Recap / Voltron: Legendary Defender S8E10

Go To

"Honerva may be more powerful than each of us alone, but the strength of ten Paladins working together as one is the strongest force in the universe."
Alfor

The paladins enter Honerva's mind and find themselves on a projection of Daibazaal. Pidge theorizes that Honerva doesn't know that they're in her mind because they're swept up in the chaos. Before they can go to where the entity wants them to go, however, the team is pulled into fighting the Arusian Robeast, which is a guardian protecting Honerva's thoughts and memories. The original paladins hold off the beast as the team proceeds onward. They see flashes of Honerva's memories, including the previous paladins' deaths and the Altean colony.

In a memory of Altea, the team is attacked by Zarkon's mecha and form Voltron to fight it. The previous paladins return, giving Voltron the boost it needs to vanquish it. Zarkon's soul is freed. Allura angrily transmits memories of the Galra's conquering to Zarkon, who admits he was blinded by the Quintessence, and says that he was placed to guard Daibazaal's moon, which Allura recognizes as the entity's source. The Black Lion destroys the moon, revealing that Honerva's goal is to bend reality and find a timeline where she can live happily with her family. Honerva figures out that the paladins are in her mind. Zarkon wishes to give up but is convinced to carry on by Keith and Alfor, and the ten paladins form Voltron to take her on. However, the team's subsequent actions against Honerva knock Allura unconscious.
