The search for Tara Markov continues – but who’s doing the searching and where?!

Tropes Featured in this episode:

  • Amazon Chaser: Victor's football team has eyes for the superheroines, with two of them commenting that if they woke up with superpowers they would ask out Wonder Woman (a literal Amazon) and Black Canary, respectively. Their towel boy, Cisco says he would ask out Zatanna.
  • Badass Normal: Bane has ditched the use of venom and now fights with his own strength, managing to fight Batman on equal terms.
  • The Cameo: The football team's towel boy is Cisco Ramon, aka the comic hero Vibe. Which makes it ironic that the players disparage the idea of him ever becoming a superhero.
  • Daddy Didn't Show: Silas Stone is so busy working on the Apokoliptan technology that he misses Victor's big game, and has apparently missed a few before that.
  • Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: When Cheshire encounters Will, her body language, facial expressions, and use of words are all implying she has another reason why she cut herself out of their lives, and she might not have returned to villainy of her own volition.
  • Deadpan Snarker: When Bane boasts that no one comes to his island unnoticed, Batman lists all the heroes and villains that have without missing a beat.
  • Immune to Bullets: Metamorpho's amorphous body is unharmed by bullets, a fact Deathstroke finds annoying.
  • Jerk Jock: Not Victor, but some of his teammates look down on their towel boy, Cisco, and mock him for imagining himself as a superhero.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Khary Payton voices one of Victor’s teammates using his own Cyborg voice from Teen Titans. The team also uses “Booyah!” As a team cheer.
    • This version of the Outsiders excludes three members of the comic-book version: Batman, Katana, and Metamorpho. Those three infiltrate Santa Prisca in this episode.
  • Painful Transformation: Deathstroke hits Metamorpho with an explosive while the latter is in gaseous form and mocks him about the pain. Metamorpho recovers on the spot and reveals he's always in pain, and has just learned to live with it.
  • Ship Tease: It's perfectly clear that Geo-Force has fallen for Halo more.
  • Shout-Out: Boo-yah!
  • Toilet Humor: Metamorpho changes into hydrogen sulfide and flies near some mooks to distract them, each of the mooks blaming the other for the smell. In other words, he became a fart.
