- Donald giving up and fleeing the castle, after Mickey begs him not to. How sad he sounds doesn't help, either.
- This
post on Tumblr just makes it worse. Once you realize how badly Donald feels about letting his best friend since childhood down, the whole scene takes on a far more somber meaning.

- Mickey's face after Pete leaves him for dead. He sadly looks at his musketeer hat before he throws it away, as if he felt like his dream was simply a waste. He then makes a very depressed face as if he wants to cry.
- Mickey's genuine heartbreak when Pete informs him that Goofy is "getting fitted for a halo" is hard to listen to. Especially since this is after Donald has run out on him.
- The voices of Mickey (Wayne Allwine) and Minnie (Russi Taylor) were married until the former's death in 2009, and the latter's eventual death in 2019. Now go back and watch all Mickey/Minnie scenes knowing that.
