• Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: In "Bloooo" Frankie is stuck outside in the rain being stalked and terrorized by a hulking Fisherman-inspired figure who wears a raincoat and carries a hook. In the end however it turns out to be a non-threatening imaginary friend looking for the Home.
• Robot Chicken: In the skit "I Know What The Bratz Did Last Summer," the Bratz accidentally hit Barbie with their car and dump her body on the side of the road. A year later, a mysterious figure in a pink raincoat kills Cloe, Jade, and Sasha. Yasmin thinks it's Barbie killing them in revenge, but it turns out to be Draculaura from Monster High.
  Draculaura: Could it be? Monster High has killed Bratz the same way Bratz once killed Barbie?
• The Simpsons: The segment "I Know What You Diddily-Iddily-Did" from Treehouse of Horror X is a parody of the movie, with the Simpsons being targeted by the Fisherman after hitting Ned Flanders with their car and pretend he died of a heart attack. Flanders himself reveals to be the Fisherman, having survived the car accident because he became a werewolf moments before Marge hit him.
