Chapter 11

  • Catra accidentally breaking the gift that the girl made for her and earning the scorn of the Plumerians as a result.

  • This chapter gets heavy as it is revealed that Catra was not being boastful or egotistical because she liked the Plumerians' praise, but rather because she thought they cared about her, something that nobody in the Fright Zone, other than Adora, ever did besides bully her and treat her like a freak.

Chapter 14

  • The flashback in this chapter is about how a night where Adora and Catra still kids and the other young cadets got Shadow Weaver to tell them a story that night. However, after the story Catra innocently asks if all the princesses are really evil. Shadow Weaver then snaps and cancels story time for all the cadets just because Catra dared to question her and Hordak. Young Catra is brought to tears, partly from getting yelled at and partly because she could already tell the others hated her because of that.

Chapter 17

  • Catra getting angry with Glimmer

Chapter 35

  • Adora almost has a complete break down. First, she realizes that Glimmer really is telling the truth when she says there is no spell on Catra and she is horrified that she's been torturing Glimmer for a half hour when she was completely innocent. Then she realizes that means there is nothing wrong with Catra, she really did abandon her and The Horde.
  • A brief one. When Shadow Weaver has both Glimmer and Catra prisoner, Catra begins hurling insults at Glimmer. She calls her an annoying idiot with a pudgy body, says that the only reason she came was because the queen threatened her, and mocks Glimmer attempts to try to be friends. All of this makes Glimmer cry. Thankfully it doesn't last long, as Shadow Weaver threatens Glimmer and Catra shouts at her to stop. This makes Glimmer realize that Catra was just bluffing.

Chapter 36

  • Adora gives Catra a choice as she is about to escape The Fright Zone: come back to The Horde and keep the sword of protection or escape with The Rebellion without the sword. Unfortunately, Catra takes a third option that, while necessary, is a lot more painful for both of them. Catra pretends for a moment to be going back to the Horde, going up and hugging Adora, then she quickly grabs the sword out of Adora's grip and runs out with Glimmer. Catra cries as she runs thinking to herself that, despite the fact that she needed to do it, it was the most painful thing she's ever experienced. Adora just stands there in shock until Scorpia snaps her out of it, at which point she just cries on to Scorpia, now convinced that Catra sees her as secondary to everything else in the world.
Adora: (thinking to herself) How sad do I have to be until you're finally happy?!

Chapter 43

  • The last memory Adora and Catra are run through: Catra was worried that Adora would fail the Terrain Exams and they wouldn't be in the same classes anymore so Catra took her to the training rooms at night. Unfortunately, because Catra didn't keep her promise to help Kyle with his chores, he didn't have the time to check the equipment. As a result, part of the course breaks and Adora is crushed by a pile of falling pipes while saving Catra and all Catra can do is scream for help. Adora is rushed to the medical ward and wakes up wondering why Catra isn't there. Catra on the other hand was being savagely beaten by Shadow Weaver.

Chapter 44

  • Adora relives the aftermath of Catra abandoning her to Octavia's punishment. How Catra came back to check on her and how mad she was at Catra at first. How upset she was that Shadow Weaver had yelled at her. Then Catra comforts her and they promise to have each others backs from now on. While she used to think about this memory in a happy light, it now just fills her with sadness and anger. After seeing it again Adora comes to believe that Catra never actually considered Adora a friend but rather a tool to use to get what she wanted or to get out of trouble.

Chapter 48

  • Catra becomes so convinced that she has made everyone else's lives worse with everything she's done that she rejects Light Hope's training out right and almost elected to spend the rest of her life alone in the crystal castle so she doesn't ruin her friends' lives any further.

Chapter 50

  • Catra wanting to sit out The Battle for Brightmoon. It's not because she doesn't want to help and it's not because she's a coward. It's because she knows Adora will be leading the charge. Catra feels so guilty about the way she treated Adora in the past that she doesn't think she has it in her to fight her. And even if she can bring herself to, it would be the end of their friendship forever.
  • Glimmer and Bow telling her that she shouldn't come back if she leaves. It's not that they wouldn't want her to come back, but even if they won it would look bad for The Rebellion and for Catra if they just let her come back after running from the battle.
  • For a moment Catra tries to convince them to come with her, but when they say that Brightmoon is their home, she realizes that she can't convince them to do that, especially since she did the same thing and it has brought her so much pain.
  • Bow and Glimmer's goodbye's to Catra. They very clearly don't want her to go, but also want her to make her own decisions. They just give her their gifts and say their goodbye's.
  • Catra admits to Swiftwind that she is scared of what happens next. Either side she picks to fight for she loses a friend and if she picks neither like she was going to, she loses everything.

Chapter 54

  • "No Happy Endings End" really does its best to live up to the name.
    • Even after all the hardship she went though and even after managing win The Battle for Brightmoon with the help of the others, Catra still has do the one thing she try her best to avoid doing. Being backed into a corner, she knows she and her new friends won't survive if she doesn't do it. So, with tears in her eyes, she lets go of her connection to Adora.
    • After Catra uses the full force of She-Ra on Adora, the gem in Adora's headband finally breaks. Exhausted, Adora only has enough time to say one thing before falling unconscious and being whisked away to safety by Scorpia.
Adora: I... will never... forgive you...
    • At first everyone begins cheering about how the day was save. How Catra beat the last threat and because of her they won. Only to then look over at Catra and see how badly she is crying. They all see Catra's face in unimaginable amounts of pain as she beats the ground in sadness.
    • On that note, of course the others would think of this as victory until they looked at Catra. Catra is the only one who lost anything, and she lost almost everything.
    • Catra realizes that everything she once had (I.E. Adora, her old life, everything she loved about it, etc) is all gone and it's never coming back. It had all been taken away from her and she only has herself to blame. As Catra is completely unable hold anything back while crying, she wordlessly recalls some of the happy memories she had with Adora.
    • As touching as it is for Glimmer, Bow, Queen Angella, and Swift Wind all to be hugging Catra, it does little to help Catra. All Catra is able to do is throw her arms around Glimmer and continue to cry into her chest. Even as she acknowledges in her head that she isn't alone and the people hugging her are her new family, she just keeps crying until she passes out.
    • The others are about to go down to hug Catra as well only to be stopped by Mermista. As much as they are all hurting seeing Catra in so much pain and how much they want to comfort her, they all wordlessly acknowledge that the only people who should be with Catra right now are the people she is the people she is closest to.
    • While it would be quickly turned around, when Catra woke up after passing out, despite not crying anymore, she didn't really feel any better.

Chapter 112

  • While canon Catra admitted to hating Adora, she still wanted her around. Here, Adora messed with reality so she never met Catra.
