The Brotherhood decides to take a break from their quest to visit the world-renowed Trool Fair, looking for Evangelyne's sister, Cleome. The aggravated relationship between Dally and Eva isn't helped when he actually meets Cleo, who has many things in common with the Iop much to her sister's dismay. Not helped by the fact that Cleo got involved in the Gladiatrool fight, and needs both Dally and her sister to fulfill her contract. Meanwhile, in the Sadida Kingdom, Adamai, still embittered by the Council's results and taxed by having to babysit the ferocious Grougal, is visited by Qilby, who has a proposition to make...

Tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: As Cleome is about to be hospitalized by the Troolidor brothers, Sadlygrove joins the fray and rescues her.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": When Eva tries to question Dally's strategy lessons, Rubilax bellows a loud and prolonged "SILENCE!!" to prevent her from speaking.
  • Birds of a Feather: Sadlygrove and Cleome, much to Evangelyne's dismay. The fact that her relationship with Dally is strained isn't helped at all by Cleome's presence.
  • Breather Episode: The main plot with the Brotherhood is, essentially, a day at a fair with some wrestling in for good measure.
  • Call-Back: The Gladiatrool Arena uses the same inhibitors as Justice Knight. Dally even fears that he'll end up in his underwear again.
  • Captain Ersatz: Leonzi Trool looks a lot like a certain racing-loving alien.
  • Compensating for Something: When Rubilax doesn't change size while in the ring (as unknown to Dally there's an inhibitor set up for fair play), Dally turns to Cleo and sheepishly apologizes that this is the first time he's failed at this.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The Troolidor brothers utterly butchers Cleome's companions, but when Sadlygrove joins the fun the brothers don't last long.
  • I Gave My Word: Evangelyne enters the fight against the champion on the condition that Cleo swears that she'll return to the Citadel after that. Cleome swears solemnly... while crossing her fingers behind her back.
  • In-Series Nickname: Sadlygrove gets christened with the arena name of "Brawlinator" for the match.
  • Jerkass Realization: A wordless one when, after defeating Mirkool, Dally notices just how sullen and downbeat Eva is.
  • Kick Them While They're Down: Mirkool finds himself on the receiving end after losing his braid and his combat spirit.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": As previously mentioned, Cleo is a huge fan of the Brotherhood, and can't believe she's fought side to side with Sadlygrove, the "Ginger Warrior". She's incredibly excited to meet Ruel and Yugo in person too, and is practically starry-eyed when listening to Dally's tactics lesson on fighting Trools.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Most Cras are refined, level-headed long-distance fighters. Cleome is a hot-blooded lass who prefers to fight in melee over using her bow (actually a wrist-mounted crossbow).
  • Shout-Out: The owner of the Trool Fair is Leonzi Trool, a pun on the journalist Léon Zitrone.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: While Eva and Cleo obviously have some familial issues to work through, Cleo's relationship with Amalia seems to boil down to this on Amalia's end, with Cleo happy to pull some The Gadfly tricks on Amalia while the princess is eager to get rid of her as fast as possible.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Ruel notes Cleo and Eva really do look a lot alike (Eva's surly mood to Cleo's eager one aside).
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Even though Dally had a point in complaining about Eva treating him like a dumb Iop, his and Rubilax's immature and cold disdain towards her are excessive.
  • Traumatic Haircut: Dally defeats the giant wrestler Mirkool by, essentially, scalping him.
  • Wham Line: At the end of the episode, Qilby appears before Adamai and tells him he has something he wants to show him and uses the Eliacube to open a portal.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Dally and Cleome employ several wrestling moves. Despite her disdain for it, Eva proves no slouch herself when she enters the ring too.
