Remnant Inferis: DOOM Nightmare Fuel page
  • Once the Slayer wakes up, shit hits the fan for the White Fang, as he slams one's head into his pod hard enough to jam his nose into his brain, outright punches the jaw clean off of another, and blowing the head off the last one. The kicker with the one who got her jaw punched off? She was still alive! The only thing she could do was desperately crawl away as the Slayer splattered her brains all over the floor.
  • The nightmares that team RWBY goes through get incredibly morbid.
    • Ruby's is probably the worst of them. She wakes up naked, surrounded by blood, flesh and guts. She then hears a voice behind her, which turns out to be her mother. Before she can run up to hug her, it's revealed that this Summer had her eyes bored out of her sockets and has a giant, bloody hole in her stomach, indicating that her womb was torn out of her body.
Summer: Please, Ruby. Come rot in Hell with me.
      • If that wasn't bad enough, she then tries to drown her daughter in blood and rot, all while her daughter begs for help.
    • In Blake's nightmare, the Slayer, in his Doom Eternal suit, kill everyone in the White Fang, including her father and Ilia in front of her. After that, undead White Fang members catch her and just before being killed, she sees Adam's reflection in the Slayer's visor instead of her own.
    • Weiss dream is that she was defeated by the Arma Gigas and had to submit to her father's will. After that her father, flanked by Classic Doom's Imps, reveals that he sold the world to the demons. Just before being killed she had to watch Atlas being destroyed by Hell.
      • She later suffers from mind rape via a Pain Elemental, forcing her to remember every bad thing about her family.
    • Yang's nightmare is tamer, but having her stepmother killed in front of her by an Imp's arm that comes out of nowhere is very disturbing.
  • The cults are horrific enough on there own with sacrificing anyone to bring demons to Remnant, but the fact that almost anyone can be a member of these cults is Paranoia Fuel at it's most disturbing. The person right next to you could be a cultist just waiting to sacrifice you for a ritual, and you don't even know it.
    • Not only that, but the cults are really charismatic, convincing an entire city to just allow everyone to be sacrificed to Hell.
  • The fact that a wrong word in the satanic rituals can kill the cultists is also terrifying. The cultists in the cathedral misread a syllable, and it alone was enough to kill everyone in the room with the exception of Fiola.
    • That being said, it was a good thing, because if he hadn’t misread the texts, a real gore nest and a portal would be created. In other words, Remnant just survived this one through sheer dumb luck.
  • The Marauder. A terrifying, demonic version of the Slayer, bearing the appearance of a demon/human hybrid. Imagine the ferocity and power of the Slayer in the hands of a demon. That's the Marauder.
    • It took the Slayer everything he had just to snap his neck! What happens next? The Marauder just gets back up and twists his neck back into place!
    • Seconds after having his neck twisted back into place, he was ran over by an combat APC, but hours latter he was together with a group of possessed Atlas soldiers in Bullheads. Yang even says that he is stronger than the Slayer. We'd like to repeat that. There is a demon stronger than the Doom Slayer!
    • Even more horrifying? He's out of Hell and on Remnant! God have mercy on whoever runs into him...
  • The demons and the cultists turned every other evil faction into a minor evil, because they're an unexpected opponent and far more evil, intelligent, and cruel.
    • The Grimm are dangerous in great numbers and the older they are, the more intelligent they become, but they're nothing near the demons, because with the exception of the normal possessed all demons are more intelligent than normal Grimm, and while all huntsman in Remnant train for their entire lives to fight the Grimm, almost no one knew about the demons until some weeks in-universe.
    • Scarier still is how demons can easily deal with Grimm. They have no souls and can be possessed easier than any human. Their bodies can be manipulated like clay; in chapter 15 an Alpha Beowolf was turned into a goat-like being that was inert until a possessed body was kicked into it. The "idol" was possessed and had to be blown apart with a super shotgun shot to be killed, even creating a maw with rows of teeth from his chest and tentacles to grab the Slayer! Body Horror doesn't begin to describe it.
    • We later see a Beowolf try to run away from Deag Grav, but fail. That deserves special mention. The Grimm, soulless monsters that feed on fear, are absolutely terrified of the demons!
  • Deag Grav itself, the hell priest that tainted the Wraiths, turning them into living batteries for Hell, merged Argent D'Nur with Hell, and planned the trap that captured the Slayer, is the main threat to all Remnant. He has no problem with dirty tactics, including using dead bodies to hide himself before attacking (once in the cathedral and the second in the old ruins, killing Fox). He also doesn't give any chances to his enemies. In fact, he was the only one that objected to the idea of keeping the Slayer alive in the sarcophagus and despises the Dark Lord of the Fourth Age for punishing him for the Slayer's rampage and denying his ascension to a Baalgar, to the point of calling him ungrateful when the Lord called him in the D'Nurian ruin.
    • Had the rest of it’s kind actually listened to Deag Grav, they would have won! Had they killed the Slayer while he was sealed away like it suggested, there would be no one to stop Hell.
  • The Marysville Cathedral. Picture a ritualistic mass suicide where men, women, and children slit their throats, leaving an entire church of corpses rotting in death and decay.

    Remnant Inferis: DOOM Heartwarming Page
  • The opening shows that for all the Slayer's brutality and fury, he has a heart and does care for others. When he saw the humans the White Fang slaughtered, his face softened at the sight, before turning to pure rage at their killers.
  • The Doom Slayer and Ruby's growing friendship. As hard as he tries not to get attached, the Slayer finds himself growing to care for her and her team, in his own gruff way.
    • Case in point: During Hell's first invasion of Beacon and in spite of his temporary malfunctioning suit, he throws himself in between Ruby and Deag Grav, shielding her from a point blank blast of Hell energy.
    • After suffering from horrible nightmares, Ruby falls asleep on the Slayer's shoulder, and he lets her. It really shows how much trust they have in each other.
  • In flashbacks, the Slayer's father wiping out his and Hunter's kidnappers and beating the tar out of Quirinus after the fact goes to show just how much he cherishes his children.
  • He shielded Coco after she fell from a Bullhead, because even with her aura the fall would’ve still broken her spine.
  • The Slayer barely knew Fox, but after Deag killed him he even roared in rage, for having failed to save another innocent. It goes a long way to show that he really does care for those around him. Even Coco, Fox's old friend and partner, said that the Slayer took Fox's death even worse than the rest.
  • He doesn't kill Trifa after beating the rest of the White Fang and Salem's Faction just because he doesn't want to do that in front of Ruby (he even asked himself why he would care about what Ruby would think). Instead he left her to be arrested. It's rather touching that the Slayer is actively trying to restrain himself just so he can make someone he cares for happy.
  • The Slayer may have his problems with Atlas, but while he destroys Atlas robots and hurt Atlas soldiers from time to time, he never tries to kill any of them, even after they tried to arrest him after he saved Vale.
    • Speaking of which, while he was on brink of collapse because of his infection, he still let Atlas arrest him without a fight because he doesn't want anyone to get hurt because of him.
  • In chapter 19, the Slayer was planing to just kill all enemies still around (the cultists, Cinder, Salem), stop the SDC from investigating D'Nurian technology, and then go back to Mars. But he hesitated and added a new objective: Stop causing people to grow emotionally attached to him so they don't get hurt.
  • VEGA is an AI, but he truly cares about human lives. He even sounded preoccupied, trying to calm the Slayer's rage in the conference with the Council, and sounded as if with remorse when he talked about his failure to save the humans on Mars, saying that he had many regrets and he would do anything to get the girls back home.
    • He also reminded the Slayer that if he dies against the Marauder, it would be impossible to use the UAC's teleportation system to get Team RWBY out of Hell.
  • While in the elevator to the conference room, Velvet thought that the Slayer wasn't talking with her because she's a faunus, but, both the Slayer and VEGA have no problem about her being a faunus:
The Slayer: What's being beastkin got to do with it?" (...) "You're people too, ain't you?
VEGA: Judgement based on a person's appearance is counterproductive and ultimately meaningless.

    Remnant Inferis: DOOM Awesome Page
  • When the Slayer fought Winter, they ended up being surrounded by Grimm. The Grimm start to hesitate when they confront the Slayer. Yes, this race that is attracted to the fear and negativity of others is terrified of fighting the Slayer.
  • Villainous example, but the Marauder kicks all kinds of ass against team RWBY and the Slayer. He easily tears the girls apart and gives the Slayer such a hard time that the greatest bane of Hell decides that avoiding him is the better option.
    • In fact, the Marauder got up after his neck is broken, and, after being hit by shrapnel and getting run over by an APC, he caught the protagonists with a Bullhead, from which he jump off while on fire, not caring about the flames. Evil Is Cool indeed.
  • Remember that scene in Doom Eternal where the Slayer launches himself out of a canon to get to his destination? Well Ruby decided to take a few pages out of his book and launches herself to the top of the fortress wall by catching a cannon shell mid-flight and hitching a ride on the damn thing! She may be losing her mind, but Hell if she ain't getting more awesome.
  • In the first chapter the Slayer kills multiple armed White Fang's members even before putting his armor or weapons, showing how he doesn't need his tools to kick ass.
  • To his credit, Marlowe managed to damage part of the Praetor Suit before having his genitals cut off.
  • Slayer vs Adam was a pretty even match, with Adam's semblance even allowing him to superficially damage parts of the suit. It's mainly thanks to VEGA's intervention that the Slayer was able to get the upper-hand.
  • At chapter 4, Blake managed to use her superior speed and semblance against the Slayer, even cracking his visor before being interrupted by a possessed woman.
  • During the Grimm's invasion of Vale, team CFVY, the Slayer, Glynda, Ruby and Yang defeat most of the invasion force by themselves, which included a scene of the Slayer suplexing a enormous Beringel, a feat that impressed even Yang.
  • The Slayer stepping into a flaming airship that could explode at any moment to save anyone that could be alive inside, saving Weiss from a possessed huntsman.
  • The heroes, including Jaune, fought against the undead horde with some support from the Marines, which led to a "boss fight" against the possessed huntsman, Reinhold Schwarz, that was way stronger than the rest thanks to his aura still being active. The Slayer manages to win the fight by ripping out Reinhold's heart. Keep in mind, he's doing this while on the verge of collapsing due to a blood infection.
  • Winter ordered the Slayer to surrender to Atlas, but all his new companions stepped in, even Weiss. It takes some pretty big balls to step up and tell the strongest military force on Remnant - while exhausted from fighting an invasion, mind you - to shove off.
  • Ozpin matched the Slayer off-screen. What we know is that he face-planted him hard enough to bruise him even with his helmet on and that he threw him through 2 pillars. Quite the badass feat for the old wizard.
  • At chapter 19, the Slayer purposely fell into a trap and fought Neo and Mercury almost at the same time, only being stopped after being hit with Trifa's webs, ten-thousand volts of stun rifle, enough tranquilizers to paralyze a Goliath and repeated kicks in the face from Mercury. All of this only knocked him out for only a few minutes.
  • Cinder is, according to the Slayer, "almost as strong as Ozpin" with only half of a Maiden's Power, with her magical fire being hot enough to overheat the hell forged armor. It goes to show that even half a Maiden is still a force to be reckoned with.
  • For the villains, Marcus Black managed to evenly match Qrow after turning the Unmaker into a laser sword, disabled the Slayer enough for him to be thrown into the sea and hold out against Qrow, the Slayer, Hazel and Ozpin at the same time.

    Remnant Inferis: DOOM Funny Page
  • Remember all those action figures that players collect in the game? That's canon to the story. The Slayer actually went off the path and collected actual action figures of himself. Not even he knows why he did that. This also means that someone, for whatever reason, hid a series of action figures of the fucking Doom Slayer in random and downright outlandish locations.
  • Ruby decides to call William "BJ" as a short nickname. Guess how long it takes for it to register what that means.
  • After Cordovin tests the Slayer's patience one-to-many times, he says "fuck it" and just bashed her face into the retinal scanner so they can leave. Just the thought of a green armored Goliath like William bashing Cordovin's face like that is hilarious.
