- As he used to be a comedian entertainer, Tako tends to fill his speech brim with octopus-related puns and even litter in a joke or two. So far the deities of Japanese origin seem to understand them, to which upon being asked if they're funny, they suggest not to bother with them.
- Upon looking through Internet, Tako had noticed that people upon people kept constantly confusing his sons to him. He didn't know if to feel happy or baffled, but can't wait to brag about his sons great resemblance on him to other deities that seem to have similar offspring.
- Gets really along with Octodad, being quite glad that there's other octopi that had took part living on land - while also enjoying a family, and can converse with him in Octopi. Tako hopes his own children won't "lose the way of their dreams" like his more egoistic second son, Takosuke did.
- As part of his short-lived showbiz, Tako exhibits a quite good deal of narrating sports or events. He had even narrated an entire game about some of the Konami's mascots in the 90s flying through wacky worlds parodying their some of their own verses.
- Having traveled all around the space and even time itself, Tako had managed to come across a strange Earth-like planet with groovy music booming rightto the stratosphere. There he found out about Inklings and tried to befriend them, but all were at first wary upon him - until he showed his ink-redible space shooting skills.
- Lately lets Takohiko join the many Turf Wars with other Inklings, as long as he doesn't bring in his own weaponry.
- Upon coming across Ika Musume, the opinions got pretty split among the family: Tako seemed little iffy about her due her plans for world domination, while Takosuke grinned pretty maliciously, possibly considering to resurrect his old plan with her and exploit her through those mean means. Takohiko, being the precocious octoling he is, just took a nice liking to Ika-chan, and asked if she enjoys baseball or other games.
