As Yugi tries, in vain, to rally against Pegasus, Bakura overhears Croquet yelling at his men to recapture Mokuba. Yami Bakura decides searching for the prisoners' soulless bodies isn't a bad plan, and sets off to find Tristan.
Yugi tries to use Spellbinding Circle on Ryu-Ran, but Pegasus's Trap Displacement changes its target to Yugi's Summoned Skull, allowing Ryu-Ran to destroy it. Yugi's troubles only increase when Pegasus plays Toon World, turning Ryu-Ran and Red Archery Girl into nearly invincible Toons. To make matters even worse, he copies Summoned Skull, turns that into a Toon, and uses the Gorgon's Eye to hurt Yugi's Life Points when he places something in Defense mode! Victory seems all but assured for Pegasus.
Meanwhile, Yami Bakura helps Tristan escape by using Chain Energy, but they're pursued and cornered by guards at the top of a stairwell.

- Curb-Stomp Battle: Pegasus's trouncing of Yugi continues, making things even more difficult when he plays Toon World.
- No-Sell: None of Yugi's attacks can hurt Pegasus' toons.
- Taken for Granite: As seen with Yugi's Horn Imp, Pegasus's Gorgon's Eye trap turns any of his monsters to stone that are in defense mode and takes a chunk out of his life points when they're destroyed.
- Trap Is the Only Option: Pegasus intentionally sets off Yugi's Spellbinding Circle trap because he has a Trap Displacement ready to counter it.
