• Big "SHUT UP!": Trina says this, when the others at her house point out that they get why they didn’t ask her to be the one to sing the national anthem.
• Eek, a Mouse!!: Cat mentions that it isn’t living so bad living inside the Hollywood Arts building, except for the giant mice that fall down from the ceiling. This shocks Robbie and Jade, and a mouse then falls on the former right after, landing on his face and causing them to freak out.
• Implausible Deniability: When Robbie and Jade further question Cat about her strange goings on at Hollywood Arts, she keeps coming up with lies. Even when caught in the act, she tries to distract them with something else or pretend that they’re telling a joke.
• Instant Humiliation Just Add Youtube: After Tori was dragged around by Buck the dog on TV, Jade informs her that 50+ people had posted it online.
• Insistent Terminology: After her disastrous national anthem performance, Tori is apologized by her mother, saying that she didn’t know she would mess up the song. Tori furiously says that she did NOT mess it up, she was just dragged around the gym floor by Buck while she was singing.
• Let's Get Dangerous!: After the talk show host tells the audience that he’s setting up a gag to humiliate Tori even further, Andre and Beck are not having it. So they sneak backstage to get the explosive device that is used as part of the prank and put it on the chair that the host is sitting on as he presses the button.
• National Anthem: Tori sings "The Star-Spangled Banner" on TV at a Northridge college.
• We Need a Distraction: At the talk show, Andre has to get the female backstage crew out of the way so he can take out an explosive device on a Buck model set to humiliate Tori. So he has Beck come in to let the girls fawn over him, while Andre takes out the explosive device.
