Spoilers Off applies to all "Moments" pages; we assume that everyone who reads on has already watched/read the story. You Have Been Warned.

  • Kanon's death in episode 14. After being blinded the episode prior, Kanon and his butler, Shihon, hide in Seiya's secret hideout. However, they are found by Keto, who kills Shihon and abducts Kanon. Ririka kills Keto, but Kanon is fatally electrocuted. Ririka realizes that the Green Vaccine can save his life. However, Kanon refuses to let Ririka heal him with their limited supply of the Green Vaccine, saying that he will never forgive Ririka if she does so, and instead urges her to purify Keto's spirit, which she does. Kanon dies, and his body turns into a ball of light and returns to Queen Earth, while Ririka tearfully watches.
  • Episode 15, the tear jerker Recap Episode. Framed as Ririka thinking back over her relationship with Kanon now that he is gone, it consolidates the arc of him teaching and empowering Ririka, only to weaken and die himself. It rounds out with a mournful insert song full of understated lyrics about loneliness and loss, and this:
Ririka: ''Senpai...it's too much for me now. I can't do it. I can't...smile. Let me cry...please, let me cry, senpai!"
  • Ririka is noticeably melancholic for most of the next episode. She even attempts to give up being Nurse Angel, saying that the fates of Earth and Queen Earth are no longer her problem, and that she will just be a normal girl from now on. In accordance with her wish, Seiya hides the fact that Dewey wants to kill him from her. However, when Ririka sees Dewey trying to kill Seiya, she realizes that she can't stop being Nurse Angel, no matter how much it pains her, because if she gives up, everyone she cares about will die.
  • Episode 19, for Dewey fans. After multiple episodes that establish how Dewey is unable to properly control his new powers, things get worse - it turns out that the powerup removed his ability to feel pain. This comes to a head in his battle with Ririka, where he sustains heavy damage but keeps fighting like nothing happened...that is, until the pain finally kicks in, and he falls to the ground, screaming. He tries to teleport away, but Buros stops him, explaining that his goal was to have Dewey kill Ririka at the cost of his own life without realizing that anything was wrong with him. Dewey calls Buros out on this, causing Buros to attack him. Now even more badly wounded, Dewey lays on the ground and asks Ririka to finish him off. Ririka chooses to heal him instead, but he doesn't seem to understand why.
Dewey: ''Jeez, Earthlings are such kind idiots."
  • Episode 22. Seiya knows that Kanon is now with Dark Joker, but Ririka won't believe him. This comes to a head when Seiya gives Ririka a message to use the Angel Heart Card on Kanon, which detects the Black Vaccine coming from him. Ririka is horrified that her mentor and crush has seemingly betrayed her, and even during her Stock Footage transformation, she sounds like she is crying.
  • Episode 34, the penultimate episode. From the beginning, it is shown that the Black Vaccine is spreading across Earth faster than the heroes can handle. On top of that, Helena is sicker than ever, and she's even gone blind. Ririka and Seiya manage to defeat another monster, but Seiya is infected by the Black Vaccine as a result. At first he seems to just have a fever, but it quickly grows worse and eventually Seiya reveals to Ririka that he's not going to get better. He tells her not to use the Green Vaccine to cure him, because there isn't much left. Of course, Ririka won't let her friend die, so she uses it anyway. Seiya is cured, but the Flower of Life still hasn't been found, and time is running out. And that's not even getting into Mimina's discovery of Ririka's fate...
  • The final episode is a Serial Escalation of tear jerkers. The show just keeps finding new ways of twisting the knife, and they just keep working.
