Roleplay / Post Equestria

Go To

Post Equestria is a multi-media roleplaying game campaign. Starting in January 2015, this story has been collaboratively created. A cross-over between the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Fallout franchises. This may sound similar to another popular fanfiction by the name of Fallout Equestria. Despite many intentional similarities, Post Equestria takes place in a different continuity.

Filled with references and tropes, with a constantly evolving story. As the series is still underway, it remains to be seen if the characters will earn a happy ending.

Post Equestria contains examples of:

  • Accidental Misnaming: Dawn/Dusk can never seem to remember names.
  • Accidental Murder: Dawn's first major transition into Dusk at Stabletown, which killed Sun Spot.
  • Ambiguous Gender: Brightspark doesn't identify as either gender, and shows traits of both. Word of God is that all full dragons are like this, with gender roles seeming alien to them.
  • Anyone Can Die: A given, with the setting, and the death toll has risen steadily throughout the campaign. A few Player Characters have even joined the choir invisible.
  • Artistic License – Gun Safety: Firearm maintenance and care has been largely ignored.
  • Back from the Dead: While rare, there are some methods to bring back the dead. One of these, a machine, was used to bring back Boulder and Clover.
  • Barred from the Afterlife: Basil's condition after being cursed not to die by the Dark One.
  • Battle Trophy: Blackhilt had a habit of taking weapons from those who fought it.
  • Catchphrase: "Everything is fine/okay."
  • Game Master: The Eponymous Game Master.
  • Genre Savvy: Each of the players show this at some point or another.
  • Larynx Dissonance: Invoked anytime there's a female NPC. In the predominately female Equestria. Game Master is a terrible voice actor.
  • Player Character: The story is told from the prospective of the player characters, originally a group of ponies leaving Stable Six.
  • The Psycho Rangers: A Similar Squad the players keep running into. Notably, as not all of the players are actually good, not all of the opposing group are evil.
  • War Is Hell: The Battle of Hoofer Dam, most characters' first true combat experience, left some deep mental wounds in those involved from the sheer brutality of the fighting.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: Loose's accent veers into strange territories sometimes.
