That's why you're watching Buzz this week.
Intro song

Buzz is a Canadian Live-Action Comedy television series that aired on Comedy Network.

The show was a candid camera series hosted by Daryn Jones and Mista Mo (Morgan Oliver Smith). The basic premise was that the two would go to various places in the city of Toronto, often dressed in various costumes, and interact with people on the street, or simply make comments on various people they see walking around.

The show started in the mid-90s as a community channel show on Rogers Television before it got a network deal in 1999. It aired on January 31st, 2000, and ran until 2005.

Buzz contains examples of:

  • Bait-and-Switch: Pretty much all the Virgin Porn segments, where the titular virgin is seen moaning regularly to something, only for it to turn out it was to something else entirely.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: One of the sketches involved parodying silent black-and-white movies. To help complete it, the footage was given a grey filter.
  • Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: Ass-smacking was the whole point of the Captain Harassment sketches.
