- The scene in which Nigel sings to the babies as they're trapped underwater, choosing to Face Death with Dignity and keep their spirits up to the best of his ability, being certain they wouldn't make it.
- Susie asking if they can please go home and Nigel not saying a word. The babies all grow quiet as even THEY realize that they might not be getting out of this one.
- Spike rushing to retrieve the raft so they can patch the Comvee's pontoon with it and save "his" babies, despite Eliza telling him that it's too dangerous.Eliza: Spike, no! The waves are too big!
Spike: Hey! This is Spike you're talking to! I've paddled my way to more tennis balls than I can count! (gets hit by a wave) I-If I could count...
Eliza: But I'm afraid you won't make it!
Spike: Sure I will! And if I don't, well, no one's gonna say that old Down Spike didn't try his best! - Everyone, including his wife, losing respect for Stu. Even though the families' almost-deadly situation was his fault, seeing him look so disappointed in himself is hard to see. Worse yet, he did this because he wanted to spend more time with his friends.
