Recap / Yu Gi Oh SEVENS Ep 19 The One Who Is A Throne

Go To

Yuga faces off against the personal throne and massage chair of Nail Saionji, Sebastian.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Downplayed since it isn't one huge mistake by itself, but Sebastian relied entirely on his one-turn kill, and so commits several mistakes along the way:
    • First, his strategy requires him to take damage to go off. To achieve it, he summons three monsters with 0 attack and then just allows Yuga to attack into them and taking all the damage, although this is a small mistake overall.
    • Then his strategy sends a lot of cards to Yuga's graveyard. Which, how already shown by Roa, is something that actually helps Yuga's deck, and in fact allow Sevens Road Magician to reach a whopping 3900 power.
    • Last, while he shows a back-up plan with a card that prevents Yuga from attacking 0 attack monsters and sends Sevens Road Magician back to his hand, this also has Yuga drawing seven cards. It's not confirmed whether the card that allows Yuga to win was actually one of the seven he drew or not, but still drawing that many cards dramatically increases your chances to find an answer. Sevens Road is also sent back to the hand during the first main phase instead of the battle phase, giving him the chance to just summon him again and attack.
  • One-Hit Kill: Sebastian attempts to wipe out the entirety of Yuga's LP with Dayu, the Dark King of Chairs, but fails due to Yuga lowering its ATK with Curtain of Sparks.
  • Sore Loser: Sebastian doesn't take the prospect of losing to Yuga well after his One-Hit Kill fails, and does everything in his power to stop him from facing and taking down Nail.
