Do you ever think about how Skydance Media tackles animation? How does John Lasseter work well to Skydance? And does it's luck actully work? Strange Luck does exactly that by bringing the worlds of Pixar Animation Studios and Skydance Media into a tone inspired by Disney's Strange World.

Strange Luck is set within the world of Skydance Animation's Luck with elements from Pixar inspired from Luca, Turning Red, Wall-E and other films like Sonic the Hedgehog (the film one) and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (Blazing Samurai). The story follows two young boys from Italy (Luca Paguro and Alberto Scorfano) helping a young woman named Sam Greenfield fix her luck by going on a jounrey from their home town in Skydance Hills to the unknown strange world they live in filled with danger, adventure, and luck.

Created originally on Deviantart by B-Master Animation, co-developer of The Ultimate Ed Chronicles and creator of Wilde Times, Deku & Ochaco: Heroes of Tomorrow, and Lucky Spirit, the series is more of a tribute based around the style of Pixar Animation Studios and Skydance Animation through connections around John Lasseter and influence by the buddy comedy tone of Pete Docter and Dan Scanlon.

Tropes that apply to ''Luca & Alberto: Strange Luck':

  • Fusion Fic: The world has a bunch of Pixar Animation Studios and Skydance Animation characters, connected in the same world around Skydance Media.
  •  Magic Genetics: The esscene of Bob's lucky penny fuses within Sam's body to give her not only super speed but also makes her luck unbalanced by good luck and/or bad luck.
  • Shout-Out: The town Luca and Alberto lives in, Skydance Hills, is named after the company Skydance Media.
