Main series

Episode 2: Encounter I: Treasure Hunting and Thievery
  • Taira from the first episode is participating in the game, with the desire of healing his sick son suffering from an incurable illness. Sadly, he's the first to die in the second round, and moments before he disintegrates, he laments how much of a failure he is as a father, now having to leave his ailing son behind. Tsumuri's reaction to Taira's passing is one of the few moments when she stops being joyful and instead displays sadness. It comes as a relief to know that Ace made an anonymous donation towards the treatment of Taira's son, allowing him to have surgery and giving hope that he might at least pull through.

Episode 3: Encounter II: Zombie Hunting
  • Keiwa visits Taira's office, where a worker informs him that Taira's family has filed a missing persons report. With the rules stating that one cannot reveal the DGP's existence to non-participants, as far as the family is concerned, he just up and disappeared. Keiwa cannot reveal Taira's true fate, no matter how much he wants to.
  • Kanato's backstory. He was just a normal high schooler with dreams about playing basketball, but a traffic accident effectively put him out of commission for good. Combined with his misanthropy - especially towards the affluent like Neon, he makes it his goal to essentially render humanity extinct. If he has to suffer, he plans to take everyone else down with him.

Episode 4: Encounter III: Conditions for Victory
  • We learn the reason behind Irumi's abusive and controlling attitude towards Neon; the latter was kidnapped and held for ransom as a child.
  • Neon feeling hopeless in her current situation as an infectee, feeling like a burden in her life who deserves to be forsaken, along with the few most enjoyable moment in her life in getting a chance to fight for her ideal world in the DGP potentially cut short, only being able to try preventing the remaining players from getting infected too.

Episode 5: Encounter IV: Duo Concentration
  • Michinaga recalling his friend Tohru, who was just a co-worker that wanted to pursue his own dreams, and later is revealed that he too participated the DGP and was eliminated by Kamen Riders before Michinaga, setting off his hatred for Kamen Riders and his lone buffalo attitude.

Episode 7: Encounter VI: Kick the Can with the Last Boss
  • Turns out Geats telling Michinaga to forget about the DGP was exactly what Ace's mother said to him the day she left him.
  • The fact that Ace has been searching for his mother for over two-thousand years, especially when one considers that she vanished when he was a young child.
  • Imagine Keiwa's situation. You get buttered up by someone to work together against a tough opponent, only to nearly die and find out that your partner used you to get a weapon to defeat the boss himself. It's telling that Keiwa had enough before passing out at the end of the episode and gave an uncaring Ace a Death Glare. The other two riders reactions can double as this. Neon looks disappointed towards Ace as her trust in him has broken as well, while Michinaga gives a sullen glance as it only proves to him that Ace is no better than the Kamen Riders that were responsible for the death of his friend.
  • A subtle one, but Ace and Neon share a look while watching Keiwa and Sara have a family bonding moment. Given that we, the audience knows that Ace is looking for his mother while Neon is trying to escape an abusive family life. In an ironic twist to Sara's fangirling, Neon has proclaimed to be a fan of the Sakurai siblings as well due to being envious of the two being close family, and likely Ace is also envious of it as well.

Episode 8: Encounter VII: Trump Card Ninja
  • Sara brushes her hand on Keiwa's ID Core while being saved by him and then her memories comes back, causing her to remember how she did see their parents being killed by the hands of the Jyamato rather than having died in a car accident. To say she was distraught is to put it too nicely.
  • The news that Keiwa has to be eliminated due to him being too injured to carry on, while not apparent on the group, does crush them given how he was The Heart, especially given how Keiwa's handing off of his Ninja Buckle to Ace could evoke similar memories to another sad Rider moment.

Episode 9: Encounter F: Wake Up! Monster
  • Neon recording what could very well be her last livestream on the eve of the final fight. One can visibly see her struggling to hold back tears as she bids her fans farewell and thanks them for supporting her. Fortunately she survived due to Ace's One-Hit Kill on the final boss, but her powerlessness is still fresh on her mind to the point of doubting herself by chance Ace is no longer on the game anymore.

Episode 14: Scheme V: Glare of Anger
  • One of the Jyamato Riders utters "I have to win... No matter what", which were some of Taira's last words, causing Keiwa to hesitate in attacking it.
  • Win being revealed to be more tragic than he lets on. His backstory shows that he has a passion for music, and aspires to be a punk rocker, only to fail and left himself in a huge debt, unable to continue for any longer as his wealthy grandfather forces him to clear his debts by working as a DGP staff. Other than being forced to perform tasks in an occupation he has no interest in, he also has a Bad Boss who doesn't even give him the reward he expects in his betrayal.

Episode 15: Scheme VI: Right to Be a Kamen Rider
  • Ignoring Ace's advice multiple times, Michinaga wastes his life right in front of him and ends up dying in Ace's arms, pleading him to show what makes them so different in the end.
  • Just how distraught Keiwa and Neon are when Michinaga dies and they are left questioning more and more about the DGP, to the point what's left of their self-confidence to continue fighting is gone completely.

Episode 16: Scheme IR: Fox Hunting
  • Win/PunkJack's death. What makes it worse is that it comes right after he had regained the drive to pursue his dream of being a musician thanks to Ace's help, only to get the rug pulled out from underneath him. Just seeing Ace hesitate to shoot him for his survival is gut-wrenching as well.
    • As the scoreboard displays Win's loss/death, Keiwa can only stare in horror at it, unable to believe that Ace would go so far as to kill someone, just for what was apparently a "frivolous" wish.
    • Tsumuri looks just about to break down into tears. She may not have liked the guy, though they seem to be on better terms after (or perhaps because) Girori's betrayal on Win, but she knew that Girori using Win as a suicide bomber was too far.

    Episode 21: Divergence V: Gazer's Iron Hammer!
  • Sae got voted out as the Desastar, but she was actually covering for Neon. She even voted for herself, much to the confusion of the remaining participants.
  • Sae gives Neon one last encouragement before disappearing and Neon breaks down in tears.
  • In the flashback where Sae confronted Neon about being the Desastar, she asked Neon why she's trying to save Sae's family despite being the Desastar. Neon's response? That she believes that true love is the most important in the world, even if it's not her own. This line re-contextualizes Neon's wish, confirming that the "true love" she's been searching for extends to familiar affection. While it's no secret her family life is a mess, it confirms that Neon has never felt loved by anyone, even her own parents.

Episode 23: Divergence T: Now! For the One You Support
  • Once Tsumuri observes that her "brother" Ace has learned the truth of the DGP, she mournfully states she wishes she could've watched this world for longer, showing how fond she has grown of the place.

Episode 25: Lamentation I: The Jyamato Grand Prix ♡
  • Keiwa and Neon seeing Michinaga on the side of Jyamato and attacking them for points. You know it's quite disheartening for them when their once ally in Buffa is now their enemy, showing that his hatred for Kamen Riders is so strong that the two did nothing to change that. Ace then tells the two to not waste their time questioning Michinaga why by mentioning to the two of his dream to crush all Kamen Riders, even the good ones, forcing Keiwa and Neon to accept that Michinaga must now be taken down as well.
  • Ziin reveals that in the future one's life is entirely designed before they are even born, put into a blueprint so everything from birth to their intended lifespan is set into stone, so there's no sadness in death. The way Ziin talks about it makes it seem like a world he regrets living in, lacking excitement as everything is too predictable.
  • A boy whose flowers were trampled by the Jyamato reveals to Ace that his mother is hospitalized and he hopes in getting the Oni's bells at the festival will grant his wish of his mother coming home.

Episode 28: Lamentation IV: The LaserBoost of Bonds!
  • Ziin realized he didn't only feel fear of his own death, but specially of Ace's. It's a good thing they were saved in the nick of time, but that left him rather conflicted about seeing Ace in danger again.
  • Ace's story of how he was stuck in a cycle of reincarnation where he kept remembering his search for Mitsume was enough to move Ziin to tears for the first time, something that people in the future know of but were never able to experience.
  • Hell, think about things from Ace's point of view. Endlessly reviving, with the knowledge of every friend and love you had over the millennia being gone, or perhaps also reincarnated but unlike you, without their memories. Nevermind his ease of being able to use people as tools, given he'll "outlive" them, it also explains why he's so resistant to getting close to anyone. It just adds to his hurt.

Episode 29: Lamentation V: Surprise! A Game of Bullfighting ♡
  • After being called out by Neon, Kyuun starts to feel heartache, thinking that maybe he really doesn't like her, yet the poor guy can't see nor say what he really feels. The way their exchange before then doesn't go well either:
Neon: Who is the real you, the sweet or the salty one?
Kyuun: (panicking) Definitely not the sweet one!
Neon: So that means you're bullying me for fun? (storms off) You suck!
  • Neon shares with Ace that she always felt miserable during her birthday for some reason, and given Ace's encounter with Kousei earlier it wasn't hard for him to connect the dots and realize the harsh truth, and he was going to point it out to her if the Matador Jyamato didn't appear to bait Neon.
  • Right on Neon's birthday Beroba decides to try and dox her hard after finding out her truth. Part of the reveal happens in front of Ace, who was reasonably angry and decides to lay it on the Jyamatos with no mercy.
    • Outside of her "fans" and Beroba's crew, everyone else was shocked, sad, or holding back their anger.
  • Beroba manages to gather Neon's "fans" to raze on her after baiting her into the supporter room with a birthday setup decorated with plushies and a cake. Kyuun's warnings really came true: not everyone watching her is her fan.
    • Kyuun rushes in, but is too late to stop the exposition from happening staying there speechless as Neon is flooded with insults from her "fans".
  • Just when you thought Neon's tragic backstory couldn't possibly get worse, it does. The whole truth behind Kousei's wish, Irumi's tiger mom tendencies, and Neon's own existence comes to light in the worst possible way: Akari Kurama, the real daughter of Kousei and Irumi, died during the ransom and that left both of them devastated, specially Irumi. She was so deep in shock that all she does is listlessly sing to the birthday cake meant for Akari. So Kousei made a deal with Niram to become DGP's sponsor to wish for a new, ideal daughter, Neon Kurama, and Irumi's memories of Akari were replaced to the point she only knows Neon as her only daughter.
    • You could even see the despair in his eyes as he hands his Desire Card over to him. Making things even sadder is the fact that the guilt is still eating Kousei to this day; as on Akari's birthday he takes flowers to the place where she had been held ransom and died.
    • Neon has it rough when witnessing the harsh truth of the life that was never hers, with some of the highlights being Irumi's descent into depression from learning her daughter was dead, and having Akari's birthday all alone with Dull Eyes of Unhappiness, with Neon just there, watching.

Episode 30: Lamentation VI: The Prince in the Letter
  • A Running Gag from early in the show gets something of a Dark Reprise. As Neon decides to leave home, her mother begs her to stay, to which Neon replies that she has no obligation to do so, since this isn't even her home anyway.
    • Even worse is that, immediately before, Irumi had her memories of the original timeline restored when Neon gave her the Na-Go ID core. She does not take it well, screaming at Neon and asking who she is. By the time Neon's leaving, Irumi's processed the revelation enough to realize what she's done, but it's too late by then.
    • Given the state of of what was once on the cabinet in Kousei's Sponsor Room and Kousei panting audibly when Kyuun approaches him, the man is an absolute wreck, but manages to recompose himself just enough to clear things up with Kyuun with his typical cold front. Nevermind what he actually told Niram when the latter proposed he wishes for Akari's revival:
Kousei: And live with the memory of her first death burnt into my memory...? (devolving into sobbing) I'd break... How could I love some fabricated daughter?
    • Taking a look at Kousei's body language makes it clear how defeated he feels, there's not a hint of fight in him anymore.
  • Neon doesn't take it well when Beroba shows all that and she finds out from her mother that Akari was the real one and that she is just a replacement.
Neon: Why wasn't it all just lies...?
    • Just the sight of her actually bawling as she walks the streets alone as this page's picture above is heartbreaking.
  • Before Ace came to confront Kyuun, the latter was writing what was pretty much a farewell letter to Neon, as he didn't consider himself worthy of being her Supporter anymore.
  • After the round ends in a draw, Keiwa welcomes Neon with "let's go home." Neon sadly replies that she no longer has a home to go back to.

Episode 31: Lamentation VII: Heaven or Hell Game ♡
  • Keiwa doesn't take it well to learning how the DGP sacrifices the happiness of countless lives for the sake of someone's ideal world, and lashes out at Ace as well after learning the truth that even Ace's creation comes at the expense of others' lives and happiness. And then he gets to see this demonstrated in full effect during the Heaven or Hell Game when a girl he just saved was about to drop again, but she sacrifices a guy for the sake of her wanting to be the last one standing.
    • On a personal level, Keiwa learned that his parents failed to return because they were used as sacrifices for the DGP.
  • After already having lost his morale, Keiwa is outed by Michinaga, dissolving into bubbles that powers the Evil Goddess. Sara can only helplessly watch in horror, while Kekera is not pleased with that:
Kekera: (somberly) I can't laugh at an ending like this, Keiwa Sakurai...!

Episode 32: Lamentation F: Final Judgement
  • Ace's self-assured, composed demeanor breaks down after he's finally reunited with his mother, albeit with Mitsume in a terrible state.
  • During Ace and Mitsume's reunion, the Goddess of Desire makes a wailing sound that's implied to be the only way she can communicate.
  • Not helping matters is how callously Niram disregards Ace's reunion, simply asking for the Vision Driver back without caring for his top contestant's well-being showing us that the DGP really sees the Kamen Riders as disposable pawns instead of real individuals. Understandably, Ace is angered, and the two begin their fight.

Episode 33: Yearning I: Buffa Unrivaled!
  • Throughout the episode Tsumuri is unable to smile a single time, not even as she (reluctantly) has to deliver the ID Cores and Desire Drivers. And then she has to deliver Na-Go's, and it is clear she doesn't want to drag Neon back into suffering.
    • Chirami isn't helping either: he forced her to recruit the Kamen Riders against her will and even smushed her cheeks to shut her up, something not even Girori would do.
  • After Buffa prevents Neon from touching the Na-Go ID Core and she asks who he is, all he can do is solemnly reply "You're better off not knowing", as if he wished he could forget everything. And considering what he tells Chirami when the latter attempts to bribe him with any world he desires, he makes it very clear why while beating him down:
Michinaga: If I had to have one... then I'd want a world where the DGP didn't exist! More and more selfish bastards crop up, all because you admins dangle that "ideal world" carrot in front of them! The kind of people who'd gladly sacrifice others for their own gain!
  • Beroba forces Neon to remember the horrors of the DGP and JGP. To say the latter didn't take it well would be an understatement until Kyuun showed up.
    • What's especially tragic is that following the reset Neon had forgotten all the misery the last arc had caused her and was back to cheerfully shopping with John and Ben and getting a present for her mother, completely forgetting the fallout they'd had a few episodes before. She was back to her false life but given the pain the truth had caused her it might have been the better option. Unfortunately Beroba ruins that, because she wants Neon to suffer more.
  • Ace and Keiwa are both missing, with Sara justifiably desperate that the authorities find her missing brother, because her memories of him are not gone.
    • Tsumuri holds onto Ace's ID Core, wishing for his return. It works eventually, but he turned his gun on Chirami because of all the suffering the DGP caused to his mother — and by extension, innocent people.

Episode 34: Yearning II: Geats' Spearhead
  • Neon actually wishing to be forgotten, as if Neon Kurama never existed, just so she can move on with her life without having to worry about hurting the feelings of any of her fans. As evidenced by Sara in #31, her fans would start missing her easily.
  • Sara has a nightmare where Keiwa disappears from her life, and wakes up in the middle of night realizing she is still alone.
  • By the end of this episode is the currently strained state of the friendship between Ace, Keiwa, and Neon. Because of the revelation regarding the Goddess of Creation causes Keiwa to oppose Ace due to the misery it inflicted onto humanity while Neon needs the DGP for her wish which also causes her to oppose Ace as well. Now Ace is on his own with no support to take down the DGP.
    • While not shown, Neon and Keiwa are enemies to each other as well since only one person can get their wish granted, and because of the Desire Royale is an elimination game, they'll likely only help each other until there's only two of them before fighting each other for the right to grant their wish, and let's not even start since Sara has joined the game as well...

    Episode 35: Yearning III: A Sister's Wish, A Brother's Wish
  • Ziin doesn't admit in front of Ace, but he feels deep sorrow at the prospect of parting ways with Ace.

Episode 36: Yearning IV: Temporary Co-Op
  • The sight of a dying Archimedel surrounded by sobbing Jyamato calling him "Boss" can tug at the heartstrings. An amoral, misanthropic gardener who created the monsters threatening mankind he may be, but no one can deny that his love and care for the Jyamato are real.

Episode 37: Yearning V: Pure White Destruction
  • Despite their best efforts, Sara and Neon are permanently retired from the game by Michinaga. And Keiwa would have been too, if Win didn't make it in time.
    • Just Keiwa's utter despair to try and stop Michinaga in vain, and nearly getting a permanent retirement as well. Worse, he still believes it to be Mitsume's fault, blaming all the suffering of victims on her.
  • Ace gets to witness the crumbling of the Goddess of Creation, which also means the death of his mother.
    • Once again, the Goddess wails mournfully as Gazer beats Geats.
    • One of the smaller pieces to crumble off the Goddess is right under her right eye, implying she was shedding a final tear; that piece falls just feet away from Ace, who desperately scrambles to reach it.
Mitsume: (flashback) Forget everything about me. You'll be happier that way.
      Ace: Like hell I'll forget...!
    • Ace gives in to despair and screams in pure anguish while holding the Goddess' "tear", which causes the Boost Mk III Buckle to appear and give Ace a new form. And from the looks of it, this will be another case of a sorrow-driven berserker form.

Episode 38: Yearning F: The Nine-Tailed White Fox!
  • Ace and Mitsume's reunion is interrupted by the Grand End, with Ace not being able to get the time he wanted with his mother before she dies due to the DGP's in-universe finale.
  • Kyuun tries to restore Neon's memory in vain as John and Ben hold him back, unable to get to her before he has to return to the future before the Grand End completes.
  • For standing up against Suel to protect Tsumuri regarding his obsession for realism, Niramu gets shot by Samas, and is forced to witness Suel and Samas taking Tsumuri and his Vision Driver from him.
    • As he dies from his wound, he laments not being able to see Ace's new world to the end.

Episode 40: Genesis II: Tycoon's Awakening
  • Sara's death. Keiwa reacts just as well as you'd expect, and unlike previous cases where he killed someone, Michinaga, who was behind her demise (though unintentionally), reacts with absolute horror.
    • It's even more disheartening when he admits it to Keiwa after the latter got it out of him and didn't even try to say that it was an accident. Michinaga doesn't even fight back when Keiwa punches him and tackles him to the ground.
    • There's even more fuel to this. Michinaga unintentionally did the same thing that the Riders responsible for Tohru's demise did: ending Sara's life in front of Keiwa. Is it any wonder he doesn't fight back at the end?
    • On the other side, Tsumuri who also witnessed the tragedy from Desire Temple starts to cry, laments how cruel the situation is. And moments later, her "Goddess bell" starts ringing when she goes into the same stance where she praying for Ace's return, making it more heartwrenching.
Tsumuri: That is... just too cruel...!
  • To show Beroba and Kekera's Lack of Empathy, both two are overjoyed as they are pleased to see Michinaga suffering and Keiwa who's about to show his vengeance as a true Rider respectively. It goes to show in the future that human empathy and compassion have completely vanished to the point that it makes horrible people like Beroba and Kekera.

Episode 41: Genesis III: The Jet-Black Shogun
  • The sight of Keiwa simply sitting in his apartment staring off into space is just heartbreaking. Not helped by Kekera entering in and just pouring more salt in Keiwa's wounds.
  • A flashback has Sara crying over a photo of her parents after they been killed and Keiwa couldn't help but watch in sympathy.
  • An imprisoned Kousei looks piteous, stewing in the knowledge that he's lost everything he's ever treasured: his company, his connections to the DGP, and his daughter. Neon can't do much but look on in pity and sadness.
    • Just Neon bringing the very mention of how Akari's death broke him was enough to cause him to break down in tears and her to realize that without love there can't be happiness.
  • It is clear how broken Michinaga is from having presumably killed Sara, as whenever he sees more Stage 2 Jyamato victims being absorbed by the roots he immediately sees a hallucination of Sara chewing him out for wanting to save lives but ending them instead.
  • The Bujin Sword buckle's attachment line is Avenge. Keiwa's final form, usually a moment of triumph for secondary riders, was only brought into existence by Keiwa's overwhelming despair at everything he's been through and the loss of his sister. The only reason he obtained it is to punish Michinaga and Daichi, not to save others as his earlier self wished for.

Episode 42: Genesis IV: The Goddess' Transformation, The Blade of Darkness
  • Keiwa's mind continues to deteriorate as Daichi — who has absorbed Sara's memories — mocks her by calling them worthless, and saying the same about Keiwa's life.
  • Keiwa's voice when he transforms becomes a low and guttural monotone, a far cry from the kind tone he usually has. You can hear just how broken Keiwa is from all that's happened.
  • Ace has to stop Keiwa from killing Daichi and tells him to snap out of it. Keiwa refuses and disappears. On top of the worry Ace must have for Tsumuri, he now has to watch one of his best friends spiral further into darkness.

Episode 43: Genesis V: The Name Is Gya-Go!
  • After all he did to bring them back, Keiwa doesn't even get to see his revived family before they are ripped away from him once again.
  • Kousei breaks down after receiving a second ransom letter from the man who had kidnapped and killed Akari. Both he and Irumi realize just how much wrong they've done to Neon, especially since all she really wanted was for them to love her back. Fortunately for Kousei, it's not too late for him to make amends.
    • It is made clear that while Irumi always loved Neon but needed time to take in that she was a replacement for Akari, Kousei always loved Neon but tried too hard to not love her, to the point that this is what was slowly breaking him.

Episode 44: Genesis VI: Neon, Shine Bright
  • Kousei's scream of utter despair when he, still badly wounded, sees that Beroba is about to kill Neon right before his eyes.
  • Neon and Kousei openly weep when they finally reconcile, and unfortunately he is too wounded to stay conscious, which results in Neon hurrying him to the hospital while begging him to hold onto his life.
  • Irumi hurries to the hospital, not even stopping when she trips and one of her shoes comes off, coming to comfort a visibly scared Neon.
    • It is not that Irumi is putting up a strong front by not crying, but she is nearly catatonic from almost losing her daughter again and Kousei's condition.
  • Tsumuri is quick to notice Keiwa isn't happy, and points out how miserable he looks, causing him to remain speechless and avert his eyes, until she asks him what happened to the Rider who yearned for world peace, resulting in a sorrow-filled response that caused Tsumuri's eyes to mist up in tears.
Keiwa: What's the point if my own world doesn't get to be at peace...?

    Episode 48: Genesis X: Tsumuri's Requiem
  • Tsumuri is the one to kill Ace after Suel depowers him by ironically using the Magnum Shooter 40X, Geats' preferred buckle. However, Ace just accepts his incoming death with a smile.
  • To further drive in the knife, the episode's DGP rule screen is dead silent, and stays like that until the somber music replaces it at the title reveal and preview of the next episode.

Final Episode: Dawn I: Here Comes the Highlight!
  • In the beginning it is revealed that Black Tsumuri possessed Tsumuri to kill Ace, and the guilty look on Tsumuri's face at what she has done says it all despite the fact that Ace wanted to die.
  • Upon the announcement that Ace/Geats has been eliminated, the remaining riders can only look in distress disbelief when they hear it.
  • When Suel is taken down, Ace does one last thing and resets the world while wiping out every last undesirable trait of the DGP, but ultimately decides to leave everyone to forget about him as well. Keiwa, Neon, and even Michinaga plead Ace not to do so, but Ace goes through with it anyway.

Movies and Specials

Kamen Rider Geats Extra: Kamen Rider PunkJack
  • It's clear Win did not want to have to dissolve his band, and he is later seen stumbling drunk in the dead of the night.
  • When Hiroki realizes the DGP is a life-or-death game, he desperately tries to leave it because he has a child to raise. He eventually makes an official withdraw, but at a cost... Losing his passion for music.
  • Win's dejected expression when he realizes that he can't get Hiroki's passion for music back, and later in the end he ponders whether Hiroki is happier now that he has lost that passion but can raise his kid, or when they were together as a band.

     Kamen Rider Geats: Jyamato Awaking
  • Hazuki gets to see her husband being killed by a cop shortly into the movie, and that drives her into a blind rage. To make matters worse, her son Haruki was with her and saw all of that unfold.
    • Later on Aoto seeds the idea that Haruki may have been killed by another human to try and break her even more than she already is, but thankfully Keiwa and Neon comes to expose his lies.
  • Haruki, an one month old child that has the body and mentality of a 10 year old, sees his mother dies before his eyes. Without his father and now his mother, he cries in rage and hatred at mankind.
  • Future!Ace's situation is very sad: as he is a literal God, he outlived all of his friends and that hardened his heart to having any kindness.
  • Michinaga experienced multiple heart aches through the movie simply because he was constantly rejecting his Jyamato half, which yearned for his recognition.
