Kangwaru is a parody of Wabuu, the mascot of Dingo Pictures. Specifically the psychopathic ax-murderer version portrayed by Phelous, who also does Kangwaru's voice.
The Teen Girl enemy (also known as Lupa) is unabashedly based on Allison Pregler, who also does her voice lines.
Cruel Cat is a parody of Cool Cat from Cool Cat Saves the Kids, complete with a shirt that says "CRUEL CAT HATES YOU".
The "Dalekatessen" is a chef-themed version of a Dalek.
"I'll hug you my pretty," is clearly one of these from the Young Witch to the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz.
Official Levels
During one the Wizards Tower level you hang out with Lupa, and get sucked into a TV. Depending on your conversation options, you might end up in a level based on Birdemic, complete with exploding bird enemies driven insane by global warming.
