Nas Garras da Patrulha is a Brazilian humorous television program produced and aired by TV Diário. was conceived to be shown on TV in 2001 by initiative of the then superintendent of Sistema Verdes Mares Mansueto Barbosa. Set in the state of Ceará.
Nas Garras da Patrulha contains the following tropes:
- Sketch Comedy: The program is completely made from comic and satirical regional sketches with northeastern language.
- Puppet Shows: It is the main feature of the program. All characters are tall cloth puppets that talk by moving the head, mouth and usually just one of the arms, as the manipulators use both hands to move the head and to move one of the arms.
- Stylistic Suck: The puppets were obviously meant to be ugly judging by their looks, and the backgrounds are just still images with very low variety.
- Cast of Snowflakes: Each puppet featured on the show has very different looks from one another, even those that appear little.
- Matte Shot: All program backgrounds are images inside the recording studio.
- Only Six Faces: It seems to have a very low variety of puppets, so much so that even the main characters share the same face, like Coxinha with Tizil, Tabosa with Teté, Doquinha with Tatá and so on. The only character in the entire show with an independent puppet is Dudu.
- Gossipy Hens: Coxinha fits in completely with that. He is always gossiping and badmouthing someone behind his back to his friend Doquinha.
- The Alcoholic: Tabosa.
- Born Unlucky: Tizil is by far the unluckiest guy in this show's universe.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Dudu Gasguito currently takes the place of Zunin Zoião, one of the first characters in the show. The differences between the two are only in the voice and the puppet.
- Art Evolution: In 2018, the production team made new puppets for all characters plus some new backgrounds.
