The [[TheNotSecret 'secret']] 2012 club, created and run by Inoue Souichi, is a place for students to gather and theorise about what the new year will bring. However, none of the crazy theories ever predicted what would happen when the members gathered at Inoue's house to celebrate- rather than the world ending, all of them blacked out and had strange visions. Unbeknownst to them at the time they had been blessed with super powers, and weren't the only ones- all around the world, blackouts both mental and technological happened, granting anyone who was hit by them with superpowers, and in the morning the sky was marred by mysterious yellow clouds.
Now the place is a gathering spot for the students, as they try to figure out their powers while dealing with their personal lives at the same time.
