Recap / Zatch Bell Ep 2 A Freezing Spell

Go To

Kiyo is still trying to figure out the mysteries of the red book while Zatch watches his favorite show "Praying Mantis Joe" on the tv. After they decide to head out they soon come across a frozen river and some fish, leaving Zatch delighted and Kiyo perplexed at what could have caused it. Before moving on Kiyo catches a glimpse of a man with a spellbook just like his and a young boy who looks very similar to Zatch. What could this possibly mean for our heroes?

Not long afterwards the duo show up again at a bank that Suzy is visiting and take her hostage along with a bunch of captured civilians. Upon seeing a news report on this and recognizing Suzy Zatch encourages Kiyo to go rescue her before she gets hurt. Kiyo is initially reluctant, claiming its a matter for the police to deal with, but quickly relents when he realizes just how dire the situation is becoming. Can Zatch and Kiyo defeat these strange new foes and rescue Suzy... or are they getting in way over their heads?
