  • As pessimistic Dr. Blackwell comes off as, you might not help but feel sorry for the guy after the cold treatment he gets from his own son, William White. In a later cutscene in the game, William expresses he'd rather not see his own father ever again, who has been incarcerated for shutting down every robot in the United States to prevent them from falling victim to a virus that Will unwittingly created when Trinity went rogue, and all the thanks Dr. Blackwell got was being framed for a terrorist act and given a life sentence to a maximum security prison. In the post-credits stinger, William did eventually went against in own words and saw his father in prison, but rather than apologize for his own mistakes that got his father locked up, he gives his old man a harsh lecture about how his creations — Beck and (the now-functional) Trinity — will change the way of robotics and technology. Dr. Blackwell, unconvinced by his son's arrogance that started the whole mess, criticized William about the potential dangers his creations may have while referring to him by his original name (Bill), which only elicited a hostile response from William before walking out on him.
  • The ending of RAY's DLC campaign.
    • Her plot involves searching for Professor White for answers behind her constant deterioration before she eventually breaks down for good. While she eventually did get to see him during the finale after fighting Trinity, but only briefly as her body and xel core nearly ceases to function, with William looking away from RAY in shame while he orders Beck make an attempt on treating her deterioration, never getting the chance to speak with him about her past or find out why she's always on the verge of dying. Despite his best efforts, Beck's treatment unfortunately didn't work; while being taken to Sanda's lab for examination, RAY eventually succumbed to her psychotic side and gone berserk due to her core's faulty programming. Not helping matters are the fact that RAY was starting to realize that the Mighty Numbers were her family, and Beck will never know the long-lost sister he had.
    • Her plot in Mighty Gunvolt Burst wasn't much better; as she makes a last-ditch effort to find the answers she was looking for through cyberspace before what's left of her sanity veers into the deep end, but alas, it was not too little too late for her.
