Blood is thicker than water...and no one is thicker than the Scotts.

2020 Reality TV Mockumentary Sitcom about a typical Glaswegian family.

Provides examples of:

  • All Women Hate Each Other: Subverted. Although the show starts off with all the women seemingly in conflict with one another, as time goes by, they actually start getting on better. Laura and Vonny develop an Odd Friendship despite their contrasting personalities, Colette actually starts to respect Laura a little when she realises Laura isn't a total goody two-shoes. Most notably, Vonny and Eilidh bury the hatchet after Eilidh was Mistaken for Cheating with Vincent and Vonny starts treating her like one of the family.
  • Confession Cam: In keeping with the Reality TV style, events are interspersed with interviews with the family members.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: When Henry and Darren get into a fight, Darren wipes the floor with him.
Colette: It was like an Alsatian fighting a yum yum.
  • Floorfilling Song and Dance: Hinted at when Henry mentions to the DJ at Moira's party that he's hoping that he'll play "The Hucklebuck" later on.
  • "Friends" Rent Control: At first, it's not entirely clear how Henry and Laura have been able to afford their house on Henry's single income as a scaffolder, until it's established that Henry manages and possibly also owns the scaffolding company. The real question by the second series is how Colette and Darren have been able to afford their new house on Darren's wages as a personal trainer and Colette's non-existent earnings from her music "career."
  • Intrafamilial Class Conflict: Class tensions ripple throughout the family and are largely Played for Laughs, from Henry and Vincent's Rich Sibling, Poor Sibling dynamic to Colette roasting Laura's prim and proper manner of speaking.
  • Like a Son to Me: Vincent's Platonic Declaration of Love to Eilidh makes it clear that he never seriously considered cheating on Vonny with her because he sees her more as a younger sister or daughter then a potential partner.
    "I love you, wee yin."
  • Mafia Princess: Gangsters' girlfriends are the main clientele of Vincent's business.
  • The Unfavorite: Both Henry and Moira are pretty blatant about this when it comes to their kids, despite insistences to the contrary.
Henry: We've raised two fantastic kids. They're both fantastic. Even the boy.
    [...]
Moira: I don't play favourites. But it definitely isnae Vincent.
