     The Lost Wards of Myrwyyn
  • Episode 1 – The Daring Grace, the last known functioning airship in Oredin, sets out from Geneva on a mission from Queen Evelyn. A passenger and newly-minted Artificer named Rowan finds his interest piqued by Tektite, a recently salvaged and repaired Warforged from the Draconic Era. Five days out from Geneva, the ship is assaulted by wood elves riding on giant eagles and an incautious use of a Flaming Sphere spell by the party Cleric Hoff results in a crash landing on a small island in the middle of the Thelusian Sea.
  • Episode 2 – The party are tasked with organising a search and rescue mission for any crewmen that fell overboard during the crash. Captain Sawyer reveals that the Queen has tasked the crew with investigating a lead into the Lost Wards of Myrwyyn, a fabled vault of powerful magical artifacts sealed away by the Imperial Wizard Myrwyyn shortly before he disappeared from the face of Oredin one hundred years ago.
While scouting the island, Second recognises a statue that depicts Myrwyyn and concludes that they may have stumbled across a hidden entry to Mythfont, though the party are unable to decipher the Sylvan runes carved upon it. Back at the ship, Mr. Reed is able to translate the runes and so the party venture back out to investigate further. The party discover that the statue has a permanent Forbiddance spell cast upon it and find signs that there have been recent visitors to this island.
The party encounter two wood elves who are investigating a stone archway on a hilltop, spying on them from a distance before laying a trap for them. The elves avoid the trap, spot the party and fly away on their mount. Taylor is able to cast a Mind Spike spell on the eagle mount in order to track it. The party investigate the stone archway on the hilltop and find a set of arcane runes and script in Old Valkarian carved upon it.
  • Episode 3 - The party arrive at the Eagle Rider camp at nightfall to ambush their foes but discover the camp is mostly deserted. The party swiftly incapacitate the meagre resistance, Hoff managing to set half of the camp ablaze with another Flaming Sphere. They find a map and notes in Elvish in one of the tents which Second is able to read over. The notes mention that the Elves are also seeking the Lost Wards of Myrwyyn, their next step is to investigate the ruined temple at the top of the mountain and that they had a spy aboard the Daring Grace.
The party take one of the defeated elves captive and plan to head back to the Daring Grace to interrogate/torture her for information. As they camp for the night, Tektite sees more giant eagles flying by overhead and wakes the others to warn them that the Daring Grace has been raided by elves.
When they arrive back at the ship they find that the two watchmen have had their throats slit, the Captain's Quarters have been ransacked and both Captain Sawyer and Avernicus the Ship's Artificer are missing. The party conclude that they will need to find the spy amongst the crew, a cursory search of the ship reveals that Qiyana is no longer aboard and was almost certainly the spy.
  • Episode 4 - The party discuss what their next move should be with First Mate Leventree and settle on interrogating their prisoner before setting out to try and rescue their crewmates in the morning. Rowan's efforts to negotiate with the elf captive Velna go poorly as he proves far too willing to divulge information in an effort to arrange a parley and hostage exchange, while ignoring the outright hostility that she shows towards humans.
The group head to the temple on the mountaintop so that Rowan can attempt the prisoner exchange, with the rest of the party standing ready should a fight break out. Qiyana stops Rowan at arrowpoint outside the temple, tells him to hand over the prisoner and then calls him a fool when he complies. With Rowan's attempt at a parley having failed, XO Leventree leads the charge to rescue their crewmates by force.
When the leader of the elves Caelan of the Ancient Vale appears, Rowan again insists upon attempting to parley and instructs the party to stow their weapons. Negotiations break down when Caelan remains firm that the only terms he will accept are the party agreeing to abandon their quest to find the Lost Wards of Myrwyyn and leave the island.
The party barely scrape through the fight that follows, which concludes with Caelan using Misty Step to escape on one of the Giant Eagles.
  • Episode 5 – The party reunite with Captain Sawyer and Avernicus, the Captain suggests that it would be safer for a member of the party to keep hold of her orders from Queen Evelyn so that they will be more secure in the hands of a less obvious target. Second volunteers to keep the papers safe.
Rowan uses a ritual Detect Magic spell and finds a powerful Abjuration spell inside the Temple of Vidyan. Hoff reasons that because Vidyan is associated with the moon and stars, the Temple may respond to the presence of light from the moon Vydrin when it shines in through the Temple's skylight at night. Most of the party set up camp in the Temple to wait until nightfall, while Tektite escorts Captain Sawyer and Avernicus back to the Daring Grace.
The party wait for the moon to be full on the night of the summer solstice, the moonlight reveals runes of a Planar Binding spell with a woman bound within who greets them in Sylvan, then Common. Zaka, the Ward Guardian, tests the party's motives and then binds them with a Geas that instructs them to protect the treasures in the vault of Mythfont and ensure they are not used for evil purposes.
Zaka reveals the sigil sequence to open the archway that will lead to Mythfont and explains that they will need to break her Planar Binding circle to ensure the Forbiddance spell cast over the island is broken so that they may return from Mythfont via the same portal.
  • Episode 6 – The party set out again in the morning to use the sequence of runes provided to them by Zaka to open the arcane archway to leads into Mythfont. Inside of Mythfont they find a series of doors marked with symbols of different phases of the moon, some are locked while others are open.
The party head through the door that leads to the east and encounter a group of Duergar, Tektite attempts to greet them in Dwarvish but they react with hostility. After the fight, the party find a hole that the Duergar dug to climb up from the library room below and discuss whether to drop down to investigate or progress further into Mythfont.
In the next room, the party find an arcane glyph concealed within the wall that proves to activate an Antimagic Field. The party discover a number of spell scrolls on the bodies of more Duergar who appear to have met their end in one of the defensive traps within Mythfont.
In the next room, the party find their progress barred by a pair of double doors that are thickly overgrown with thorny vines, their attempts to hack their way through with fire and blades proves ineffectual.
The party backtrack, Tektite falling through some loosened floor tiles and crashing into the gallery below. Tektite starts to explore the gallery but finds his progress impeded by an invisible barrier. As the rest of the party gather to haul Tektite back up with a rope, Tektite spots a construct that has activated in the next chamber over and started patroling as an intruder alarm goes off.
  • Episode 7 – The party return from their first unsuccessful foray into Mythfont and report to Captain Sawyer. The party check through the spell scrolls that they found and find a scroll of Fabricate which Avernicus can use make repairs to the Daring Grace's hull so that it might sail to Grovhaire. Captain Sawyer concludes that they should focus on locating the other Wards to open the way into Mythfont fully, telling the party that they will leave the island as soon as Avernicus has completed the necessary repairs.
The party decide to venture down into Mythfont again, using what time they have left to complete their exploration of the small fraction of the vault that has been opened to them. Second climbs down into the library, activating the intruder alarm and the patrol constructs once again which he evades by casting Invisibility on himself. He finds rows of bookshelves stacked high with scrolls labelled in Sylvan, he reasons that each bookshelf seems to be dedicated to a different Arcane Tradition.
Hoff checks on the door that is overgrown with thorns and stumbles across more Duergar, one of whom is very bloodied from having tried to cross through the thorny doorway. Hoff attempts to retreat to warn his friends but finds himself waylaid by the Duergar who have cast Invisibility upon themselves. Hoff presses the glyph to deactivate the Antimagic Field so that the Dancing Swords will spring to life and attack the Duergar. After the fight is concluded, Taylor tosses the corpse of one of the Duergar into the wall of thorns. The viney tendrils constrict around it and pull the corpse deeper into the green mass of thorny growth.
Second starts to pilfer spell scrolls from the shelves but is interrupted when two Stone Defenders return to the room on patrol. Tucking away the three spell scrolls he has managed to grab, Second darts back over to the rope that the party have lowered to him and climbs back up to join them. Hoff questions whether it would be safe to take the scrolls from Mythfont when the Stone Defenders seem to be protecting the treasures and might pursue the party should they steal anything. The party decide to try and dismantle the constructs and prepare for combat.
  • Episode 8 – The party defeat the Stone Defenders and Rowan dismantles one to study its construction and salvage for useful components. Meanwhile the rest of the party fill up their packs with spell scrolls from the bookshelves, including several scrolls from a bookshelf labeled “Histories”. The party venture into the gallery that Tektite had spotted previously, finding a museum with many beautiful pieces of art and priceless artifacts on display, each one protected by a Wall of Force spell. Another Stone Defender is activated by their intrusion and so the party prepare for combat once again.
  • Episode 9 – Rowan instructs the party to be more careful in their fight with this second Stone Defender, allowing him to salvage an undamaged power core from the construct that can be used to make repairs to the Daring Grace's elemental engine.
Unable to progress any further due to the Walls of Force, the party backtrack and discover a small reading room with books of fairy tales and legends in the most common languages of Oredin: Common, Dwarvish, Elvish, Halfling and Gnomish.
As they continue deeper into Mythfont, the party stumble across a chess puzzle which teleports Hoff back to the entrance when his "piece" is taken. Hoff dashes through the passageways to catch back up to the rest of the party and accidentally stumbles into the Dancing Swords trap, suffering several nasty slashes before he manages to get clear.
When Tektite is similarly displaced by the chess puzzle, he uses his Primeval Awareness to gather his bearings and is disturbed to sense the presence of many different types of extraplanar beings within Mythfont, including – to his consternation – a Dragon.
The party continue to explore and discover another arcane archway, Tektite attempts to open it using the sigil sequence they received from Zaka but this archway doesn't respond. The party then find a lounge where an illusory message from Myrwyyn greets them, bidding them to enjoy the hospitality provided by an Unseen Servant. Tektite attempts to brute force the solution to the sigil sequence to the second archway but this proves to be a wasted effort.
  • Episode 10 – The party return to the Daring Grace which sets sail for the island city of Grovhaire. XO Leventree tells the party that it will take several days for Avernicus to finish repairs to the elemental engine while in drydock and so they have been granted shore leave.
Before the party are permitted entry to the city proper they have to declare their weapons and magic items, they also have to convert their gold into the local currency of the city (with the bank taking a 10% cut), the party are also informed that they will be fined for unlicensed use of magic if they cast any spells within the city. They are informed that to obtain the right to use magic or weapons while within the city they would need to be sponsored by one of the city's noble Houses.
Tektite insists on locating a forge to purchase a lance that he can use to kill a Dragon, so he and Rowan visit a Dwarven forge to speak with Rowan's old friend Fairfax. Tektite requisitions a Lance of Dragonslaying and Fairfax explains that it will be both expensive and difficult to craft such a weapon, requiring tracking down rare materials and obtaining the cooperation of a Master Enchanter from the University.
Taylor finds a shady establishment named Folco's Scriptorium and sells all but one of the spell scrolls that she looted from Mythfont.
Hoff meets another Air Genasi named Celine while on his way to the Temple of Orad, he is excited to meet another Genasi for the first time in his life. Hoff meets Father William at the Temple of Orad and donates the spell scroll of Hallow that he found in Mythfont to the church's cause.
Rowan and Tektite head to the University to speak to Dean Wexell (the head of the College of Enchantment), Tektite is peppered with questions from curious academics as they wait. Dean Wexell seems intrigued by the challenge of creating a Dragonslaying weapon but repeats Fairfax's warning that it will be a time intensive process and require rare components. Tektite suggests to Rowan it may be faster to track down the Dragonslaying Lance that belonged to his “brother” Titanite.
The party regroup back at the docks at dusk and arrive in time to witness an elven terrorist open a portal to the Feywild and unleash a swarm of bloodthirsty Meenlocks into the city.
  • Episode 11 – The party fight the horde of Meenlocks and the elven terrorist, who eventually casts a Fireball spell centered on himself to deal as much damage as possible in his final moments. The party scrape through a tough fight by the skin of their teeth.
In the aftermath of the fight many civilians are left dead or wounded, Hoff heals as many as he can while Rowan assists with triage using his medical knowledge. A marine takes Hoff's statement about the incident, noting down that the party made use of magic without a sponsorship from one of the noble houses but assures that he will petition his Captain to have the fines waived in recognition of the party's selfless defence of the city. Hoff mentions that the party have had previous encounters with Wood Elf extremists who might be connected to this attack.
On their way back to the Daring Grace, the party are stopped by Nestor Falco who interviews them about the attack for the city's newspaper.
Back at the Daring Grace, the party sort through the historical scrolls that they found in Mythfont.
  • Episode 12 – Hoff agrees to help Celine recover her familiar which she claims has been kidnapped by a noble lady named Chelsea of House Andros.
Rowan strikes a deal with a local artisan to start manufacturing Stone Defenders like the ones the party had fought in Mythfont utilising the designs he drew up from his studies of the defeated constructs.
  • Episode 13 – Avernicus sends the party into the city to collect some final components that he has ordered to complete the repairs to the ship's elemental engine. When they arrive at the Artificer's Workshop they find an unconscious Gnome behind the front desk and hear whispers coming from the back room.
Meanwhile, Hoff pays a visit to the Andros household to meet with Chelsea, she casts a Dominate Monster spell on him which has the side-effect of freeing Fratelli the faerie dragon who had previously been under the same spell.
Back at the Artificer's Workshop, the party fight the Tallfellow thugs they find in the back room and rescue a second Gnome.
Tektite comes to House Andros looking for the “dragon” that Celine mentioned, he manages to shake Hoff enough to break Chelsea's hold over him.
The party collect the components that Avernicus ordered and bring them back to the Daring Grace so that the Artificer can complete the ship's repairs. Avernicus lets the party know that Captain Sawyer has set Coryal Forest as their next destination which causes Tektite to leave the crew as he'd been set on heading to Ironstone Hall.
The following morning, the Daring Grace sets sail for Coryal Forest.
