Cat is depressed when her favorite actress passes away, and Tori and Jade offer to take her to her house in San Diego to honor her, but they face severe weather conditions on the way there.
Meanwhile, Trina gets more than she bargains for after spreading a rumor that Beck asked her out.
Tropes:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: After Trina spreads a rumor that Beck asked her out, in the hopes that it would have boys fighting over her, it seems like Beck returns her affections. But it soon draws the attentions of Andre and Robbie, who all start fighting each other for her. Once she runs away to get help it turns out to have been an elaborate ruse perpetrated by Andre, Beck and Robbie to teach her a lesson about spreading lies.
- Break the Cutie: Cat is reduced to tears when Jade initially refuses to take her to Mona's house.
- Call-Back: After Jade makes fun of Tori's description of her and Cat's science project, Tori tricks her into eating a muffin that she found under the car seat, which acts as revenge for Jade's garbage coffee prank in Season 1.
- Determinator: Cat stops at nothing to persuade Tori and Jade to drive her to Mona's house so she can light her candle and perform her ritual.
- Does Not Drive: When Cat asks Tori to drive her, she reveals is the only member of the cast who doesn't have a license. Having failed her test after running over an old lady in a wheelchair while taking it. It's left uncertain if Tori was banned from taking a retest, or if she chose not to try again after this incident.
- Like an Old Married Couple: Tori and Jade play this role (because of course they do) while Cat essentially acts as their needy child.
- Not Quite Dead: In the middle of Cat's ritual, Mona emerges from her home and the girls realize she's still alive.
- Poor Communication Kills: The reason Cat thinks Mona died was she misread a news heading, Mona Patterson Joins The Dead. Turns out, she was starring in a new show.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Mona didn't die after all; she is starring in a new show and the headline confused Cat. But Cat's candle causes a fire at Mona's house, and Mona is sent to the hospital and blames her for it.
- Special Guest: Shirley Jones of The Partridge Family fame, as Mona Patterson.
- Wham Line:Cat: You guys, I'm not gonna sit here, and listen to the two of you fight for the next two hours!
Tori: Well, she's the one who... Two hours?!
Jade: I thought we were just driving to some dead actress's house and lighting a candle.
Cat: We are. Her house is in San Diego.
