Tear Jerker / Raven's Home

• Considering their relationship in the original series, it's kind of sad to learn that even though Raven and her old boyfriend, Devon Carter, eventually got married and had kids, the relationship ultimately didn't work out and they ended up getting a divorce—oh, and Devon's leaving again (he got a new job that ends up forcing him to move from Chicago, Illinois to Dallas, Texas). On the bright side, it's nice to see that even though Raven and Devon are divorced, they actually still seem to be pretty good friends and Devon obviously has a very close, loving relationship with Booker and Nia. Devon even seems to get along pretty well with Chelsea's son, Levi, and seems to be pretty good terms with Chelsea as well.
• The sorrow of Raven's divorce from Devon is somewhat redeemed by the fact that Raven and Devon are able to remain good friends, but Devon has to move away after the fourth episode, and their children take it hard.
• Chelsea certainly has a lot of baggage, doesn't she? Her marriage ended terribly.
• In "Smoky Flow", we learn that Tess stays at home alone because her family is struggling financially. Poor girl.
