Recap / Yu Gi Oh SEVENS Ep 14 Romins Kitchen

Go To

Luke becomes distrustful of Romin, dismissing her as a traitorous spy due to her actions as a member of RoaRomin. Yuga proposes that she cook something for Luke to make up with him.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Ambiguous Situation: After Kaizo duels the Goha Drones, he enters a stoic state before returning to normal. Made more suspicious due to their duel being so fast Yuga was unable to gauge what had occurred.
  • Character Focus: This episode revolves around Romin, where she attempts to cook some curry for Luke under the supervision of Gakuto, Ranze, and Rinnosuke.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Romin justifies her mistakes saying she never cooked before. At one point, she uses it to explain why she added gunpowder to the pot. Gakuto points out that's not the issue there.
  • Easily Forgiven: Subverted. Even though Yuga and Gakuto forgave Romin easily, Luke isn't so trusting. After all, she did betray their trust even though they welcomed her with open arms.
  • Lethal Chef: Played with: It isn't what Romin cooks that is deadly (her curry rice is considered by the entire cast to be delicious in spite of its blue colouring), but her moving around the kitchen is (she ends up causing a dust explosion and creating gunpowder to add it as a spice). At the end of the episode she decides to add new spices and somehow floods Roa's apartment.
  • Mr. Exposition: Gakuto explains to the audience what a dust explosion is and how it happens as one is engulfing him (and everyone else in the kitchen). Ranze and Rinnosuke compliment him on how well he explained it.
  • Through His Stomach: Romin wants to apologize to Luke by making him (bright blue) curry.
  • Undying Loyalty: Ranze and Rinnosuke decide to try Romin's curry rice (that they believe to be deadly due to its colour and witnessing Romin in the kitchen) together with Gakuto, because if they can't save him they will die with him.
