This episode provides examples of the following:

• Forced Transformation: Tristan's mind is placed inside a robot monkey. He hates it at first, but adjusts to it quickly since he gets to be held by Serenity.
• Kid Has a Point: While the others are suspicious of the monkey robot unaware that its really Tristan, Serenity points out that it saved Kaiba. Joey begrudgingly takes it as a good thing.
• Kill Sat: Lector's ace monster is Satellite Cannon, an orbiting Machine monster that is able to attack from space. In addition to gaining 1000 attack points each turn, only the strongest of monsters can destroy it.
• Mythology Gag: Tristan's monkey form looks similar to the Acrobat Monkey monster in Duel Monsters.
• No-Sell: Lector's Deck Master Is Jinzo which means Kaiba's trap cards are off limits. He also blocks Kaiba's magic cards
• Wham Line: Lector pulled three lines on Kaiba.
  • First: "Now, it's time you pay the price for using others to get what you want, even your own brother!"
  • Second: "Then we realized that someone was leaking our plans to Gozaburo Kaiba. You told us that someone was your little brother Mokuba!"
  • Third: "You played us like fools! Mokuba wasn't the snitch now, was he? It was you, wasn't it, Mr. Kaiba?"
