  • In Can't Hardly Wait, while Denise and Kenny are trapped in a bathroom at the party, they both sing "The Right Stuff" to pass their boredom.
  • In To Die For, when Suzanne is interviewing Lydia and Russell about what their life goals ate, he claims that her life goal is to fuck the New Kids on the Block. This greatly angers her and she calls it a "dirty, vicious lie", even claiming that her goal is to do Mötley Crüe.

  • Saved by the Bell:
    • "Jessie's Song" has Kelly, Jessie and Lisa forming a singing group with Zack's help. Slater is intrigued by this.:
    Slater: I can just see it now: "The New Chicks on the Block".
    Jessie: Thank you, New Pig in the Booth.
    • "Rent-A-Pop" has Zack in a Imagine Spot where he believes that he will be grounded forever by his father over bad grades and is now an old man being visited by his similarly aged friends and talking about seeing their favorite group, The Old Men on the Block.
  • I Love The 80s episode "I Love 1989" features the panelists commenting on the band and its popularity, with specific attention being on Donnie.
  • A skit on In Living Color! had a woman desperate for a baby hold up a sperm bank. After walking out with a donor for a date, she then fired at a random cup, bragging that she just spared the world a new generation of the New Kids on the Block.
  • The first Christmas Episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air had Geoffrey performing a puppet show for Ashley, who fell asleep to it (although Will was truly entertained). As he left, Geoffrey admitted that his show could not compete along the lines of "MTV, Nintendo or The New Children on the Block".
  • In the Full House episode "Secret Admirer" when Joey erroneously believes that both Becky and Danny's girlfriend Cindy want him, his mind concludes that the "New Kids on the Block" cologne he's wearing is what attracted them to him.
  • A season two episode of Cousin Skeeter is named "New Kids on the Planet".

  • Family Guy episode "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" has Meg trying to take a cross away from Brian, whose growls eventually turn into the chorus of "The Right Stuff".
  • Johnny Bravo: In "A Johnny Bravo Christmas", Santa Claus initially mistakes guest Donny Osmond for Donnie Wahlberg.
  • The season four episode of The Simpsons "New Kid on the Block" was named after the band.
    • "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson" had Bart wind up at MAD Magazine where he encountered Alfred E. Newman, who mentions a potential featured cartoon called "The New Kids on the Blecch".
    • A later episode titled "New Kids on the Blecch" has Bart and his classmates involved in—what else?—forming a boy band. And yes, MAD Magazine plays a big part in the plot.
