Tear Jerker / George Carlin

  • As cynical as George was, the final monologue of his 1997 HBO special was absolutely moving. While these words were spoken years before his death, they come off as sort of a parting message to his audience and the world in general.

George: I believe we're part of a greater wisdom than we'll ever understand. I call it "The Big Electron." It doesn't punish, it doesn't reward, it doesn't judge at all. It just is, and so are we...for a little while. Thanks for being here with me for a little while. Take care of yourselves...and take care of somebody else.
