Flypaper is a 2011 crime comedy mystery film directed by Rob Minkoff, written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, and starring Patrick Dempsey.
Tripp Kennedy (Patrick Dempsey) enters a bank last-minute for some change. While talking with the bank teller, Kailin Nest (Ashley Judd), he notices that two separate groups entering the bank are both here to rob the place. Seeking cover behind the desk together with Kaitlin, the two groups get into a shootout, and a different person gets shot and killed. Tripp tries to communicate with the two groups while he checks the shot man, and suggests that they can both rob the bank, the high tech professionals for the vault, and the two hillbillies at the ATM. After the hostages are locked in a room and the two groups go to plan, things seem off, as Tripp tries to figure out how two groups rob the same bank at the same time, how the person got shot, and why so many things that night are not going to plan.
