"Uncle Sheldon and a Hormonal Firecracker" is an episode of Young Sheldon that first aired April 28, 2022.
Mary and George Sr. are struggling with Georgie and Mandy's pregnancy, and try to keep it hidden from Missy and Sheldon. However, Missy and Sheldon quickly figure out the truth, and so Mary and George admit it to them, and demand that they keep it a secret.
Mary tries to talk to Pastor Jeff (Matt Hobby) about it in a roundabout way so as not to reveal that Georgie did it, and Jeff reiterates that it's the parents' responsibility to keep such things from happening.
That night, at dinner, the family reveals that they didn't keep the pregnancy a secret: Mary told Pastor Rob (Dan Byrd), George told Coach Wilkins (Doc Farrow), Missy told her friends at school, and Sheldon told Dr. Linkletter (Ed Begley Jr.), though the last one doesn't matter because Linkletter doesn't care at all about the situation.
Georgie is furious at everyone, especially since Mandy still hasn't told her parents. Connie is also very unsupportive of Georgie in the situation, and Mandy herself is still mad at Georgie. Missy later goes to Georgie's room to apologize, and he appreciates it.
In The Tag, no one shows up for Mary's Bible study, and she calls everyone to check on them, and everyone gives excuses as to why they can't come. Mary then calls Rob, who says that he is always there for her.

- Call-Back: Mary points out how smoking is "a disgusting habit".
- Cannot Keep a Secret: As is well known from The Big Bang Theory, old Sheldon has a very tough time keeping secrets. In this episode, young Sheldon feels such pressure to tell the secret that Georgie got Mandy pregnant that he blurts it out to Linkletter after class even though Linkletter doesn't care. Turns out no one in the family was able to keep the secret.
- Gilligan Cut: Coach Wilkins asks George if he wants to go to the bar and talk about his situation. George says he doesn't want to, and then it cuts to the two of them at the bar.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Missy had this when she realize that the pregnancy was a serious situation and blabbing about it is making Georgie even more stressed and worried with Mandy.
- Pet the Dog: When Sheldon revealed that he told Dr. Linkletter about the pregnancy, Georgie wasn’t mad because he knows Sheldon can’t keep a secret and it’s somebody that Georgie doesn’t know. Plus Dr. Linkletter doesn’t care.
