With the Pharaoh reuniting with his other friends and Kaiba, they set out to California to have pictures enhanced.

• Captain Obvious Reveal: In-Universe. Yugi exclaims with shock that Dartz plans to resurrect the Great Leviathan and restore Atlantis, in which Kaiba states that everyone knew already.
  Yami: "Kaiba, sometimes I just like to blow off steam by reacting to obvious statements that everyone already knew about as though they were massive plot twists. Why don't you give it a whirl?"
  • In which, Kaiba joins in with massive ham that the man that took over his company is Dartz.
    Kaiba: "I can't believe what a twist this is!"
    (Yugi glares at Kaiba)
    Kaiba: "Too much?"
    Yami: "Way too much."
• Hollywood Hacking: Rebecca managed to hack into KaibaCorp. mainframe to get Yugi and Kaiba into the room they need to enhance the pictures.
  Joey: "That is definitely what hacking looks like. A bunch of zeroes and ones. This is so freakin' accurate."
• "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer:
  Yami: [Actual 4Kids Dialogue]"We'll meet you at the pier."
  Rebecca: "Which pier?"
  Yami: "You know, the pier."
  Rebecca: "What pier? Where?"
  Yami: "I'm really not sure how I can be more specific than that."
• Speaks in Binary: The description of the episode is in binary. It means "card games."
• Take That!:
  • Tristan tells Téa that they should inform the police of the events of the season because America has an "effective" justice system, accompanied by a Laugh Track.
  • More jabs at Season 4 when they did inform said police about it and they point out the holes in the entire story.
• Uncomfortable Elevator Moment: While the elevator is moving up, both Yugi and Kaiba stare at the door while asking each other's friend code for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. It becomes uncomfortable when Yugi apparently forgets Kaiba's contact during Battle City.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: Weevil is still in the desert while Rex and Alister are dropped in the helicopter to a medical facility. Only Joey brings it up.
