Spoilers Off applies to all Tear Jerker pages, so all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

  • Learning about Hisoka's connection to the Organization and that July was after him, Tsumugi had no choice but to cast him out from Winter Village. Guy was heartbroken as he and Azuma had treated Hisoka like their own child all this long, but the fact that Guy didn't know how he was supposed to convince Azuma takes the cake.
    • Out of their love for Hisoka, they never really told him about his connection to the Organization. Hisoka only knew about how he was found and brought to them.
  • When Tasuku and Homare talked about Hisoka's situation, Homare insisted on taking Hisoka in, and that he'd protect Hisoka from any harm himself. Then Tasuku told him about July. It terrified Homare, but he'd do his best anyway, because he loved Hisoka like his own family.
  • The argument between Hisoka and Homare is heartbreaking in so many ways. On Homare's side, he struggles to tell Hisoka about it. On Hisoka's side, he trusts Homare so much because he sees his fallen friend in him. When Homare first broke the news to Hisoka, Hisoka even asked if Homare were kidding. Then Homare just flat out said that he was serious, disregarding the fact that Hisoka had just opened up to him about the Organization. Hisoka felt betrayed and was so hurt that he hit Homare and ran off in a fit of rage. Homare never expected that Hisoka would get this angry.
    • Worst of all, this itself led to Tasuku asking the Ginsenkai patrol for help. The problem? July was spying on them. Guess what happened when Sakyo asked about Hisoka's last location.
  • The showdown with July is just as awesome as it is tearjerking. Remember what happened earlier? The fact that July was well-prepared already terrified Homare, and then Homare just had an argument with Hisoka. No reconciliation. But out of Papa Wolf instinct, Homare went to intercept July. Hisoka even noted how fierce he sounded when he told July, "Don't touch Hisoka!"
    • Hisoka screaming "Arisu" and begging Misumi to let him go so that he could help Homare was heartrending when you remember that they just had an argument earlier, and that Hisoka was still bitter about it. Despite everything, Hisoka couldn't bear watching Homare getting hurt for his sake, especially after seeing Homare's Papa Wolf nature towards him.
    • Hisoka snapped when July took out his gun and pointed it at Homare, for a very understandable reason: that was how July killed August too. Homare reminded Hisoka of August, meaning, history was about to repeat itself.
    • July shot Homare, and Hisoka just lost it.
    • When Homare appeared to have Died Standing Up, Hisoka remembered how August died and burst into tears.
  • When Hisoka kept crying at the dying Homare, Tasuku noted that Hisoka probably cried because the last time he and Homare were together, they had a very bad argument. If Homare died, Hisoka would never get the chance to reconcile with Homare.
    • With Dramatic Irony, one would know why Hisoka was bawling his eyes out: Homare went through exactly what August went through. Both of them were shot by July while trying to protect Hisoka.
  • When Homare woke up, Hisoka just threw himself at Homare out of sheer joy. It hurt Homare and Hisoka apologized; Hisoka was so happy that he couldn't help it. Then Homare asked if Hisoka were still angry at him, only for Hisoka to say that he was partly at fault too because he just couldn't control himself.
  • After the argument, Hisoka was very hurt and angry at Homare's insensitivity, to the point that Hisoka compared Homare to robots. It didn't look like anything much at first, but when Homare came around and Tasuku told him that he could've phrased things better and been more careful with Hisoka's feelings, Homare lamented how he never changed. The kicker? He brought up about how his ex called him a broken cyborg. Imagine the guilt Hisoka felt at the revelation.
    • The crying Hisoka insisted that Homare wasn't a broken cyborg because despite his insensitivity, Homare displayed his Papa Wolf instinct to its fullest and pushed his body beyond limits just to protect Hisoka. Homare thanked Hisoka for consoling him, but Hisoka just thanked him back for his bravery, showing how much he loved and appreciated him.
