The Complien Show is a series created on the Random-ness Wiki about a group of scientists living their life, often getting into strange scenarios. Often, the series tries to be humorous, although a select few episodes have deeper plots.
This series contains the following tropes:
- Absent-Minded Professor: Prof. Wright, and just about every other scientist in the lab.
- Aerith and Bob: Human names when compared to Neptunian names can go this way.
- Aliens Speaking English: All the Neptunians that appear.
- Berserk Button: Everybody has one, mentioned inside the show or outside the show, as it seems.
- Brand X: Used a lot, Crisples (Pringles), Winkies (Twinkies), Guava Co. (Apple), etc.
- Corrupt the Cutie: Q-T, an adorable robot, who appears in episode 10 who gets thrown out by Prof. Wright and seeks to kill him.
- Elective Mute: Prof. Mysteria, who rarely talks to anyone besides her family & friends.
- God of Good: Well not a god... a Celestial Star Being. But close enough.
- Go-Karting with Bowser: Prof. Wright has done karaoke and The Game of Life with the Grim Reaper.
- Headphones Equal Isolation: The entire plot of episode 14, truly where Prof. Wright creates Mayor Fernando a pair of headphones which can turn off sound entirely, sending Scienceburg into chaos.
- Grumpy Old Man: The owner of the Scienceburg Classic Buffet, as seen in episode 34.
- Heroic Neutral: Prof. Wright has no intentions towards being truly "good", but he is seen stopping most evil in the series.
- He Who Must Not Be Seen: Hugh's face is always covered by a cardboard box.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Dr. Social Studies, at least many consider him this way.
- Killer Rabbit: See Corrupt the Cutie
- The Lab Rat: Although there is no particular person, Prof. Wright usually does them on either himself or Mr. Rhezo.
- Lovable Nerd: Prof. Wright, you must admit, is a nerd.
- Mayor Pain: Mayor Fernando, who spray-paints the walls of Scienceburg and as well makes strange laws when taking control. Often he can be a bad, or dumb mayor, yet everyone still seems to love him.
- New-Age Retro Hippie: Cloud Peacetrance, who lives entirely on a salt-based diet, and happens to be Pope of Scienceburg.
- Stupid Scientist: The fact that the entire show revolves around scientists, this is bound to happen at times.
- The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: Mayor Fernando, he sucks so much at his job, it's hard to consider most of the work he does even counts as mayor work.
- Time Travel: Can be seen in several episodes of the series.
- Too Quirky to Lose: In an episode where the scientists go to Scienceburg Fun Valley, Prof. Wright, although only getting a score of 7 in bowling, gets challenged by Eric Wetzel, the bowling champion, anyway.
- Unknown Character: Hugh, who eventually has an entire episode written about his strange behavior.
- Weirdness Magnet: Strange stuff happens to a lot of characters, and the Celestial Star Being may be summoned more than once.
- Whole-Plot Reference: Doctor What, James Wright 007, the list goes on.
