- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders features an antagonist as part of the Egypt 9 Glory Gods named Mariah, after Mariah Carey herself. Interestingly enough, while JoJo is known for making countless references to music from the Western Hemisphere, Mariah's introduction to the manga was on December 10th, 1990, whereas Mariah Carey's Self-Titled Album was released on June 12th, 1990. At that point in time, Mariah still had yet to make a name for herself.
- In the final chapter of 25 Days of Curemas, Miyuki, Hana, and Hikaru wake up Hibiki on Christmas morning by playing "All I Want for Christmas is You" on full blast and dancing along to it.
- On Schitt's Creek Season Four, Patrick Brewer tells his love-adverse boyfriend he loves him, knowing that David has only ever said that to his parents twice and once at a Mariah Carey concert. Patrick delights David by telling him "You're my Mariah Carey."
