  • Coco's backstory, revealing that the gloomy girl was a Country Mouse who moved to the big city on her biological father's behest. However, she's unloved by her family and the servants look down on her, treating her as a bumpkin.
  • The Gardener telling Coco that the twins don't accept her because of her status and they never will. She kicks him before bursting in tears.
  • Lyell's grandfather (who happens to be the Gardener) having a heart attack after he finds out Coco is haunting the now abandoned mansion.
  • The reveal that the twins stole Coco's notebook and threw it in the well. Coco ended up dying in an attempt to get it back.
    • To make things worse, the twins got away with it. Coco is buried in a shallow grave in the garden and only the Gardener mourns her.
  • The True Ending, which explains all the bizarre things happening in the mansion with clarity:
    • The monsters haunting the mansion are actually astral projections from Coco's notebook, who loved nursery rhymes. They're aware that if she goes to the afterlife, they'll disappear with her, so they distract her with chores and useless quests so that she won't get her notebook back. She's been doing this for 50 years.
    • Lyell decided to forget about Coco, after her simply mention caused his grandfather to have a heart attack. Years later, he returns to the mansion and sees Coco again, still looking like the same little girl from 10 years ago. As he wanders in the mansion he discovers who Coco is (or rather, was) and her relationship with her grandfather. He's obviously feeling guilty after realizing he left her to haunt the mansion because of his indecisiveness.
    • Coco collapsing on her knees upon finding the hole she awakened at the beginning of the game, implying to contain her rotting corpse.
  • The credits, if you reached the True Ending:
    • Coco staring at the portrait of her father and the twins. She wants to be part of the family so badly, but due to being a bastard child, she doesn't truly fit with them.
    • Coco and the Gardener watching a locked bird in her room. Earlier in the game, Lyell sees her now abandoned room, and the bidcage is on the floor with feathers around the place, implying that something terrible happened to the bird.
    • The Gardener mourning Coco. It's the only time where he isn't stoic or annoyed, crying alone in his room.
    • The final CG, Lyell putting a bouquet of flowers in Coco's resting place.
