"Did you ever think your little girlfriend might be a liar?"

This hellish musical is full of head-turning revalations that will leave your jaw on the floor.

Season 1:

"Masquerade"
  • Husk revealing that he was once a former Overlord who only sold his soul to Alastor to keep his power, but ended up losing it all and was forced into total servitude. Who would have guessed this washed out bartender was once a powerful being?

"Dad Beat Dad"

  • Mixed with Funny, but Alastor suddenly dropping the F-bomb. In this show full of potty mouthed demons and angels, Alastor remained the only character in the main cast who never cursed more harshly than a damn or hell. So to hear him swear in front of Lucifer, the King of Hell, of all people caught many people off guard and also had them laughing their ass off after the shock.
  • Husk revealing that Alastor sold his soul to, or at least is in servitude of, another being is a true shock. The fact that even someone as powerful and as feared as Alastor is somehow under the control of someone else is bone-chilling. This is also Alastor's Berserk Button as Husk found out the hard way.

"Welcome to Heaven"

  • Adam and Lute reveal that Vaggie was a former Exorcist angel who they mutilated after she showed mercy to a demon kid. Some viewers guessed and saw it coming (and even then, they’re positively shocked by the context about how and why it happened), but other viewers did not. Charlie's shocked expression says it all.
  • The reveal that not even the higher-up Angels of Heaven know why a soul is condemned to Hell or sent to Heaven, only when they arrive. It completely changes the way Charlie, Vaggie, and by extension the viewers think the afterlife works and starts an interesting mystery.

"The Show Must Go On"

  • Who is the one to kill Adam once and for all? None other than Niffty, who was simply doing what she was told and killing every angel she saw!
  • Sir Pentious becomes the first sinner ever to make it to Heaven, to the absolute shock and delight of Sera and Emily respectively.
  • The season's final scene. Where has Lilith been all those 7 years that Charlie guessed was about some serious business? Heaven, where she's (seemingly) not doing any work at all, while Lute commands her to go down and deal with "her brat".
