face make it very clear that Patroclus' death was a very personal offense to him.
• Artemis tearing up after killing Orion. It's clear that she wanted to be his friend, but his attitude towards her leading to him trying to cause untold ecological destruction out of spite put her in a position where that was no longer possible.
