Tear Jerker / Love Opens Many Doors

• Chapter Five:
  • Nabiki Tendo admitting how much she misses her father and sisters since getting stranded in Sigil, with Shampoo commisserating about how much she misses her great-grandmother.
• Chapter Seven:
  • Elizabeth Witherbloom's horrible parental relationship. Her statement that her mom told her to stay in her room and not come out to her own birthday party because she couldn't be trusted to not embarrass her is so depressing that it makes Ranma, Nabiki, Shampoo and Ukyo feel sorry for her.
  • At the chapter's climax, Elizabeth's mom bluntly declares she'll hapily kill Elizabeth and replace her with a new daughter.
  • Even Elizabeth's name is depressing; the true draconic form of her name literally means "worm that was lucky to be born".
• Chapter Eight:
  • When they get to the Bottle And Jug, the perspective abruptly shifts to one of the staff, a pint-sized two-tailed foxgirl, who is doing her job to the best of her ability. Then she's revealed to be Kasumi, and has been working there for who knows how long with the owner scamming her over paying off her debt to them.
