WARNING: As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy.

  • Leshy's final game with you as the world of Inscryption is deleted. After a good while of playing through P03's cold, impersonal campaign, you learn that Leshy's creepy vibes and violent actions were merely an act to give the player a great experience. Him genuinely congratulating you and your improved deck-building skills as the world crumbles around him feels like talking to an old friend one last time before he's gone forever.
  • Your last game with Magnificus isn't much better either. At the start, he seems to blame you for what is happening to Inscryption, calling you out while issuing an epic last challenge of wits against his opponent. He puts out other bombastic speeches, accusing you of not caring about his world being erased, while the game crumbles and breaks down around you... and then, by the end of the fight, it's shown that this is (possibly) an act: Similar to Leshy, Magnificus wanted to give the player one last game before being erased, and spends his last moments struggling to desperately shake your hand, but he is deleted in front of you before he's near enough to do that.
  • Even though Grimora had the most time to play with you, complete with a tabletop section to go through before getting into the card dueling, it's still hard to not feel bad when she lamented that, had things been different, you two could've had so much fun together. She even got excited that there was enough time to do a boss fight with you and enthusiastically donned a mask just like Leshy did, before said mask got deleted away and she solemnly realized that her time is finally up.
  • Seeing Goobert's painting again during Magnificus' part of the deletion sequence, the ooze blotted out with white paint presumably by Magnificus...
    • Similarly, if you lose to Goobert in Act 2, he will ask you to go to Magnificus and confirm his victory. Unfortunately, there is no way to reach him until you beat Goobert, so you must fight him again, breaking his heart.
  • The only thing Luke Carder did was find a video game that nobody was supposed to find, and he ends up being murdered for it.
  • Kaycee Hobbes took a job at a normal-seeming game company, only for the game to suddenly come to life in a way that should be impossible. She's convinced no-one else would believe her and lonely enough that she appreciates Leshy talking to her and comes to see him as a friend, even working to improve his game. In the course of this however she learns more about the OLD_DATA, discovering that the game she's working on may contain the activation code for a secret Nazi doomsday machine buried somewhere under Berlin. She contemplates destroying the disk but is unsure whether the code might be needed to disarm the device and the stress of this results in her barely leaving the house. Eventually the game is recalled and she dies in suspicious circumstances shortly afterwards, presumably still believing that her dream of people enjoying her mod will never be fulfilled.
  • The ARG has confirmed that, despite everything that happened in the main game, P03 managed to survive his final defeat and finish uploading Inscryption's files to the internet, meaning that all the pain and sacrifice Grimora went through was All for Nothing. She and the other Scrybes are doomed to continue their pointless in-fighting forever, P03 is free to continue his plans, and worst of all, the OLD_DATA is freed.

"Please... a few more rounds."
